The Perfect Happiness

The Perfect Happiness
S3 - Eps 155

Jefri POV's.

I had to go back to the office this afternoon. Leaving Tika and the others at my in-laws' house. I wanted this heart to stay there with my wife, but the schedule of this meeting I could not delay anymore. So that I want to not want, must and must follow this one activity.

It took me about twenty minutes to get back to my office. I rushed to the elevator in the basement of this building to head to the fourth floor, having previously managed to park my own car.

I entered the elevator with a troubled heart. The chaotic feeling from earlier continued to haunt my every breath. It felt like I had forgotten what it felt like to be happy, as a result of too many problems coming my way.

Ting!

The elevator door opened, I reached the fourth floor. I immediately stepped my foot into my office. Take some files for me to take to the meeting room. However, I have not yet cleaned up some files, suddenly my phone rang.

🎢

Can't we just talk?

Can't we just talk?

Talk about where we're goin'

Before we get lost

Let me out first

Can't get what we want without knowin'

I've never felt like this before

I apologize if I'm movin' too far

Can't we just talk?

Can't we just talk?

Figure out where we're growingin'

🎢

I reached into my pants pocket, took the thing and looked at the screen to find out whose name was on the phone. A number I don't recognize, but it feels familiar to me.

"Hallo?" my answer. No reply from across there. Silent.

I disconnected the phone, tried not to take a headache about the phone earlier. Then go back to checking some of the files I need later, at the meeting. However, again the thin object dubbed the smartphone sounded. Singing a western song that I deliberately chose.

I glanced at that thing, which I had placed on the table. It's still the same number that called me. I grabbed him back and took the phone call.

"Hallo's? Sorry I don't have much time, if it's important say it now. If not, don't bother me anymore. Terimβ€”"

A small sound of darkness was happening across the street. It made me suddenly stop my words. Then there was the sound of a woman's laughter. I was shocked to hear it. Once I kept the speaker end of the phone away from my ear, then I glued it back together.

I heard the voice of the woman who was still chuckling. Trying to recognize the sound of her laughter. But free, I can't recognize it. I didn't say a word anymore. I let him laugh until he finally said something that made me flabbergasted in disbelief.

"Where's the rabbit? Good, right? Haha." His laughter ended the phone call.

I took the phone out of my hand. Then I put it on the table. My feelings are getting less and less. Why did she say rabbit? Wasn't the incident at my in-laws' house also caused by some rabbit carcasses?

Tokk tokk!!

The sound of knocking on the door surprised me, made me turn my head and see one of my employees was already in the doorway. "Five minutes to go, sir."

I nodded my head. Then the male employee immediately stepped away from there. My heart pumps a little blood in my body at an irregular tempo. I let out my breath. Then he grabbed back the meeting preparation file and walked out of my room. Leave the phone on the table.

During the meeting, I really couldn't keep my mind focused. A few times I was pensive, then it was Mr. Hardi who woke me with his legs bent at my feet.

"Ah, yes. Where was the discussion?"

About two hours later, the meeting was finally over. I forced my brain to accept everything that had reported the results of the company's development, simultaneously in front of the other directors.

Then I went back to my room. I think this head wants to explode.

I took my breath, trying to calm my brain. Dropped my body on my soft work chair and stretched my waist muscles. After that, I just started again, checking the data on the work agreement letter on the projects that are currently running.

I didn't feel like I spent an hour reading it all. And when I glanced at the wall clock in my room to confirm the clockwise direction, my eyes seemed to give a flashback of what happened at home this afternoon.

About the gate of my in-laws' house, which has some dead rabbits. If seen by the eyes of the weed, the carcass must have been sent from those who hated us. But who? Is that Dana?

Yes, there is a possibility that doing this is indeed Dana, because she is still free to roam out there. And only he deserves to be accused in this case. But why is he this so hard? Is it really just obsession?

It is impossible that this is an obsession. Coupled with the voice of the female caller who also said similar things about rabbits. Yeah, call the lady. Holy hooch! I almost forgot about that! Then who was that woman? Why call?

I exhaled slowly and decided to go home immediately. I'm sure, after this I will definitely fight with Tika again. Because he's becoming more sensitive now.

Cringe crank!

The intercom phone on my desk rang, I picked it up. It is from the financial part of the company. They said if some time ago, Mr. Hardi came to them and asked for the disbursement of some funds.

"Yes already. You just run your errands." I kept trying to control my voice to stay calm.

