The Master Of Elements
ME 50 Lodging

“The Snoring Turtle”.

Such is the signboard written in front of a four-story building. The train they were riding stopped right in front of the entrance of the building. Without waiting for the coachman to open the door, John hurried to open the door and exit the carriage after the train stopped.

This building in front of them was indeed quite majestic when compared to the other buildings they had seen during the journey from the outer city to the inner city. It is worth the price of staying overnight here is much more expensive than the outside city. The rate of entry to the inner city alone was ten times that of the outer city, so it was no wonder that the coachmen had underestimated them.

“This is your payment.” John threw some silver coins at the coachman who delivered them.

“Thank you Mr.” Said the driver with a big smile.

Luckily he was willing to accept this man's offer, once driving them alone was the same as his income for a day. In this way he only needed to transport a few more passengers in order to buy medicine for his wife.

The driver immediately launched his train. He can't stay here long. Not everyone can be in the city.

If he didn't leave immediately it could have been his existence offending someone. It was certain that the person he might offend was the one with the power. He who was only a coachman could not offend anyone while in the inner city.

After the coachman's departure, John took Matthew and his two younger siblings into the building called The Snoring Turtle. The ground floor of the building is used as a lobby and shop. This is probably the place for visitors to eat here.

The second to fourth floors of the building are used for lodging rooms. John walked towards the receptionist of the inn called The Snoring Turtle.

“Excuse me Sir, can I help you?” ask the receptionist kindly.

Like this receptionist does not look at them from what they wear. Unlike the coachmen, who just directly judge people by what he wears.

“Do you still have an empty room? I ordered three rooms with an inner bathroom, one of them with a double bed. If you can have the room next door. Do you guys have any?” ask John.

“It just so happens that Master, the remaining room fits perfectly with the request of Mr. Three rooms next to one of the rooms have a double bed. How many days do you need to stay Mr?”

John nodded slowly. “I'll stay one week here. If it's less, I'll add to my overnight time.” Answer John.

“Alright Sir. Seven gold coins and seventy-seven silver coins for a room with two beds, and fourteen gold coins for a room one bed, twenty-eight gold coins and seventy-five silver coins for a week's stay.” Obviously the receptionist.

“That all does not include food. We will only prepare hot water every morning. Is there anything you want to ask Mr?” ask the receptionist.

“No.” Answer John.

Before John paid for the inn, Matthew first handed twenty-nine gold coins to the receptionist. “This brother twenty nine gold coins. Return to you.” Matthew.

There's another reason why Matthew gave that kind of tip money. Tomorrow she plans to tour with her sisters when shopping week begins. At least with this tip money, Matthew could easily obtain some information from the receptionist.

Matthew was sure that a little bit of the receptionist could give advice for him when visiting the shopping week.

Matthew saw the key that was now in his grasp. One of the keys does have a hanger with the number 203 on it, while the other key has the numbers 205 and 206.

“One more time thank you brother. See you soon.” Pamit Matthew showed a big smile.

Matthew slightly waved his hand before leaving the reception desk with John, Jasper, and Ellie. They walked to the dining area on the first floor.

It just so happened that they were hungry so this small group intended to fill their stomachs before cleaning themselves in the room they ordered.

The four people were in no hurry to clean themselves up. They have got a room. They were not worried about running out of room. So the four people who have a high appetite choose to fill their stomachs first.

“Grandfather John, I've paid for his lodging. Now replace you who pay for this meal later.” Matthew said casually as they got a seat at the corner table in the tavern.

Matthew could guess that the food here was much more expensive than the food outside. It certainly tastes delicious too. Instead, he took the initiative to pay for the preparation, because he did not want to have to spend a lot of money to eat.

Not unwilling, but the portion of their meal the four of them were currently quite large. There will be a lot of money to pay for everything.

“Heh.” John grunted quietly. “I didn't expect that you were so young this was that slick. You dare set me up to pay for this meal.” Johnketus.

He had not expected the children of Albert and Elisha to trap him in this way.

“Matthew isn't sneaky Grandpa John. It's just ingenious. We can save money this way. After all, for a few days of travel wasn't Matthew the one who made the food you ate?” Ask Ellie.

“So it is not wrong if now it is your turn to spend money to treat us.” Imbuh Ellie without feeling guilty.

“So much as you.” Said John resigned.

John did not expect that he would just give up when arguing with these children. They had all sorts of reasons to avoid his words. After observing him, John realizes that these three children are much different from the children, the others he has met.

It's not just about their talent, it's about them as a whole. They are very different from children in general.

They still have a little bit of childishness. However, the decisions they make are always based on fairly mature considerations. They don't behave like their age in general.

According to John, with their attitude, these three children can live independently even without their parents. But they still need some direction.

From John's observations while with them, he could see that their knowledge was still minimal. Especially knowledge of the professional world. Perhaps Albert and Elisha did not give their children more in-depth knowledge, because of their very young age.

John hoped that the elders in the academy would accept them as students. That way, they will get in-depth guidance about the professional world.
