Part 50 - Operation Emma

Davira grimaced softly looking at the droplets of blood that kept coming out from the wound on his wrist, he got quite a long and deep wound because the knife of one of the robbers who attacked them managed to hit him. Luckily they and Jakob's money still managed to survive the robbers.

It's been a month since Davira worked with Jakob, doing every task given by the man. Having a team that always helps him, they're fun and it makes Davira's mind about Nathan a little sidetracked. Although not completely, somehow Davira still thinks about Nathan every night.

Davira doesn't understand why he constantly remembers the man, Davira desperately wants to forget Nathan. Remembering Nathan every night makes his chest always feel tight.

"It's me!" luca's voice rang out from outside his room, and Davira immediately got off the bed and opened the door for the man.

"What's wrong?" ask Davira as she steps her legs back to sit on the edge of her bed.

"What's wrong? You're hurt, miss. Not planning to treat it?" Luca is seen carrying a medicine box with him making Davira smile thinly.

"You want to treat my wounds?"

"You'll have trouble working if the wound isn't treated" Luca pulled the chair there and placed it near Davira's bed.

"Where is Jakob? I haven't seen him since we got back," Davira asked in confusion, usually Jakob would immediately welcome them whenever they completed the task, of course Jakob welcomed the money. But now the man was not seen at all.

"I don't know, Master didn't say anything to me. Maybe you can ask Liam, sir used to talk to him."

"Your hand" Luca's plea made Davira immediately extend his injured left hand to be treated by Luca.

"What are the robbers who hurt you?" ask Luca while cleaning the blood on Davira's hand.

"I kicked the pe*is and then I shot him in the head" Davira replied, making Luca laugh with satisfaction.

"That's very painful Miss," Luca shook his head.

"After this you have to join the others in the living room, they are all watching a movie. You don't want to relax?"

Davira shook his head slowly in response.

Luca let out a long sigh, "Don't dwell too much on your life, I know maybe you're tired of this life-threatening job. But it's been over a month since you joined, you should have enjoyed this job."

"I enjoy this job, I don't feel tired. Working with Jakob and being with you is fun" Davira said, holding back the pain in her hand.

"Then why are you always alone after doing work? What's troubling your mind? Do you miss your wealth, or someone?" luca asked then looked at Davira's face to see the woman's expression.

"I think you miss someone" Luca chuckled.

"What's your family? Or.....Mr Xie?" guess it made Davira roll lazy eyeballs.

"You've been talking a lot lately, Luca. Why do you always ask unimportant questions? I'm not missing anyone" elak Davira doesn't want anyone to know how she feels about Nathan.

Because it would be a shame if he loved a man who killed his family.

"You're not very good at lying, you can't be a cheater" Luca wrapped a bandage around Davira's injured wrist after giving her medicine to keep her from getting infected.

"Then from that I became a drug deliveryman, not a fraud" Davira seemed so proud.

"It's over, blend in with us. Perhaps the burden of your mind will be slightly reduced," Luca immediately moved from his seat after putting the equipment he had used to treat Davira's wounds back into place.

"Luca, thank you" Davira said, raising her bandaged hand.

Luca just nodded and walked out of Davira's room.

"Have you treated him?" asked Dex who was currently standing in front of the refrigerator, picking up a few bottles of beer for him as well as the others.

"The wound is quite deep and long, it should be sewn. But it's not possible, but I think it will heal quickly" Luca replied, then sat down next to Mario who was focused on watching a movie that aired on television.

"Where is the master, Liam?"

"I don't know, Jakob didn't say anything. Though I thought he wasn't going anywhere today" Liam took a deep sip of his cigarette.

"Fedrix what are you doing?" dex asked with a small laugh as he looked at Fedrix who was currently opening a large suitcase full of money.

"Certainly count the money for Mister," Fedrix replied casually.

Mario clucked, "No orders! That's illegal!" the thrill made Fedrix laugh.

"Are we not always doing illegal work?"

"I think you want to get a bonus as a reward for you for helping you count that much money" said Luca then vertical beer given by Dex.

"You always know my plan," Fedrix sat with a pile of money on the table, counting it very seriously making Liam shake his head at it.

"Not a bonus, but a bullet you'll get, Fedrix."

"Then you guys have to protect me."

"I still want to live, my money is a lot, it's a pity if I just leave it," Mario laughed heartily.

"Welcome my princess!" dex exclaimed as he stretched his hand out as he looked at Davira coming out from inside his room.

Davira chuckles then briefly hugs Dex's body before taking his beer.

"Can't have a beer, baby. You have to take your medicine after you eat" Mario immediately took a beer in Davira's hands.

"Is there a prohibition against drinking beer before taking medication?" Davira has a chest.

