Chapter 7, Crumb - The Crumb of Love (Part 2)

Night comes to pick up the day. Shaka had already come home from accompanying his mother away and was now ready - ready to rest. Tiring day, Shaka said in his heart. As he was about to lay down his body on the bed, he heard the sound of the message ringing from his phone, which was lying on the table near his bed. He saw two messages on his phone from Sherly and Besty.

"Are you asleep, Shaka?Call me if you haven't slept. You've changed a lot." Sherly said.

Shaka just smiles and then replies to Sherly's message saying that she still needs time to treat her injuries.

Sherly replies to Shaka's message by saying hopefully time quickly heals Shaka's wounds and hopes Shaka can return to what he used to be. Sherly also says that she misses the old atmosphere. The atmosphere when Shaka often comes and has a warm conversation with him. He also said that he had no friends to confide in since Shaka never played at his house. Sherly also added that Shaka had to stop by when to go to her house because Sherly's mother often asked for her whereabouts. "My mom used to call you. Watch out you didn't stop by. I'll make it later." so Sherly ordered.

Shaka chuckles at Sherly's message and simply replies "Okay, sweet lady."

Then Shaka opened the other mailbox and read a message from Besty that said :

"Have you gone home? Are you okay?"

Shaka: "yes I've come home and

I'm still as handsome as I used to be. Don't worry."

Besty :🤮🤮🤮

Shaka laughs and then replies to Besty's message :

"Why haven't you slept?".

Besty: "Yet, your thoughts. Have you come home yet? Thank you for driving me home. Btw (by the way), why did you come and take me home?".

Shaka: "Yes, I thought about it?".

Besty replied with a smile: "You think of me?".

Shaka: "No, Bik Mimah".

Besty laughingly reads Shaka's message then says: "Why haven't you slept?"

Shaka: "Not yet, still clean - clean."

: " There was an angel who threw up on me. 3x vomited."

Besty smiled broadly, then she replied to Shaka's message: "You are a great champion".

Shaka: "I'm not good. Just telling the truth.✌"

Shaka then tells Besty to take a break because it's late at night. Besty also tells Shaka to take a break. Tomorrow Besty will bring a gift for Shaka. Shaka just smiled and said :

"I can't wait to see your surprise on tomorrow . Have a nice dream, Angel"

Besty smiles reading Shaka's message and answers it by sending a smiling emoji with red cheeks.

Shaka felt a warmth present in his heart. His feelings that were once tightly closed, now began to open up a little. For some reason, Shaka feels comfortable and connected when talking and close to Besty. However, he was still afraid to open his heart. He did not want his feelings and heart to break a second time.

Besty walked towards Shaka in disbelief. It never occurred to her that Shaka would pick her up this morning. Then Besty smiled when she saw Shaka thrust a helmet at her.

" Why is the morning beautiful?" said Shaka.

"Engga." said Besty, shaking his head.

"Because this morning was illuminated with the smile of a beautiful beautiful girl" said Shaka.

"Who? Bik Mia?" besty.

"No, it's you" Shaka said as he looked at Besty.

Besty smiled and then hit Shaka's arm with a shy blush.

"Now, a gift for you" Besty said as she offered a lunchbox.

"Bik Imah made you a sandwich for breakfast. I was also shocked when Bik Imah said he wanted to take some bread for you" Besty said.

"The age of Bik Imah never made bread except for me." continued Besty.

"Thank you" Shaka said with a smile and put the lunch box in her bag.

"Let's go" said Shaka.

Then they both went to school on the Vespa. Bik Imah who saw that from behind the living room window could only smile widely. He was happy to see Besty now smiling and laughing a lot. He felt that he had not seen the beautiful smile of his little lady for a long time. He is grateful that Besty is now a more cheerful and happy child. He just hopes Besty will be much better and be the cheerful girl she used to be.

Upon arriving at school, Shaka parked his motorcycle in the parking lot in the corner of the school. He deliberately left early so that other school students would not be known. There will be good gossip, he thought in his heart. Without opening his helmet first, Shaka then stood in front of Besty and opened the helmet that was on Besty's head. He did it without speaking. Besty could only look at Shaka while dumbly. He did not expect Shaka was a man who was attentive, although he seemed quiet and cold.

After finishing opening the helmet that was on Besty's head and also the one on his head, Shaka tells Besty to go to her class and tells her to wait for her in front of Besty's class when class time is over. He added that he would be a little late to pick up Besty. Besty who was speechless from embarrassment and nervousness could only nod her head and then leave.

During the break, Bobi takes Shaka to the cafeteria. But Shaka reluctantly responds to Bobi's request and lets him go alone. Shaka prefers to stay in class while enjoying a sandwich made by Bik Imah. While being engrossed in enjoying the sandwich, Sherly comes and approaches Shaka in her class. Sherly is surprised that Shaka is carrying a lunchbox and is enjoying the contents. Sherly was very surprised because Shaka's tumben brought food. As far as he is concerned, Shaka has not brought food since 1st grade due to embarrassment. It's getting weird Shaka, Sherly thought.

Sherly thought the food was Shaka's mother's. So with the pedunya, Sherly immediately took and enjoyed Shaka's sandwich. Shaka can only ring ‐ bobble head look at Sherly's behavior.

"Bangettttt boy, Shak. I don't think your mother's sandwich tastes good on bangett." said Sherly.

"Tomorrow I ask again ya.." continued Sherly with the pedunya while leaving the class Shaka because the sandwich in the food box was finished.

After the lesson was over, Shaka did not go straight to Besty's class. He was silent for a moment in his class, waiting for other students to go home from school while reading a book. When it was a bit quiet, Shaka got out of his chair and went to Besty's class. As usual, Besty waits for Shaka on the front porch bench of Besty's class. Noticing Shaka's presence, Besty immediately stood up and greeted Shaka with a smile.

Shaka apologizes for the delay and invites Besty to go home. While beside his motorcycle, Shaka took a helmet that was in the rearview of his vespa and put it on Besty's head. Besty blushed in shame and misbehavior. Shaka just smiled at Besty who was misbehaving. He then hugged her and drove her home.

On the way home, Shaka fixed his rearview mirror and pointed it at Besty's face. Besty, knowing this, turns away from the rearview mirror in embarrassment and hits Shaka on the back.

"ihhh, what the hell is sihh." said Besty with a shy blush.
