Clara POVs.

Today is the last day I can freely wander here and there, ahead of my wedding day which the remaining three days will be in the title. Before dad locked me in the house to do some rituals that I don't know what they are. It's like the queen of the south coast just has to do the ritual. "Basic dad!” I muttered as I chuckled slowly entering the room.

In exactly two hours Haikal would pick us up, pick me up and dad up to go to the Raffles Hotel together. We will see the beginning of the decoration and also meet with the wedding organizers.

Now the time has shown at nine in the morning where Haikal should have come to pick up. I checked my phone a few times and sent her a message, but still no reply. Until I finally tried to call him.

“Sabar, Clara. Who knows if he's on the road and driving, can't take a call?” protesting dad to me.

From then on I was like panicking myself and a bit of a crutch. My feet were unceasingly moving knocking on the floor, similar to the person who was moving his feet on a sewing machine or cloth obras machine.

“He's never late for time, Dad. And it's been over from five minutes.” I'm getting emotional.

“Gosh ... since when is the father's child so calculations like this?”

I thawed and twisted both balls of my eyes, panted. Then stand up to the kitchen to get a glass of water. It felt too dry this mouth was waiting for his presence.

Just as I swallowed a few sips of water from inside my glass, the front door of the house had already been knocked by someone. I quickly drank all the water in the glass to the toilet and choked. Intended to open the door, but it turns out father was more nimble to open it first.

Haikal smiled at the doorway and then showed me a red rose that was now his usual morning meeting. I wanted to sulk so I broke the intention. Moreover, her sweet smile was more and more day, further undermining my faith. Makes this chest churn incoherently.

“Tuh 'right, what did dad say? He must have been on the road again. You are the one who is impatient. I've been like a beard fire.” Dad brushed me.

I moved my lips and then said, “That's why he has no news. 'Can worry!” kelitku.

Dad clucked while Haikal just smiled because he always defended him. Then my father immediately took me away because the time had shown nine o'clock more than eight minutes, which we promised would be there no more than half an hour ten.

I immediately ran upstairs to put this rose on a large vase I bought earlier. The contents of the vase were all roses that Haikal had given me, from the very beginning he had given me flowers. Yes, not since a few weeks ago but since the beginning we have been in a relationship.

The stem of the rose that began to rot was still left there. Weirdo? Yes, I am strange. And I like that. I like to think back to the first time we met. Lie down and look at the vase and imagine her smile. Sometimes I also fall asleep if his face is always present in my memory. Full of him and only him.

It takes about twenty-five minutes to get to Hotel Raffles in Kuningan. In the morning like this there are indeed some roads that are jammed crowded, so Haikal must immediately find a rat road.

As soon as I finished parking the car, I saw my mother-in-law and brother-in-law and his wife standing in front of the hotel entrance. I greeted them politely, accompanied by the father who also greeted them. Then together we went into the ballroom, where our wedding was held.

The room was so spacious, maybe as large as a football field with some pieces of fabric that had adorned the walls. The combination of white and some pastel colors that approach white is neatly installed.

Tables and chairs are also very luxurious and elegant. I shed tears looking at some of the decorations. It has not been completed and impressed only 20% but everything has been able to make me so happy. It feels like a dream that my wedding day will be this grand.

Shilla continued to accompany me, accompanying me down one by one the corner of the room. While the others were busy meeting with the shortlisted and also the weeding organizers. Currently some of the shortlisted people are arranging the stage where we stand to receive guests. But maybe only a few hours, because the rest we will hold as relaxed as possible.

“You like?” Haikal's voice suddenly surprised me. I can only nod so excitedly.

Then I saw a worker pushing a train and pulled out some glass to decorate the table. “Shouldn't use glass, I'm afraid it broke and we'll compensate with all that,” I whispered quietly to Haikal.

“Haikal has not spent a long time saving, so just enjoy,” whisper someone who turns out to be Max.

I was surprised so I chuckled at the reason. Then Max also said if some of it was my mother-in-law's request because our family business partner would also be present as a guest. And myfather? He also supported everyone, although at first my father was surprised that Haikal chose this ballroom as our venue.

On the one hand I feel all this is too fancy and will it all be worth our married life later?

