Matthew spread his gaze around him. He observes the magnitude of the ball of elements that are around a person. From the magnitude of the ball of the element, Matthew can estimate the level of strength of a person.

Although Matthew could not yet categorize one's strength from their element ball with certainty, but Matthew could understand who had high strength and who did not.

With that ability, Matthew could choose to observe the fight he wanted. He wanted to start by observing the fight of someone who had not very high strength.

After a while of searching, Matthew got what he wanted. Far in front of the caravan was a fight between the caravan guards and the bandits. The elements that were around them were slightly larger in size compared to those owned by Matthew.

‘Perhaps what appears on their bodies are the runes that Father and Mother often explain.’ Matthew murmured in his heart.

As Matthew recalled, in the body of the caravan guard, Matthew did not see the rune. Most likely, those runes appeared because that person wanted to use his element to fight. Matthew then focused his gaze towards the runes.

Matthew could see that the runes were pulling elements around the body of the caravan guards. Not long after, the runes compressed and condensed the elements that were successfully absorbed. Then, the processed elements are flowed into the weapon of the guard.

In each slash of the sword the caravan guards came out an attack in the form of a sword made of wind element, in accordance with the element it possessed. It was also not much different from what the bandits were fighting against. Every slash of the sword from the bandit, a snake made of fire element came out from his sword.

From here a little bit Matthew knows how one uses elements to fight. They need to process existing elements by compressing them and then compacting them. This is an element that someone can use.

Matthew guessed, the use of the runes is to help compress and condense existing elements. But why did he not see such runes appearing on Elisha's body when his mother used the element of light to heal.

Is there a difference between a Knight and a Mage in using their elements? Matthew himself did not know. What Matthew understood at this moment was that he was gaining new knowledge.

After all these things were resolved, he could ask John all of this. As long as John was with them, they should have made use of the man's knowledge. Maybe he could get some runes from John so that he and his two younger siblings could use the elements they had.

Now Matthew did not need runes to use the elements, but he still needed. If they had no runes at all, then they would attract the attention of people around. Why could they use elements without runes?

When compared to seeing someone burned to dust, seeing people split into two because the sabetage of weapons is indeed more flaring. No wonder his two sisters became like this.

“Me-they're dead Matt. Everything.” Said Ellie stammeringly.

“I know, I know El. You need to calm down and face this reality El. The world is not as beautiful as you think. The village here is not as beautiful as the book that Mom bought. It's all about life and death.” Mathew said slowly.

“But don't make this your reason for being afraid and not wanting to do anything. Instead use this to become your encouragement to become stronger again. That way, other people will not have a chance to hurt you.”

When Matthew said so, suddenly one of the bandits attacked them. This frightened Jasper and drew closer to Matthew and Ellie. But the bandit's attack did not hit them.

Barier who previously John made now has shown its function. The barier withstood the attack from the bandits. This made the bandit's eyes sparkle. He thought that on this train there was something precious. If not, why would there be a barrier protecting this train?

The bandits launched a series of attacks. But there is no change whatsoever. The barrier remains strong to protect. Despite the barrier protecting them, Jasper was still frightened by the attack.

“Matt, can you do something to get rid of these bandits?” Ask Jasper.

“Awhile I'll try it.” Answer Matthew.

The bandits who were now attacking them had a strength that was not very high. The elements surrounding the bandits were not much different from Matthew's. This meant that the bandits were just like Matthew was at the Iron level. It's just that his level is slightly above Matthew's.

There was something Matthew learned regarding the use of these elements and the bandits were suitable to be opponents in this little experiment. Matthew concentrated on the elements that were around him. He then asked the fire elements to enter him.

‘My friends fire element, gather and unite with me. Gather up into one.’ Matthew spoke by telepathy.

As he had previously felt, now those elements were gathered in his hands. Although the fire element had already gathered, but Matthew did not just let go. He wants them to be one.

From his observation, the runes used by professionals in this world help compress the existing elements. So, Matthew wanted to try to do something similar.

Matthew then positioned his fingers as if forming a gun. He then imagined a bullet and sent his imagination to the fire element in his hand. Matthew asked them to form a bullet when he took off later.

With a single command from Matthew, the fire element that was now compressed in the form of a bullet, now shot from his fingertips towards the bandits.
