The prisoner of Mr. Xie

Part 03 - The Beginning

__Flashback On__

A beautiful woman who wears a black dress is stepping so confidently while carrying her branded bag and holding the arm of a handsome man who has been in a relationship with her for 1 year.

"Welcome, Mr. Lee, Miss Handoko. The show was just about to begin," the guard standing on the right side of the entrance now directly lowered his head in his respect to Davira as well as Damian.

Both of them just nodded then stepped into such a large and luxurious room. There were already 15 tables with numbers on them, all eyes now on Davira and Damian.

They both sit casually in the chairs that have been provided for them, on the table they occupy there is a number board that reads the number 2.

Somehow Davira felt one pair of eyes just keep looking at him fixed from the beginning he entered the room. The others did notice him, but the man who kept looking at him fixedly this time was a different man.

Her netra is now met by the man's dark brown netra, for the first time she comes face to face with the only son of a big enemy of her family.

Jonathan Xie, the sharp-eyed man had no intention of taking his eyes off despite being caught looking at him.

"He's the Xie family's only son, isn't he?" whispered Davira in Damian's ear to make sure.

Damian turned his head towards Nathan who occupied the table not too far away from them. Nathan is seen sitting with 3 people, one woman is sexy and the other is an old man.

"Yes, did you see it first?"

Davira nodded her head, "I've only ever seen the pictures."

Now look a beautiful woman with a brown dress under the knees began to go up on stage with a big smile.

Davira immediately took his eyes off Nathan and tried to focus on looking towards the stage as soon as the show would start.

The woman was heard making words of welcome for all the guests present, they were all from the upper class, famous for having abundant wealth. But all that wealth is certainly the result of dark business that has become a common secret among them.

There was a brief applause, everyone was seen watching them because the hostility of the Xie and Handoko families was no longer a secret. Now for the first time its heirs are in the same place.

Davira only smiled faintly, in contrast to Nathan who looked so cold without showing the slightest smile on his face.

"Without wasting much more time, we will start this auction event, first item please enter." 

One item in the form of a painting began to enter, the woman's MC began to say the price of the object. Some people who are interested in it start competing to mention the highest price in order to have it.

Davira just kept quiet because there was not a single item that made him feel interested. 

"The fourth item is a flower vase originating from China and has existed since the Qing Dynasty in the 18th century, this vase is certainly very rare," the woman began to explain about the details of the flower vase named Eighteen Qing Vases.

"The price of the offer starts at one 1 billion!"

Some people are heard saying the nominal money is fantastic for the flower vase, until Damian finally raised the number board. 

"12 Billion," said Damian, which made people instantly speechless. 

"Hows it? Does anyone else want to bid Eighteen Qing Vases?"

No one dared to say that Damian smiled faintly as the sound of a hammer knocking sounded.

"Eighteen Qing Vases were sold for 12 Billion by Mr Damian Lee!"

Davira just kept quiet and returned her lover's smile, she knew Damian was happy because he had gotten the item he wanted. 

Davira raised her Champagne glass and took a slow sip with the corner of her eye glancing towards Nathan.

"Damn, why was he staring at me?" Davira nodded, she began to feel uncomfortable. 

"Next," along with that a man co-operated in while pushing the table.

Above it was a dark blue velvet box that looked so luxurious, the lid was opened by the woman showing a pair of oval blue diamond earrings with fringes sprinkled with white gold. 

"It's named The Goddess Earrings, made of Wittelsbach diamonds," the woman explains in detail about the earrings that succeeded in making Davira feel interested.

"The bidding price for The Goddess Earrings starts at 50 Billion," the sound of a hammer knock was heard.

Seen table number 8 directly raised the height of the number board.

"70 Billion" said the woman, who seems to be old even though her face still looks tight, but age cannot lie. Davira could see the wrinkles on his neck as well as his hands.

"90 Billion" said number 4.

Davira cleared his throat briefly, "120 Billion."

"You want it?" damian whispered which he immediately nodded.

"130 Billion" said table number 8.

"170 Billion," Davira added unmitigated.

"Well it looks like The Goddess Earrings is being fought over by beautiful women!" exciting MC.

