ME 43 Soul Energy

Tom led them through the room that was there. Matthew thought the building they were in wasn't too long.  But it's actually quite long.

So far, Matthew has only reached room number nine. Now Matthew could see the room numbered sixteen. There is even more room.

This is not a building where an odd-numbered room faces an even-numbered room. But the room here is next to each other. After a while, the road in front of them was deadlocked. The last room Matthew saw had the number twenty-seven. Long enough indeed.

Tom then opened the room numbered twenty-seven, and entered there which was then followed by the four people behind him. The room looks pretty messy. With a few items stacked on top of the shelves in an untidy manner. Some were also seen scattered on the floor. Most of these items are stored in wooden boxes.

Tom then headed towards the corner of the room. There he then pulled a lamp that was attached to the wall. After that, a secret door opened. The door was quite dark. There are only a few lights that make the atmosphere of the hallway dim.

“Wow, Master You have a secret door? So this is how you get out of the city without going through the gate. I guess we'll ask Grandpa John to take us teleporting out of town.” asked Jasper with sparkling eyes.

“Ya of course. This is my way of taking you out of Suiria City without passing through the City gates. We use the conventional way. There will be no use of the element.” Said Tom who began to enter the secret path.

They walked into the hallway. Twelve meters after they walked, there was a staircase that brought them down. Maybe they'll pass under the existing building. The stairs were quite deep, perhaps it was as deep as fifteen to twenty meters below the ground level.

“We can't have John teleport, the elemental fluctuation will make us easy to know. It is better to use this way. Conventional methods like this are still very useful. So don't rely too much on the elements you have.” Said Tom blurting out his spark with Jasper earlier.

“What Tom said is true. As much as possible we do not depend on the abilities we have. If it can be done in a conventional way, of course we have to do it. If you rely too much on your elemental abilities, if you are too pushy, it could ruin everything. You could have lost the element you had.”

Matthew scrunched his forehead hearing that. “Lost elements? Why is it like that? Is it because we use it often? Not by using it often then we will be more shrewd in using the element. Our skill level will also increase, right?” ask Matthew.

Isn't the logic like that? The more often we use it the same way we are training it. The logic is the more we practice, will we not be more adept at doing things?

Then why did Tom and John say that if we use them too much, we might lose our element? Matthew doesn't understand that. Is there a reason behind this word?

“In using elements, we need what is called soul energy. Each element has its own soul energy. You could say, every soul energy that we use to move the element is small lakes, which are connected to the flow of suangai, which will eventually lead to a large lake.”

“Since childhood we have tried to expand the lake we have and then fill it with soul energy that corresponds to a larger element. Some say that one actually has a whole lake of soul energy for each element.”

Matthew listened carefully to John's explanation. This was the first time he had listened to the explanation regarding soul energy. Matthew wanted to understand what soul energy was really.

If he understood, it would most likely be easy for him to learn many elements. Not only that, the confusion due to the limited use of elements will also be answered. Matthew also asked his two brothers to do the same. So that they understand this concept.

“This is what causes people to plunge in the professional world, but not progress. This is also what makes it difficult for someone to have new elements.”

When he said that, John looked at Matthew and his two younger siblings closely. The three of them possessed such extraordinary abilities that they possessed many elements as young as that. John himself began to feel the existence of space elements in Matthew through the flutuation of elements.

“Then as long as we use the element, we seem to take the soul energy stored in the lake. If you can still constantly charge and pick it up, maybe it won't matter.”

“But when you've had trouble replenishing, if you keep using it then everything will run out. You will no longer be able to use the element because it is no longer in you.” Imbuh Tom's.

Hearing that Matthew nodded in understanding. So the ownership of that element is not absolute. One could lose their element if they were too forced to use the element they had.

Perhaps this was also another reason why John did not bring them teleporting during this trip. Besides the fluctuations of this element is another reason.

All of these explanations also provide a new direction for Matthew to increase his strength. The expression given by John is quite easy to understand everything.

Now Matthew knows that the reason he can't use more than two elements if he does a regular attack, or only once if the attack is big, is, it had something to do with the carrying capacity of the soul energy lake he possessed.

It was possible that the great lake that John meant that channeled the entire soul energy, was a huge dam.  The door to the dam still drains a small amount of energy.

If Matthew wanted to use his element indefinitely, then he needed to concentrate his soul energy into one element. But before he does, Matthew needs to multiply the soul energy he can store in his dam.

If the dam is extensive and the contents are abundant, Matthew can do as many attacks as he wants.

“Then Grandpa John, how can we absorb soul energy? All this time my parents haven't told me about soul energy. How do we get all that?” Matthew asked for a more complete explanation.

“That's because it's not time for you to understand all this. So your parents didn't tell you about this. Actually, it's not time for you to know this. But, I will make an exception for you guys.”

John still remembers that Matthew had killed a bandit by using the elements. He didn't know how the boy did it. What is clear, now he must provide learning to better understand about the professional world and not be wrong in making decisions.
