“Sorry mentor, I can't seem to share it with you. If you want to know this secret, don't you have to exchange it for something of value? I guess, you don't have anything worth anything worth what I have this.”

Matthew's words left Frank speechless. He thought Matthew would easily provide the secret behind the increase in his power. But apparently not. Matthew asked to barter with him.

“I have a lot of knowledge that I can exchange with that information of yours. Maybe not too worth it. But, I'm sure if I give you a lot of new knowledge and other resources, all of that combined can be worth your knowledge,” explained Frank.

“But Mentor, I think there is something wrong with this saying.”

Jasper, who had been silent earlier, now spoke. What Jasper said made Frank look at him while frowning.

“You mean? Is there something wrong with my words? What is wrong.”

Frank did not feel there was anything wrong with his words. Didn't Matthew ask to barter with something worth? Therefore, if he does not have one item of equal value, he will give enough goods until the value is the same.

If you can't provide quality, then Frank will give you quantity. This is barter that does no harm according to Frank. Then, why did Jasper seem to object to this barter?

“Iya is very wrong. Didn't you accept Matt, me, and Ellie as your students? Whatever knowledge a Mentor has, it will obviously be passed down to students. If so, wouldn't you cheat Matt if you gave him the knowledge you had.”

“Again, you'll also be giving that knowledge without Matt asking. What the teacher has will be owned by the student. But, what the student has, is not necessarily owned by the teacher.”

Jasper's words made the two people who were there stunned. Matthew himself felt grateful that Jasper reminded him of this. He was almost careless and leaked all his secrets.

Although he had leaked the picture of this technique, but others would not be able to easily imitate it. Matthew is sure of that. This is because, they did not from the beginning learn the elements by befriending them.

However, if Matthew explains in detail the stages through which he passed, then others will be easy to imitate what Matthew did. Later Matthew just found out that the technique he has is quite rare and very valuable.

“Are you really not going to share his secrets?”

Matthew shook his head slowly.

“I won't share it. Maybe if I'm strong enough, I'll think about it. For now, I can't do it. But Mentor, can you promise not to spread my secret?” pinta Matthew's.

“Alright I won't tell anyone,” replied Frank.

Frank is not the type to force. And so do the other elders. He hopes to barter with Matthew in order to teach the technique to other students. Unfortunately, Matthew refused. Frank can't force it.

However, there is gratitude in Frank when he heard Matthew say, that Matthew will share his knowledge, if he is strong enough. Frank hopes Matthew keeps his promise.

“Then can I go now Mentor?” ask Matthew.

“Of course. Remember the day after tomorrow that me and the other mentors will begin your training. I'm giving you a day off today and tomorrow. So, you have to come to my place to start your practice.”

“Alright, Mentor Frank. I'll remember that well.”

“Oh Ellie, if it's not wrong, she's meeting Clarissa now.”

“Then we meet Ellie. Actually I want to share this technique now with you guys. But, since Ellie is not here, I will postpone it for a while.”

Fifteen minutes later, Matthew and Jasper had already reached the academy cafeteria. Apparently Ellie asked Clarissa to accompany her to a meal. Currently, only Clarissa was still wearing ordinary clothes and did not wear academy uniforms. Meanwhile, Matthew and his younger siblings wear white robes.

In fact, they as disciples of elders as well as potential successors to the academy's head, had robes that were different from the others. Their robes were plain black without any other frills. Then, a pin will be embedded in their right left chest to indicate the level of strength.

Matthew refused. He and his two younger siblings entered Andradius Academy as students with the weakest strength. If they came to be known to the public as disciples of the mentors, then many would challenge them to fight. That would be very detrimental to Matthew and his sisters.

“You've finished your closed-door training Matt?” clarissa asked after Matthew sat down next to Ellie.

“Yes I just finished my closed-door training.”

“How was the result?”

“Not too bad. I was quite satisfied with my closed-door training results. What about your preparation for the entrance test? Have you prepared everything?”

“Of course Matt. I have met all the criteria to become a student of Andradius Academy. I just have to wait for the day of selection to arrive.”

Matthew's gaze then combed through every corner of the canteen. This time, the cafeteria was more crowded than the last time it came. Most of those who were there were those who wore blue robes. Several people wearing red robes were also seen there.

Matthew only found out that the owners of the white robes were those in the first year, the blue robes for them in the second year, the red robes for those in the third year, and a purple robe for those in the fourth year.

Then, the green robes were a special uniform for those who were accepted as the personal disciples of the mentors. The mentors themselves wore gray robes.

For the academy heads and elders, they wore black-colored robes. What distinguishes the two is the line on the sleeves of their robes. The head of the academy had a silver colored line whereas the elder had a gold colored line.

“It looks like many seniors who are here have returned to the academy,” said Matthew.

“Yes, you're right Matt. I am always being noticed by them. That's because I'm the only one not wearing a uniform, and Ellie, she's already in one. I don't know who your acquaintances are so you can get in early. But, you also become their conversation.”

“It turns out we have caused gossip even though not long ago in the academy apparently.”

That's pretty dangerous according to Matthew. He doesn't want to be in the spotlight. If until he became the spotlight, then his days in the academy would not calm down. In fact, Matthew hopes to run life in the academy quite calmly.

“But you take it easy Matt. They won't be focusing on you now. There is currently quite a stirring news in the academy. So, their attention has been diverted to this case,” Clarissa explained.

“What news is it?” matthew asked curiously.

“About the Johanson Family. I hear soon they're going to stand trial. Evidence of abuse of authority by Mentor Louis Johanson is sufficient. In a moment the academy officials will punish him,” Clarisa explained.

Matthew just nodded slowly. He's not surprised by that. What the Johanson Family did clearly sparked the anger of the academy's higher-ups. Make their students slaves? That's a crime
