Part 14 - Laura's Jealousy

Laura smiled faintly at Davira's words, she immediately wrapped a new bandage around Davira's ankle and then put her tools back in her bag.

"But I think you're too brave, Davira. Are you that confident? You're so sure that Nathan won't kill you if you keep rebelling like that?" Laura raised one eyebrow.

"Why did you get mixed up? Nathan's gonna kill me, it's none of your business. So you better get out of this room, your job is done, isn't it, Doctor?"

Davira looked at Laura coldly, as she always did to her enemies.

Laura clenched her hands tightly, "Just wait, Davira. Nathan's gonna kill you right away if he's bored, don't be so proud just because he's been chasing you for three years. Now that you've got her, her curiosity will soon be over, so will your life."

Davira chuckled slightly, "You know so much apparently, I'll wait for that moment to arrive. Nathan's boredom to chase after me, that's what I've been waiting for all this time" he glanced at the name tag attached to Laura's left chest.

"But you must remember, Dr. Laura. Even if Nathan got tired of me, he wouldn't turn around after you. Impossible if a man lowers his taste," the corner of Davira's lips is drawn to the side. Just by hearing what Laura said to him alone, she already knew that there was jealousy that Laura felt.

"So your mouth!" laura's voice was raised, she felt angry that Davira had really insulted her blatantly. Davira had humbled him behind the words that came out of his mouth.

"You're supposed to take care of him! Your job is to treat me here, so it's best not to interfere with the private affairs of those who have already paid you!" davira's jolt made Laura unable to say anything more.

Enraged and upset, Laura immediately stepped out of Davira's room.

Brakes.

Laura closed the door loudly, Davira just kept quiet and rolled her lazy eyeballs.

"Sad woman," he muttered and laid down his body to calm his troubled mind.

Davira tries to reorganize her breathing, she must be calm and must not be rash. Davira begins to convince himself that he can get through this. She is a strong woman and always will be, Davira must be able to avenge her entire family and Damian by killing Nathan.

He must be able to eliminate Nathan with his own hands, he will not let Nathan keep breathing when the breath of his family and his lover is taken away.

Davira stared at the white ceiling of the room, he should be able to take revenge. And for revenge, he must recover first.

While in the room, Nathan was sitting while watching his laptop screen that showed the entire room Davira. He smiled faintly at Davira who was seen banging on a pillow and could not stay in his bed.

Geck.

Geck.

There was a knock on the door, "Come in."

Nathan only glanced at Laura who entered his room and immediately sat on the opposite chair, making the two now separated by a large table on the left and right side there is a pile of files.

"You're seriously doing this, Nathan? You're really gonna keep him here with you?" laura asked quite boldly as they had indeed been familiar for many years.

"I've been acting this far, of course I'm serious. Why?" Nathan spoke without looking at Laura's face, preferring to focus on watching Davira's activities in the room through her laptop screen.

Laura breathed a deep breath trying to control her facial expression, she still felt so upset by the Davira thing just now. And now Nathan's attitude becomes increasingly indifferent to him.

Nathan frowned at what Laura said, he immediately turned to look at Laura with both hands linked on the table.

"There's nothing wrong with that, I like everything in Davira" Nathan said, sending Laura's feelings crumbling to pieces.

For so long Laura harbored feelings for Nathan, she so admired Nathan's near-perfect figure. The man had an attractive physique and a trait that really made Laura fall in love.

Laura is so fond of cold and ambitious men like Nathan, but it turns out that Nathan's cold nature is what makes her feel tormented. Nathan never looked at him much less showed any interest in him. Especially after Nathan met Davira, his chance to conquer Nathan's heart became extinct instantly.

Ever since Nathan was obsessed with having Davira, Laura really felt more and more eliminated. Almost every time he met, Nathan always called Davira's name, it made him really feel sick.

"But, Nathan. Davira..he can't possibly return your feelings after everything that happened."

Nathan looked at Laura flat and then slipped a cigarette between his lips, he burned the tip of the cigarette with his lighter and sucked it deeply.

"There's no need to think about Davira's feelings for me, I told you not to come here to talk about Davira. But my grandmother, how is she doing right now? I heard he was taken to the hospital."

Laura cleared her throat briefly, even though she still wanted to talk about Davira. But it looks like Nathan is not wanting his new item on the nosy.

"Mrs Gayatri is fine, last week I checked," Laura replied, letting Nathan sigh in relief.

"Where is he now? I couldn't reach him, he hasn't picked up my phone since yesterday."

Laura was stunned for a moment, she felt hesitant to say about Gayatri's current whereabouts. The old woman had already banned him over the phone, but he couldn't possibly lie to Nathan either. He did not want Nathan to stay away from him because he thought it was no longer important and was more on the side of the grandmother.

"The lady is in Bali right now."

"He's going to Indonesia? When's? Wasn't he in a hospital in Seville?"

"Two days ago, just as you were assaulting the church where Davira and Damian were getting married."

Nathan exhaled his cigarette smoke violently, he knew that this would happen. Her grandmother must have known about what she did.

"Just calm down, Nathan. Madam is angry, but she's still gonna move to clean up the mess you've made. You know very well that what you're doing is really electrifying the underworld."

"I know about it, I've considered everything. So I took out the entire Lee family so that no one would take revenge, and for my grandmother's troubles. Is he very angry? She really didn't pick up my phone, but I just wanted to know how she was."

"I don't know, you can meet him right away. He just called me for a minute to consult on his health issues."

"Well, you can go, Laura. I'll call you again for Davira, so I hope you don't go back to Sevilla or to Indonesia, even if my grandmother asks."

Laura simply nodded softly, "I'll be back at the hotel, see you, Nathan," the woman immediately stood up from her seat.

"Laura, I ask that you not tell anyone that I am currently in Japan with Davira."