"200 Billion," the woman looks not to lose to Davira.

"300 Billion" Damian said, making Davira smile thinly. 

"Woww the price is very high, can anyone else offer it?" 

"350 Billion," suddenly Nathan raised his number board with eyes that continued to look at Davira fixed.

"Damn," said Damian slowly.

"400 Billion" Damian added.

"500," Nathan raised his number board again. The man looked so casual mentioning nominally that much.

Davira could see a very thin smile on the man's face as he sipped his champagne slowly. 

"520!" Damian again added to make the atmosphere feel tense, because everyone knows that the two are indeed hostile.

"600 Billion" Nathan said as he put back his champagne glass.

Everyone immediately fell silent as well as Damian, the man looked at Davira for a moment then intended to raise the number board back. But his hand was immediately held back by Davira making Damian turn his head.

Davira shook her head slowly with the look of her cold-looking eyes. 

"No need, Damian. Just leave him alone. Looks like Nathan really wanted to make us feel upset." 

"But you want those earrings, don't you?" 

"I want to but not have to spend that much, just let Nathan have his earrings," Davira clasped his lover's hand tightly without intending to look at Nathan's face which only made him feel annoyed. 

Davira finds out that Nathan deliberately bids at such a high price because Davira wants an earring called The Goddess Earrings. 

"Nobody else can add?" ask the MC then tap on his hammer after not getting an answer.

"The Goddess Earrings sold for 600 Billion! Very fantastic price, congratulations Mr. Xie, you get this very beautiful earring." 

After the event was over, Davira went to the toilet to check for thin makeup on her face. Damian goes to the car first and waits for him. 

Davira sprayed perfume with her favorite brand on her neck and also the clothes she was wearing, Davira sprayed the expensive perfume without hesitation. 

Suddenly the toilet door opened, leaving him shocked to see who opened it. Davira tries to control his facial expression as quickly as possible. 

"I think it's very clear up ahead that this is a women's toilet, Mr. Xie." 

Davira just stared at Nathan's face from the reflection of such a large mirror, she had no intention of turning around at all. 

Nathan stepped his foot closer making Davira feel anxious, the man was now standing right behind him with a fairly close distance.

With such a distance, Nathan could inhale the scent of Davira's hair. 

The scent that he liked so much, suddenly Nathan put a velvet box in front of Davira made the woman's eyes widen.

"It's good to see you tonight, Miss Handoko. It turns out you're prettier than I saw in the photo" Nathan whispered right in his ear.

"What do you mean put that earring box in front of me? Mocking me?" Davira felt so upset at this moment, hearing Nathan's praise just now made him unable to control his very obvious facial expression showing annoyance.

"Of course not, I know you really want those earrings. Seen from your sparkling eyes when I saw it, so I bought it for you."  

Davira screeched, "I can even afford it myself, so keep those earrings back." 

Davira immediately took his bag and turned around making the two now face each other. 

"I know you're capable, I just want to give you those earrings. As a reward because tonight we met for the first time," Nathan immediately stepped back then walked out of the toilet, leaving Davira with his bewildered face.

Davira immediately took the box and opened it, his jaw almost falling. He immediately shut his mouth seeing that the box actually contained the earrings he wanted.

"This is really a 600 Billion earring!" shouts Davira in heart. 

Davira shook her head quickly to come to a realization from her shock. As he becomes more and more confused, Nathan literally leaves the earring for granted and gives it to Davira. 

"Bas on a crazy man." 

__Flashback Off_

Davira rubbed a diamond on the earrings that she never wore when she left the house, she only tried it once, even when she was in a room like this.

Since their first meeting at the auction, Nathan seemed to continue to be around him. Davira was showered with many expensive gifts which he only kept tightly in his closet.

He doesn't want Damian to find out that Nathan has been chasing him ever since, at first Davira thinks that Nathan is just trying to play him and is plotting something to frame him.

But now it's been 3 years, and Nathan is still so persistent in his pursuit. During that time Nathan tries to take his heart, during which time Davira also fortifies him from the man.

Davira will never turn his back on Damian only for an enemy who for decades has been hostile to his family.
