Tyson spread his wings. The monster flapped its wings a few times before jumping off. At first the monster flew slowly.

But after the air element that the monster possessed wrapped the five people sitting on its back, it immediately shot out quickly.

The air element wraps around the five passengers like a protective glass that protects them from air friction.

Matthew noticed all that. With Tyson's element protecting them, they would no longer be blown away by the wind until they fell, would they?

“Grandfather John, does someone who wants to make monsters their comrades in the fight have to have the element of life? I mean, can those without the element of life not make monsters their comrades in battle?” ask Matthew.

“Of course you can. You can do it if you raise that monster from a baby. But it's very difficult. You must bring yourself closer to the newborn monster. Then, you should be the first one that that baby monster sees. It was really hard.” Said John.

Jasper thought if he could not have the element of life, he would use another way to have a pet monster. Can't someone tame some monsters?

Maybe he could do this to have his own monster. Why bother using such a troublesome way if something is simple, right?

Tom shook his head slowly. “Of course you can do it. But it will only be your pet. They cannot be used as fighting partners.”

“What's the difference? Isn't it the same?” ask Ellie who doesn't understand Tom's explanation.

Isn't it the same? After all, in the end they both make monsters more obedient to them, right? What's wrong with taming? What makes Tom say is very different.

“If the animals that are big enough are domesticated, they can help you. They will obey some of your words, if indeed the monster trusts you. But such a tamed monster would never be able to become a comrade in combat.” Answer John.

“If they met an enemy that was much stronger than them, those monsters would prefer to go on the run. Maybe they won't run away but they will stay in place without being able to

do anything.”

“According to them you are just someone who feeds them, you hire them with food as payment. They can still find their own food. So they don't depend too much on you guys.”

“This is very different from the monster that when born in this world, the first person he saw was you. They will consider you as their family. They want to sacrifice their lives for their families. So it's obviously very different.” Obviously John.

Matthew is starting to understand it now. The difference is very far away. An employee is not necessarily willing to do anything to help his boss who is experiencing difficulties. But a family will do whatever it takes to help its struggling family.

“So is there no other way than that? Do we have to have the element of life in order to have a monster as a partner in the fight?” ask Ellie.

Tom then slightly turned his head back. A wicked grin began to adorn the man's lips. Now a little bit Matthew already knows the personality of that person.

Tom likes money. If he had grinned like that, it was a sign that he would say something that made others spend their money and buy whatever he sold. That's all John said.

Matthew was confused. If Tom has such an ability, why is his pawn house so quiet. Matthew just remembered one thing, the location and condition of Tom's pawn house. It was clear the place was empty of visitors. It's just in a shanty place like that. Not to mention his messy condition.
