Part 04 - Night Dark

Davira wriggled on the king-size mattress she was on, she blinked her eyes several times when her ears heard a commotion outside her room. He had only slept for about 2 hours, but now having to wake up made him cluck in annoyance. 

Dor's!

Davira was aghast in shock and immediately jumped off the top of his soft bed. His eyes that still felt heavy had to be wide open.

"Damn, what's going on?" he muttered directly to pick up the gun that was inside his drawer. 

Davira shook her head quickly as a dizzy feeling approached her. 

His heart now felt palpitating, his eyes glanced at the clockwork of the wall which showed at 2 p.m.

Dor's!

Dor's!

The sound of consecutive gunshots rang out loud making Davira immediately open the door of her room and pop out a little head to see what was going on.

His eyes widened to see dozens of masked people now shooting at the servants and also his men who of course shot back.

"Damn it, how could this mansion be attacked?"

Without a second thought, Davira, who was currently wearing a nightgown that was up to her ankles, immediately came out of her room and pulled the trigger.

Dor's!

The head of one of the men who attacked them was now pierced by hot lead coming from his gun.

"What did Miss do? Miss, you better get back in the room!" shouted one of his men trying to protect him. 

But Davira ignored him and returned fire from the masked men. He didn't want to just stay in the room and hide the end of which those people would still find him.

Davira continued to curse when he saw the bodies of his servants lying on the floor covered in blood.

"Who told you to fuck?!" shouts Davira so angry.

Dor's!

His men continued to fall making Davira start to feel panic. He immediately ran as fast as possible to find the whereabouts of Gaffar and also Roselyn Choi, his Mama.

Quickly Davira ran down the stairs so long that it would take her to the 2nd floor, the woman immediately opened the elevator door. How shocked he was when his eyes saw the figure of his grandmother lying covered in blood with a hollow head.

Davira shut her mouth, her eyes feeling so heated. But seeing the masked men getting closer made Davira immediately enter and close the elevator door quickly.

"Grandmother," Davira sobbed while crouching, her hands shaking touching the dead grandmother's body.

She did not expect that she would see her grandmother in her current state. During his life he respected the grandmother very firmly and also hard, but behind the attitude of his grandmother was a tremendous affection for him. 

Ting!

The sound of the elevator doors opening made Davira hurriedly stand up while wiping away the rough tears that drenched her cheeks. Davira was shocked to see that two masked men had confronted him.

Without a warning Davira immediately pulled the trigger and shot the two men alternately without having time they avoided or attacked back. 

Davira crouched down and unmasked the men, her hands clenched tightly as she saw a small tattoo on the necks of the two men. The tattoo that formed a dragon and the letter X that he knew was made by the Xie family as a sign for their people.

That means the people who are now attacking his mansion are the Xie family's man, Davira thought. The woman immediately got up and ran towards her Papa and Mama's room.

Suddenly, Gaffar is seen thrown out of the room with a bullet that has been lodged in his distended stomach.  

"Father!" chanting Davira further accelerated his pace to get closer, Gaffar turned to him while shaking his head slowly. 

Dor's!

"Let's Dad!"

Davira's shout echoed as he looked at Gaffar's shattered head before his eyes. Davira's breath until choked, he stared at Papa's body in disbelief. Everything happened so quickly without stopping. 

"Davira run!" roselyn's screams were heard along with the appearance of 2 gunmen from inside her parents' second room.

Roselyn is seen being dragged by her hair, her Mama's face looks bruised from the blow.

Davira immediately pointed the gun, but when he pulled the trigger, nothing happened because it turned out that the bullet inside was gone.

"Run Davira!"

Dor's!

"Mama!" shouts Davira saw her Mama who was shot just like that until now lying next to her Papa's body.

Davira immediately took the gun belonging to two people he had shot and immediately shot the bullet towards one of the people who had killed both parents.

But along with that, bullets were also released towards him.

"Akh....."

Davira immediately fell to the floor very hard when a single bullet was now embedded in his right chest. Fresh blood poured down from there, his gaze starting to feel blurry.

One drop of clear liquid came out from his eye patch when he saw his parents lying dead.

Davira's hands clenched tightly together with his hatred for the Xie family that was getting stronger. His consciousness began to gradually dissipate slowly making him now engulfed by the darkness.

The beautiful woman's eyelids slowly opened, she stared at the white ceiling above her until she realized something that made her immediately try to stand up.

"Father!" his shout was hoping that what happened that night was just a dream, but his circumstances now explained to him that the night had all really happened.

Waking up weakly lying with an infusion attached to his hand, Davira pulled the infusion straight away, sending fresh blood flowing from the back of his hand. 

"Davira," looks Damian who just entered the room along with a female doctor. 

Damian immediately approached Davira who was sitting on his mattress and was seen trying to be able to stand when his body was still so weak. 

"Damian, how are Papa and Mama?" davira asked with tears that had washed her cheeks. 

Damian immediately hugged his lover's body tightly.

"Damian answer! Mom and Dad are okay, right?!" Davira sobbed while thrashing in Damian's arms. 

Damian's silence made him understand that that night he had really lost everything.

Davira shook his head quickly, he still felt disbelief at what was happening. In just one night, everything he had was forced away from him.

"This can't be Damian! I-this must be a dream!" his screams made the man even more tighten his embrace trying to calm down.

"Everything will be fine, Davira," whispered Damian with a hand that gently rubbed Davira's head.

"Those people just came, Damian. They were shooting all over, grandma was killed, too" Davira's body shook violently, her cries breaking out filling the hotel room Damian had provided for her.

"Say, who are those people? I found no one but Handoko's body while inspecting your mansion." 

Damian loosened his embrace and cupped Davira's face, he wiped the woman's tears with his thumb.

"I'm sure those people were Xie's family's men, those behind the attack," Davira squeezed the clothes she was wearing.

"Are you sure? Where'd you know that?" damian asked as he grabbed Davira's hand for her to hold.

"There was a mark on the neck of one of them, were their bodies not in the mansion at all? Because some of them we've managed to kill." 

"There is no body of anyone other than Handoko's family, Davira. And you're the only survivor of tonight's assault." 

Hearing that made Davira's heart ache even more, it means that his aunt, uncle and cousin were also killed by all of them. 

"That means the bodies of those people were already taken before you arrived" Davira muttered as she wiped her tears.

"When did you come to my mansion?" ask Davira curiously.

"About 6am I just got word that your mansion is on fire, Davira. I was so panicked and went straight to your mansion, it turned out that the entire Handoko family had been rushed to the hospital including you. I'm grateful you're safe, Davira." 

Damian's hand moved tidying Davira's hair that was currently disheveled.

"So my mansion was burned? Wait, how many days have I been unconscious?" 

"Two days, you're in surgery to get a bullet out of your right chest. Lucky it wasn't your heart that was shot." 

"Has the funeral been done?" 

"Not yet, the funeral will take place after you've regained consciousness and recovered. So right now your family's body is still in the hospital," Damian answered, making Davira want to get out of bed, but Damian immediately held the woman's shoulders.

"You're still recovering, Davira. We'll see your family's body and do the funeral, but not now" Damian brought Davira's body back into his arms, let the woman cry out and shed tears in her chest.

"I've got to get back at this, Damian. The Xie family has really gone too far! They're so daring to take out almost the entire Handoko family, I'm going to kill them!" shouts Davira filled with emotion.

"Calm down, Davira. For revenge, you must heal first. I promise I will help you, I can't take it if you and your family are hurt like this. They're gonna deal with Lee's family now."