But here another, I also cannot lie to the heart, if I also want a wedding feast that is like a royal princess. And Haikal granted me that dream.

After a few hours we were all there to check and prepare everything, we decided to switch to lunch at one of the restaurants around the area.

However, how surprised I was when I saw a woman I knew and had met me before in one of the malls, when I was with Tika.

“Jovanka?! Hi!!” I almost ran into him.

The look on his face was surprised to see me when he was holding an alley man probably almost the same age as my father. But I still remember his father's face and this one, it doesn't seem to be his. After all according to the news I heard from the other friends, aren't both of his parents dead?

“Ha—hai, Clara!” he said as he approached and released his hand on the old man.

The man looked like he was avoiding something because he lowered his face occasionally and also covered his face, then immediately left Jovanka after saying to her if she would wait in the car.

Then a while later, Haikal stood beside me. “Ah, Jovanka .. introduce, this is Haikal, my future husband. Yes, this is an invitation for you. Fortunately I always carry some more in the bag, my cerocos” which is also confused to see Jovanka staring at Haikal so intensely.

“You know each other?” I stared at them in turn.

“Since from there I have seen and did not expect if you guys are friends. And I thought that earlier he would not greet me because I am his superior,” Haikal explained.

“Atasan?” my peek.

“Yes, he's an employee at the hospital. And I've given our invitation to all the employees there.”

“Sorry, I did get the invitation, but I didn't know if it turns out that you are the one who will be the wife of dr. Haikal. Again I'm sorry. And thank you for this invitation. I'm in a hurry, sorry. Excuse me, Doc!” Jovanka lowered her face politely as a sign of goodbye. Then a little run out of the hotel lobby.

I was confused to see his behavior, was the man really his sugar daddy like what the children told him a few days ago?

“Kal, who was that?” max's reprimand that appears suddenly. “Similar to former assistant bokapnya Jefri deh!”

“Times anyway, Max?”

“Why?” I asked who had heard their conversation earlier.

Then Haikal said it was okay and told me to forget the conversation I heard earlier. After that we all headed to our cars and got out of the area. Go to a restaurant for lunch together.

**

As soon as I entered a private room in the restaurant, how shocked I was, as soon as I saw all my office friends were there. Even my childhood friends are there. Not to forget Tika and her husband, her children also attended this afternoon. Truly a priceless happiness for me.

Freely my tears came back soaking up both cheeks. I don't know who is planning this Bridal Shower event, which obviously was never on my agenda before the wedding day.

I could only hug my father so happily. After a few weeks ago I cried with all my might for losing my mother. And today, that cry seemed to be replaced by God with a sense of happiness that I had never felt before.

Again I feel grateful for all that has happened to my life for twenty-nine years. “If you were there, I might be able to thank you for being born from her womb. Loved and spoiled by you until I am this big,” I said staggered as I hugged my father, with my sobs now accompanying me.

This is not a cry of sorrow or regret. But this is the only cry of happiness and gratitude because God has left me to a father and mother who are so extraordinary to me.

Then I met a guy at the right time. And his family who accepted me as I was regardless of my family background strata. Even when I was in a relationship with him, dreaming of building a household and living with him, I did not dare.

Not to mention my heart is always hesitating and hesitating to convince the choice. Until that day comes, God seems to leave this heart to hold the promise of the man who will marry me. To believe in His power.

“Already!! This is how it was crying?!” protesting father while rubbing my back. Then he let go of our arms and wiped away my tears.

Everyone in this room was like pecking, some were crying and staring at me and my dad.

“Enjoy your remaining single days a few more days. After that, be a wife who obeys all the words and commands of your husband. Because he is entitled to what is in your soul and body. I'm sure you two can be your best husband and wife.”

I accepted dad's advice. Then the noise came back, Shilla pulled me from my father's side to join the middle of the decor and they all started dressing me up as they pleased. Like the ritual of a woman who will release her female period.

Then from a distance, I saw a sweet smile on my future husband's face. The one that stays a few more days will be the sun in each morning and will be the moon in each night.

Become a warmer as well as a cooler. Become a protector and advisor. Be everything to life and be the prayer in every breath I exhale.
