A wide smile was seen on Davira's pretty face as the car she was riding in passed through the hustle and bustle of Moscow. It felt like he was again breathing fresh air after a few months of being a prisoner.
Caged in Nathan's golden cage, he could not move freely and always held back the tightness in his heart.
Davira was really tormented and could not imagine what would happen if she stayed with Nathan any longer. The man had already killed his future husband and slaughtered his entire family, his love for Nathan still losing with a grudge in his heart.
It was impossible for him to forgive Nathan so much less still choose to be by that man's side. Davira was convinced that both her parents would curse her if it happened.
So running away after knowing everything for sure was the most appropriate decision he had to make.
Now he just needs to move on as a Davira who no longer has anything. He will work for Jakob, following the orders of the man who saved his life.
"How's Davira? Love this town?" ask Jakob who is driving his red convertible.
Jakob gave a small smile looking at Davira's face from behind his sunglasses.
"The weather here is good, I also like the atmosphere. So when do I work?"
Jakob chuckles at Davira's question, in fact he didn't expect to actually do this.
Rescuing Davira from Nathan and his family, Davira becomes his subordinate. He never imagined it in his life. But when Davira suddenly called him and asked for help, without thinking he immediately agreed.
Jakob sees the talent and potential in Davira, women will certainly be subordinates that can be relied on. His dirty business needs an experienced person like Davira. Davira, however, is an heir who has learned a lot about business.
Unfortunately, Davira is now nothing. There was no more inheritance for him, he was just a fugitive of the Xie family, who if caught then he died.
"There's no rush, Davira. Enjoy your day in this city, after that you'll be very busy."
"It's been two days since we got here, I can't wait to do my first job. I want to know how you do business," Davira took off her glasses while staring at the lonely road they were now on.
"How's Nathan doing? Is he dead?" davira asked, making Jakob laugh.
"You want me to give you an answer, Davira?"
"The real answer, life or death, that's all you need to tell me," Davira rolled her lazy eyeballs.
"He's alive, and now you know what he's doing?" Jakob clucking.
"Jonathan is rummaging through the city of Rome to find your whereabouts, the entire Xie family is also in a fog because you just let go. Whereas they must avenge the death of Gayatri they believe was caused by you."
Davira smiled faintly, "I feel like I want to see their panicked faces."
Jakob shook his head, "I don't think you'll ever want to see their faces again, because if that happens, you're dead."
Davira just silently heard it, he knew about it. Davira knew that Nathan or his family would kill him for a second after seeing his face.
"They have people everywhere, the Xie family has a lot of eyes. Therefore you must do your work carefully later, lest our existence be known. I don't want to move town anymore."
Their car finally arrived at a building that looked so big and unkempt. The building is their headquarters, there is not only Davira or Jakob. But some of the men were also there to produce or pack goods ordered by clients.
Davira and Jakob got down simultaneously from their car and entered the building. Inside it was empty, people wouldn't know that the building was occupied if it didn't open a hidden door that was behind a closet.
Jakob immediately shifts the closet and then goes inside with Davira.
"Where are people?" davira asked not to see any of Jakob's men who were usually in the room to do their respective tasks.
"While preparing something so that it will make it easier for you when carrying goods," replied Jakob then sat in his chair while staring at the computer that was still on and the screen showed a row of names of people who ordered goods to him.
Davira only glanced at him while removing the leather jacket he was wearing, now he only wore a white zinclet shirt with necklaces X and D initials attached to his neck.
Davira's face looks so innocent without the slightest makeup, but it just makes it look more attractive.
Davira looks like a brave and sexy street girl, her face and eyes reveal a wild side to her.
"How do you avoid the police? I know you don't have any other business that can cover your dirty business, you're known as a drug dealer, Jakob."
"Easy, run. That's the way to get away from the police, I'm always on the move, I can't stay in one city for as long as you guys. Unlike you, the Handoko family, the leader of a company engaged in coal mining. Having a lot of resorts makes the abundant treasures and wealth that you display unsuspecting. You're good at covering it up, the police in your country have been silenced by your money."
Davira smiled, "We're smart, Jakob. We will not be known as drug dealers or leaders of human trafficking in our own countries. But do you know for yourself how our name is already known in someone else's country, Seville? There we are even dubbed as the inhabitants of hell."
Jakob immediately laughed at that, he immediately took his beer bottle and drank it.
"You're not very smart then, neither are you brave."
Davira frowned, Jakob said so casually.
"What do you mean?"
"There's no courage in people like you, having a dirty business but wanting to keep it looking business. Not wanting to be known as a criminal but committing many crimes, always wanting respect in your life. Not being yourself, you should be able to choose between the two. Dirty business or clean business? Criminals or good people?"
Davira crossed her chest, "Why can't she choose both?"
"Because you can't do both, there's no good villain, and vice versa. If anything is good, it is only for people who are also in the same world as us. Like me, with me helping you now. Am I a good man, Davira?" Jakob shook his head.
"I'm still a drug dealer, no matter what I do, I'm still a criminal. Because it's my choice."
Davira was stunned for a moment and then pulled the chair near Jakob and sat there.
"Have you chosen, Davira?"
Davira tapped his fingertips on the table, he chuckled a little.
"I never chose, there was never a chance. I've been a criminal since I was born."
