The Master Of Elements
ME 79 Request Matthew

“Akus swore, will not shop together with women after this,” said Josh who was when after they bought the item desired by Clarissa.

“You're right, Josh. I don't want to be in that store anymore. Did you just see the women's gazes as we waited outside? Some of the old women who were there looked at us with hungry gazes,” Draven added.

“But how do you understand what Clarissa means, Matt? Do you have a boyfriend now?” ask Josh suddenly.

“Eh ... what?” matthew was surprised. He did not expect Josh to suddenly ask him this. So Josh said Matthew had a girlfriend?

“What are you talking about, Josh? I have no boyfriend at all. I'm still very young. I still want to focus on studying at Andradius.” Academy

“If you don't have a girlfriend, how can you understand what Clarissa needs?” ask Josh again.

“You know, um ... that .. ah yes my mother is a woman. He buys something like this every month. I know this from there.”

Matthew breathed a little relieved to find the right reason. Of course he did not know what Elisha was wearing during the month. Elisha himself had not told Matthew that. In fact, Ellie still did not have any knowledge on this matter. This meant, Matthew would later have to explain this to his sister.

All that knowledge Matthew got as a resident of the Earth who received twelve years of education. If he had lived in this world without any memory of his past, Matthew would not have understood what Clarissa was looking for.

“Ah like that apparently,” said Josh.

Not long after, Matthew's entourage noticed a commotion on the road ahead. Many students of Andradius Academy were standing there. I don't know what made them do this.

The curious Draven, instantly stopped one of the blue-robed disciples. Feeling someone pulling his robe, the disciple put on his ferocious face. He intended to scold whoever had danced his robe.

However, when he saw Draven doing this, his countenance immediately changed. He immediately put on the face as soft as possible. The disciple thanked in his heart for not cursing when his robe was pulled. If he curses, he will get into trouble.

“Hey, what's up? Why is everyone gathered there?” ask Draven.

“Senior Draven, they are now letting go of the students who were previously made slaves by the Johanson Family. Many of them chose to betray the Johanson Family. As a result, they lose the elements they have.”

“Now they will go back to their hometowns. Though, the academy already offered them another job, but they refused,” explained the student.

“As it seems. All right you can go.”

Matthew and the others could clearly hear what Draven and the student were talking about. So, when the student left, Matthew and the others looked at each other.

“So, do you guys want to see what's going on there? I was curious and wanted to see what was going on,” Matthew said.

“Good. We can stop by to see it. After all, we are not in a hurry to. We'll ride Purve to return.”

The six of them then walked closer to the crowd. The whispers of the gathered disciples sounded increasingly clear now.

“Please once he. Before this, he was considered a genius. Now, he looks like a loser,” said one of the students who had no intention to slow down his voice. What he said was clearly heard by the other students.

“Hush …. Keep that voice down. You shouldn't have said that. Even if you want to say something like that, you should have lowered your voice so as not to be heard by others,” whispered one of his friends.

“For what do I shrink my voice? That's proof, isn't it? They used to be genius disciples, now they were just losers. There is nothing wrong with my words. Then, if they don't like my words, they can't do anything to me. Now, they are just ordinary people.”

Matthew frowned hearing this disciple's words. He deeply disliked how this disciple talked about those who lost their strength, as if they were useless people.

Matthew could see some disciples who had lost their strength, only being able to look at the person who insulted them with a gaze full of anger. But there's nothing they can do now. These disciples, or perhaps more slaughtered these former disciples of Andradius Academy, were already commoners by now.

Matthew pulls Josh's sleeve. He also placed his index finger on his lips, asking Josh not to make much noise.

Josh frowned, confused by what Matthew wanted. But, when Matthew invites him secretly away from the crowd and enters an alley, Josh complies.

“What's up, Matt? Why did you bring me here secretly like this?” josh asked after they were in the alley.

“Josh can you create a barrier so that our conversation does not sound like someone else?” pinta Matthew's.

“Barier? Why make a barrier. Anyway, I can't make a barrier. Only those with strength at the Gold level and above could create a barrier. Then, only certain people who study diagrams can create a barrier.”

Josh felt weird. What Matthew wanted to talk to him about so he needed a barrier. Only serious and confidential talks will require a protective barrier.

Matthew was stunned to hear Josh's words. The interaction Matthew had with John got him used to asking for protective barriers to cover up their conversation. Not everyone can create a barrier.

“I'm sorry, Josh. I forgot about that. Come closer I want to talk to you about something. What I'm talking about is pretty secret. I hope no one knows about my request to you.”

“What do you want?” josh asked as he leaned closer to Matthew.

“Can you gather those who already have no power? I mean, those who were victims of the Johanson Family. Can you collect them?” whispered Matthew.

“Gathering them? For what?” ask Josh wonder.

Josh reckon, Matthew has absolutely no connection with the students who are victims of the Johanson Family. So, why would Matthew suddenly ask him to gather them?

“I want to help them. They look so pitying. So, can you gather them? But don't tell me I asked for it,” pinta Matthew.

“Help them?”

Now Josh is more and more astonished by Matthew's request. What would Matthew do to help them? Give them money? That would offend them. Josh believes that even though the students come from simple families, now they are not short of money.

Being someone who is involved in the professional world does require a lot of money. But they could also make a lot of money by hunting monsters and taking out their monster cores. All they need is their power back. There's no way Matthew can restore their strength, right? So, what would Matthew do to help them?

“Yes I have a way to help them. Before they all left Archdale City, I asked you to call them and have them gather somewhere. You can set your own place. Tell them there's someone who can give them a second chance,” Matthew explained.

“Matthew, You're not messing around, are you? What you say will give great hope to those students. If you can't do it, then it will make them even more disappointed.”

“They have been victims, don't make them more disappointed. Better, you stop this nonsense,”, Josh said in a serious tone.

“I dare to swear by all the elements I have, that I really want to help them. I have no intention of playing them. So, can you help me collect them?”

Josh is shocked to hear Matthew swear by the element he has. A vow to use elements is not a playful oath. Those who swear by their element are talking quite seriously.

This made Josh curious about what Matthew would do to help the students. The stakes are the element he has.

“Alright I'll help you collect them. I'll ask them to return to the academy. You can meet them at the academy. But, I cannot promise that I can take them all to the academy,” explained Josh.

“No problem. Bring as many people as you can who will listen to you. I wouldn't blame you if it came to just one person.