As soon as the phone connection was cut off, I thought for a moment. Then as fast as lightning I grabbed my phone, pressed Nadine's number and called her to ask for her explanation.

While waiting for my phone connection to connect, I tapped the tip of my finger on the table in turn, my brain again I forced to think hard. How can Nadine make Pak Hardi so fast to make a withdrawal? New time to know they've done skidipapap?

"Callo, Nadine? Where are you?" As soon as my phone call was connected, I immediately scolded the woman with various questions until Nadine finally gave up and told her where she was at the moment.

I didn't ask her to explain over the phone, but I instead intended to go to her. I want to talk to him face to face, four eyes.

β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”

Max POV's.

I'm done making phone calls with Reza. Maybe about an hour or so the phone lasted, I don't know, I wasn't paying much attention. I told him back what happened at Mamah's house this afternoon. A lot of advice from him that I got to deal with all that.

Then I moved my legs back to the seat where Igo was sitting. "Where was Tika?" ask her.

"Go back to his room" he said.

We forgot about the rabbit. Then I and Igo went back to talking about the company and some ongoing projects. Until it did not feel the sky changed and changed color. The cold wind came back to us. One more day we all passed. And I don't know what else we're going to have tomorrow.

Exactly at six in the afternoon, it's all over. I invited Igo to come to dinner together here. But as soon as we were about to start dinner, my phone rang.

🎢

My location unknown tryna find a way back home to you again

I gota get back to you gota get back to you

My location unknown tryna find a way back home to you again

I gota get back to you gota get back to you

🎢

Immediately I checked the name of who appeared on his screen and only the numbers appeared. I scrunched my eyebrows, astonished. Just this time an unknown number called me. But it's my habit not to take calls from numbers I don't recognize, so I'm ignoring those calls. I pressed the silent button while the call lasted. Then I left the phone in the room. Not to interrupt during dinner.

Everyone gather for dinner together tonight. So even with Haikal who had not returned to his hospital since noon.

β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”

Tika POVs.

I sat on the couch in one corner of my room. With a Sherlock Holmes book I'm almost done reading. After many times the reading event I was interrupted. This time I decided to finish it.

My two children fell asleep after I gave them breast milk. My husband is cleaning his body in the bathroom. Yeah, he came to coincide at dinner. He did not have time to clean his body first.

I took a breath and started reading this book in my hand. Words and sentences are strung together into a clause that can hypnotize me. For a moment I drifted into the story presented in this book, forgetting some strange events that happened in my real life.

A few minutes had passed, the rest of one last sheet of my reading, when Jefri's phone suddenly rang.

I looked for the source of the ringtone, because Jefri didn't put it where he used to charge his phone. I left my Holmes again and immediately stood up to look for Jefri's cell phone.

The ringtone is not too loud but if left constantly, I am afraid that the twins will wake up from their sleep. I've been to and fro looking for that damned thing, but it still reads. Holy hooch!

"Why, Honey?" jefri's reprimand that made me renegade was suffocated in shock.

I looked at her who was standing in the bathroom doorway. Complete with a circular towel on his waist and another towel that he wears to rub the hair on his head.

"Hape where are you anyway? It was a mellow sound," I said slowly along with the cessation of the ringtone from his phone.

"Oh!! Sorry." which." Jefri immediately stepped onto the single sofa I was sitting on. Took his coat that was stuck there and reached into the inner pocket of the suit.

The walla!! He got his phone from inside. Which means since then it's very close to my ear. Goddamnit! I cursed myself for my insensitivity.

"Who the hell called you this night?" my sewot as I passed sat on the sofa and grabbed the detective book I had released.

I was surprised by him. Unlike usual he put his cell phone in his suit when he got home. Then even more strangely, after looking at the screen of his phone, the look of his face looks a little surprised and then returns as usual. He also did not answer my question, instead turned around and stepped into the closet room. Weird ...

After I finished reading the Sherlock Holmes novel, I felt relieved. But my thoughts about my husband's strangeness still filled the space in my brain.

Then suddenly his phone again rang, he who was still in the closet room now immediately out to reach his phone. Which he put on the television buffet. And again I saw his strange movements. He did not receive the phone call but pressed silent mode on his phone.

"Who the hell? How did he not pick up his phone?" I suspect him more and more.

"I don't know whose phone it is from. I never kept this number." He's defending himself.

I just stared at him while taking a deep breath. Then I moved from my seat to my bed. Maybe I should go to bed soon so that my mind does not become more suspicious of my own husband.

Connect ...
