“So, if later we feel a little difficulty collecting elements, all we need to do is as much as possible reduce the ability to use elements?”
“Ya.” John answered.
“Then is someone who has already lost his soul energy but he is actually still able to gather soul energy, is that person able to re-use the element?” Ask Matthew.
“It will be very difficult. If the soul energy within a person was already completely dried up, then it would be difficult to gather that energy back. Although you can collect that energy, not necessarily that person can store it and use it later.” Obviously Tom.
“It will be very dangerous not if you who do not have energy reserves start the fight. You are the same as suicide. Because it's possible that you could withstand one or two attacks. But what about the next attack? There is no guarantee you can escape danger.” Imbuh John's.
So it's like that. Matthew still remembers his pawnshop about the element users in this world. He supposes that the human body is a cell phone, and that the element is a signal.
A phone that was fine could be damaged and can not capture the signal, right? So in this world there must be such a possibility.
But is it also absolute? Broken phones that can't pick up on the signal can usually still be repaired. What about someone who has lost the element. Is it absolutely incurable?
“What is it not curable? I mean is there nothing we can do to help someone who has already lost his element?” ask Matthew.
“Until now there is no. The alternative they can do is to smother the other elements. However, not everyone can have many elements. If from birth they are destined to have only one element, then if they lose that element then the person really cannot be helped. He will return to being a regular person.” Obviously John.
Matthew doesn't trust John one hundred percent. There may be another way. Maybe that way actually exists, just that no one has found it yet. Isn't the way Matthew and his two sisters have elements very different from the people in this world right?
So it could be that the way to heal someone who lost that element is still there. It's just that no one has found it yet.
“So Matthew, I don't want you to be rash in using elements. I know by now you can use that element to attack. I'm asking you not to be too arrogant in that regard.”
“If you take a wrong step, then you will destroy your future. From now on, before you get a more in-depth education, do not try to use the element again.”
John's stern warning sent cold sweat running down Matthew's back. He did not expect John to know that he could already use the elements. He lied about the bandits that were killed.
Matthew did not want John to know that he could use the elements, while he did not have runes. It will make them even more different from the rest. It can also attract the curiosity of others to know what secrets they have.
Before Matthew could answer John's words, Toms had already saved him from this nervousness.
“We're here.” Tom said when they were at the end of the hall.
Seen some of the hallway is in the cave. Matthew didn't see the sunlight there. Perhaps they were currently in the deepest part of the cave. One of those hallways will get them out of here.
Although there is no sunlight, but the caves are illuminated by Crystals that hang in the sky of the cave. The existence of these crystals beautifies this cave. It was like looking at the night sky
full star.
But that beauty could no longer be enjoyed when a loud enough voice sounded. It was like the sound of a bird. But the sound was quite loud. Although there was a sound that echoed, but Matthew could estimate that the owner of the sound had a large body. Monsters. That was Matthew's first thought when he heard the voice.
Matthew heard a fairly heavy and fast footsteps, a sign that the owner of the footsteps was large and was now running closer to them. Hearing those footsteps getting closer Matthew became a little anxious.
He did not want to come out the lion's mouth even into the crocodile's mouth. He had just felt that they were free from danger, but now there was another danger coming. Matthew didn't want it until it actually happened.
“Do you guys hear that? What is that sound? What is monster?” ask Matthew.
Tom, who turned his back to Matthew, turned his body and looked at him. An evil grin was seen adorning the man's lips.
“Yes it's monsters. That's the monster I prepared for you and your brother. You think I'll take you guys away from Suiria City? Don't dream. I have absolutely no intention to help you.”
“Then do you think John is that easy to be your bodyguard? Heh.” Tom grunted softly.
“He was a head of the academy of the best Academy in the Andradius Continent. You think he'll be that lazy so he can get you here? That's not possible. We've planned all this. We have a grudge against your grandfather. I think by avenging this through you will give considerable pain to the old man.”
“John brought you here to make you my pet monster food. After that, I'll separate a few parts of your body and then I'll bring them to your Grandpa. I want to hear the sadness of the man's mouth.” Said Tom who was still grinning.
Hearing all of that all of a sudden cold sweat ran down Matthew's back. He who was previously nervous, is now getting nervous again. It was hard for him to believe Tom's words. But what Tom said could have been true.
Why did John suddenly change his plans? John may not have changed his plan. But the man just ran all his plans. Then all of this was part of John's plan.
“That couldn't have happened. Grandpa John is not like that. You're not gonna hurt us, are you Grandpa John?” ellie asked with a slightly trembling voice.
Ellie herself couldn't believe Tom's words either. Why is that guy talking like that? During this trip, John was always kind to them. So, it was quite difficult for Ellie to accept all of this when she learned that John had malicious intentions towards them.
Jasper didn't talk much but the boy now looked at Johns sharply. If John had evil intentions for them, Jasper would have done all he could to protect his brother.
