The Perfect Happiness
S2 - Eps 37

Still Tika POVs.

"Bah, sorry only now that Tika can come here again," I said in front of Papah's tomb while sitting on my knees.

"When I miss Papah.. Tika kangen hugging Papah.. Tika pingin really can meet Papah, just a moment. Tika just want to hug Papah, just a moment not long.." I did not feel my tears dripping.

I looked at Papah's tombstone with tears. Jefri hugged me from the side.

"Ssttt, I've already said. I don't want to see you cry. My heart hurts when you cry. Huh huh?" persuade Jefri while tightening his embrace.

Slowly I tried to stop my crying. Jefri was still hugging me, stroking my hair. Occasionally in the peck of my head.

Long time in front of Papahku's tomb. It was silent that afternoon.

"We go to Mamah's house. I told Mamah I wanted to go there" I asked Jefri.

He let go of his embrace, lifted my chin with his fingers so that our eyes could collide.

"Promise not to cry anymore? If you miss and want to come here, you just tell me. If I can I'll come here, if I can't, I'll let you come here."

"Yes," I looked at him.

Jefri kissed my forehead, lama. Then she kissed my lips.

"Bah, we go home first. I promise I'll bring Tika here more often" she said suddenly in a loud voice, then she kissed me on the forehead again and stood up.

He stretched out his hand, helping me to stand up. Before standing, I put a bucket of white lilies mixed with Papah's favorite pink. I stroked his gravestone flashlight.

"When you go home, huh?" my words speak for themselves.

Then I stood up and grabbed Jefri's hand, smiling at me. Then we walked along the cemetery to get out to the car.

Papah's tomb is located very far from the city center, even arguably towards the remote countryside. But the cemetery complex is indeed designed with a modern funeral feel with a grass body that decorates each tomb.

"It's quiet?" ask him on his way out of the cemetery complex.

"Yes, thank you for letting me come here" I said with a smile looking at him.

Jefri returned a smile to me and then refocused on the steering wheel. I looked back at the view outside my window.

My mind floated, recalling my last days with Papah in the hospital. Whether it's just my feelings or indeed everyone realizes that I am Papah's favorite child. I used to fight with both of my Sisters, even almost to jotos when We were in our teens.

Papah had to willingly accept a raw bogem from Max when he wanted to protect me all of a sudden. I also used to fight over chairs at the dining table with Haikal. Just because of the strategic location of the chair, Papah yelled at Haikal and put away his dinner plate to replace with my dinner plate.

I laughed when I remembered that. All so funny, so innocent. But the more mature the three of us grew up, with Papah always defending me, it did not make both of my brothers became arrogant after the departure of Papah. They took care of me and Mom more closely.

"Why smile?" tegur Jefri broke my reverie.

I turned to him, "The past, the same time of fighting Max, the same Haikal. Funny, come to think of it, the problem is trivial."

"You must have been a child when his son was selfish. Crabby. Sniping. Really no?"

"Yahhhh look alike."

"lik! Must be that kayak. Why come?"

"Yes" I replied with a shy grin.

Jefri chuckled while occasionally looking at me.

It did not feel like half the journey had passed to Mamah's house. Jefri drove his car with a fairly fast speed. It only takes 30 minutes less to reach the distance between Papah's funeral and Mamah's house.

Jefri parked the car right in front of the garage yard. We got down and immediately entered the house. Seeking the existence of Mamah.

I haven't been able to scream. Mama who saw me appear when she was in the television room immediately greeted me.

"Hi baby? Tumben you're here late in the afternoon?"

I kissed Mamah's cheek, "Yes, Mah, miss."

Then accompanied by Jefri's hands to Mamah. I sat down next to Mamah.

"Jeff's father went to the hospital, Mah," I told him.

Mom was surprised and looked at me, "When?"

"Just this afternoon, Mah. Now it's not papa, it's stable and conscious as well" Jefri replied while sitting on a separate sofa.

"You're out of there?" Mom looked at us in turn.

Spontaneously Jefri replied, "Yes, Mah."

"It's gonna be there again, Mamah coming?" ask me while touching Mamah's arm so that Mamah's view turns to me.

"Yes, Mom, change clothes first. You guys waitin' on?"

I'm nodding. Mama immediately went to her room to get ready.

🎶

Hit it from the back and drive you wild

Girl, I lose myself up in those eyes

I just had to let you know you're mine

🎶

My phone's beeping.

I immediately opened my bag and took it.

Max calling's.

I frowned, "Hallo, why Max?"

"Where?" max's right across there.

"Mama's House. Why?"

"You don't papa, do you?"

"No papa. Why the hell?" i'm astonished.

"Jefri's in front of you?"

"Yes there. Whywhy?" my whine is getting upset.

"Ntar it! Jefri's call-back wasn't on your deck, was it?" her door.

My eyes glanced at Jefri who was looking at me, "Yes."

"Yes, it's bye!" max says and hangs up his phone.

Not long after, Mamah was by my side, standing in neat clothes and carrying her Hermes handbag.

"Hayok. Mama is ready."

I stood up immediately, and so did Jefri.

"Bciii ... Bibiii ...," exclaimed Mamah.

"Yes, Mom?" suhut Bibi who appeared from the kitchen.

"I used to walk with the kids, if anyone is looking for me here, tell me to connect to my phone," said Mamah.

"God, Mom."

"I live first?"

"God."

We immediately headed to Jefri's car and drove to the hospital where Papa Jefri was being treated.

All along the way, the three of us were silent. The atmosphere is not so quiet due to the music from the music player on the dashboard of the car. Jefri was focused on driving, while I was busy looking at the view outside the car window. And Mamah? I don't know what Mom did in the back.

"Have you eaten?" jefri asked breaking the silence.

"Udah, this afternoon Mamah had eaten with Bibi at home," said Mamah casually.

Jefri just nodded his head.

"Max was on your phone, Tik?" ask Mamah to me.

"There was. Why the hell is he, Mah? What the hell are you talking about?" manya curious.

"Mama doesn't know either. Try calling him again."

"Hm." I replied impolitely.

After a few minutes we finally arrived at the hospital. Jefri parked the car and we headed down to the ICCU.

In my brain still thinking, curious about Max. Not usually Max like that, even Max does not want to talk on the phone just because Jefri is near me.

What's wrong with Jefri?

What does Max want to tell you so hard to talk about, but only by phone?

My brain is starting to become a nest of ants.

Mumet!!
