John squinted his eyes at Matthew. He no longer wants to be stuck following a bet that will definitely lose. Didn't the father of this child do the same? Take a bet where he is sure to lose. John doesn't want to be trapped anymore.

Not because he didn't want to lose the bet. Nope. But, if you know you have a very, very small chance of winning, why follow the bet. Whether he goes or not, he has no great influence.

But Matthew's words sparked his curiosity. How could the boy be so confident. If betting with Albert, John can understand it because Albert already knows in advance about the elements owned by his children. But what about Matthew?

Of the many books John had read, he never knew that one could awaken their element before the age of ten. Ten years old is an exception.

Most children awaken their element at the age of eleven to fourteen. So how do these kids do it?

Three days ago John ruled that out. He was still focused on observing the enemies. He did not want to break his concentration. Now he has a chance to ask about it.

“Rather than me betting on that self-altering potion recipe, what if I traded it for a secret about how you guys could quickly have so many elements. I'm not sure your parents know about this, am I?” ask John.

Matthew was speechless, the offer from John was quite tempting indeed. But Matthew did not agree. Although the secret of how to have many elements was not very valuable to Matthew, it was very valuable to others. Matthew thinks if he agrees, then he will be harmed in this transaction.

“I think the offer cost me Grandpa John.” Matthew said after a long silence.

“Then, what do you want?”

“I can tell you how we can have many elements. But other than the potion recipe, you have to teach me how to make it until I can. Moreover, you must convince the elders in the academy so that we can officially become students of Andradius Academy.” Fresh Matthew.