Suddenly Liam stood up and flicked his finger on Davira's forehead.

"Awww Thiago!"

"Are rich people like you stupid? Of course you can't drink that beer," Liam just passed by heading towards the kitchen.

Davira looked at him sharply, feeling annoyed with the man.

"Sit down," Luca patted the spot beside him.

Davira smiled broadly at Fedrix, "Sitting near Fedrix would be more fun."

He immediately sat next to the man with sparkling eyes, just as his hand wanted to take a pile of money, Fedrix had already patted the back of his hand.

"Don't mess up my count, miss. You better sit next to Luca, Mario, or Dex and enjoy the movie," Fedrix kicked Davira out of his lips.

"Seeing these money is more interesting than the movie" Davira said, but stood up and sat down next to Luca.

"Arghh when will Jakob come?! I want to ask for a bonus for buying some clothes and also make up," Davira leaned in lethargy as she watched the television screen.

"Bonnus? We're doing the same job Miss!"

"I'm a woman, I need a bonus for buying makeup, Mario. If you want a bonus then be a woman" Davira said, laughing at Mario's upset face.

"Eat," Liam put a plate of food on the table to get Davira to re-establish her body.

"Thank you" Davira smiled broadly as she took the plate.

"If you want to buy make up or something else you can use my money," said Liam made Dex who was vertical his beer immediately choked.

"Well, there's something here!"

"You never even gave me Liam's money! I always buy you a drink!" mario felt unacceptable.

Davira laughed, "I told you, you have to be a woman!"

"Liam, I have enough money. And I don't want your money, I want a bonus from Jakob" Davira said, then biting off the already cold chicken thighs.

"Who bought this chicken?" davira asked with a facial expression that showed that she did not like the chicken she was currently chewing.

"Me, what's up?" Dex looked at her in confusion.

"When did you buy it?" asked Luca glanced at the chicken on Davira's plate.

"Just yesterday," Dex replied casually.

"Not good! It's cold, isn't there a more decent meal here?"

Luca clucked and took the chicken that had been bitten by Davira then ate it.

"It's decent and not that bad, it's too much" said Luca, who was seen enjoying the chicken.

"Miss Handoko won't be able to eat that!"

Suddenly Jakob's voice made them all immediately look back.

"Fedrix, how many times do I have to tell you? Don't touch my fucking money!"

Nathan opens the door to the VIP room, where Emma is now being treated. He immediately went in and stepped his feet to see Emma's body sitting on her bed while reading a book.

Emma smiled broadly at Nathan's arrival, the woman immediately placed her book on the table and spread out her hands.

"How are you doing, Emma?" Nathan hugged the woman's body for a while.

"The operation was smooth," Emma replied making Nathan smile thinly along with his missed embrace.

Nathan puts the fruit basket he brought to the table and sits on Emma's bedside.

"After this you won't feel any more pain" Nathan was relieved to have gotten a kidney donor for Emma, and the operation went smoothly, it made the burden on Nathan's shoulders slightly less.

"It's all thanks to you" Emma was so happy, it's been two days she's been treated after surgery, and it's only today that Nathan's seen her.

"Where's your father?" nathan asked not to see where Arthur was.

"It's working, but he'll be here when it's done. Can you accompany me?"

Nathan nodded slowly, "I'm here indeed to accompany you."

The smile on Emma's face grew even more and more upon hearing that. It was this little attention from Nathan that made him feel happy, even though for a month since the departure of Davira Nathan was so busy because he continued to look for the whereabouts of the woman and made him not have time to meet with Nathan.

But at least Nathan still thinks about his kidneys and eventually finds a donor for him first rather than finding Davira.

"You want to eat fruit? I brought strawberries, you like them, don't you? I'll wash it first" Nathan stood up from his seat and picked up a box of strawberries he was carrying.

Drrtts.

Drrtts.

Nathan's phone suddenly shook making him reach out of his pants pocket immediately, seeing the name listed made him immediately shift the green button on the screen to connect.

"What's the matter Paul?" nathan asked making the smile on Emma's face fade away instantly.

Emma knew that every time Paul called, there would be something important. Whether it's about work, or Davira. For sure Nathan will leave her immediately, it makes Emma feel upset.

Nathan looked stunned then looked at Emma's face making the woman's heart palpitate.

"Nathan, did something happen?" emma asked curiously to see Nathan's face.

But Nathan did not answer him, the man turned around and stepped his feet slightly away.

"Are you sure Paul?"

The corner of Nathan's lips suddenly pulled to the side hearing Paul's reply.

"Finally, get my private jet ready. We're leaving right now, don't forget to bring a lot of bodyguards."
