Chapter 18, Old Wounds (Part 1)

Shaka ponders back on Besty's words to have her meet Sherly in person. He actually wanted to follow Besty's advice, but there were other feelings that encouraged him to keep holding himself back from meeting Sherly. Maybe next time, Shaka murmured inwardly. Let time answer it, he added.

As the day nears night falls, Shaka hears her cell phone ringing. There was one message from the mobile number that as he was known entered into his phone. He grabbed the phone on his bedside table and opened the mailbox. Shaka was surprised to find out the name of the sender of the message inside. He did not expect that he would be contacted again by the girl he had long buried deep in the depths of his heart.

Dance : "Hi Shaka, how are you? Have you met for a long time? Dance."

Shaka was shocked and silent for a moment. He is confused, wants to reply to the message or left alone. But he also wondered why Tari had contacted him. What prompted Tari to do just that. Finally, the curiosity won. Shaka then decides to reply to Dance's message.

Shaka: "Hi Dance, good news. How's things? Is there anything I can help you with?"

Dance: "Good news, Shaka. I just remember you. I have not seen you for a long time."

: " Just miss you."

Shaka silently read the message. It was too naive of the words of Dance. After giving false hope to Shaka and then abandoning him. Now Tari contacted him again and expressed his kangen taste to Shaka. Shaka smiled and replied to the message.

Shaka: "Kangen why?"

Dance smiles at Shaka's message, then she replies.

Dance: "Yes, I miss you. Time can miss you. Don't know why, but I always remember you."

: " I've always had the shadow of your face in my dreams."

Shaka smiled at the contents of Dance's message. He already understands the style of Dance language that always gives hope to others. Always play with the heart and make Ge-er (gedhe flavor) the person who reads it. A characteristic feature of a player (playgirl), Shaka thought. But fortunately Shaka has learned everything from Dance in the past. So that Shaka did not respond too much to the words of the Dance.

Shaka: "Sorry Dance, what do you want now? Is there anything I can help you with?"

Dance: "There, just want to be friends with you."

: " Maybe this is very naive, Shaka. But I know that I've made a mistake with you and I want to apologize to you as sincerely as my heart."

: "You want to apologize to me?"

Shaka: "Lupain, Dance. Let the past pass."

Dance: "But you want to be friends with me?"

Shaka: "Yes, nothing."

Dance: "Thank you very much, Shak."

: " I know you are a kind and understanding man. I am sure now that my choice is correct.

Shaka: "yes, same."

Shaka then put down his phone. He felt upset because Dance returned to his life. He felt open his old wounds again that he had tightly closed in his heart. He does not want to repeat his past. He was still imagined bitter and painful for the failure of his first love. He also still imagined how broken he was at that moment. No one can help her, except for herself and Sherly's encouragement of messages to move on that she sends every night, though Shaka rarely replies to Sherly's messages.

Dance reveals various reasons for staying always together with Shaka. One of them was the breakdown of her engagement relationship with another man. Tari recounts that she deeply regretted rejecting Shaka for her fiance. But finally the man who became his fiancee was actually in a relationship with his coworkers. Leaving Tari alone away from her. Now Dari regrets and wishes Shaka back into the arms of Tari at any cost.

Shaka is confused with the attitude of the dance. He really wanted to share the burden of his heart with others. But he was also confused as to who to tell. He could not have told that to his family. He also lazy story to Bobi because he knows for sure he will be laughed at by Bobi. In addition, Bobi must have told her to accept Tari's love and advocated for a double affair. After bidding farewell to her parents, Shaka leaves by riding his beloved vespa.

On arrival on Sherly's street, Shaka turns off his bike and parks the bike a little way from Sherly's house. Then he walked up to Sherly's house and peeked near the fence.

He saw Sherly's house wasn't too bright. Only the front porch and living room of his house were illuminated by lights, while the front yard used as a car garage was still dark. Only faintly visible due to the light from the terrace.

Shaka saw no cars parked in his garage. Shaka also did not see the bustling activities of the residents of the house. He only saw a girl sitting alone on the porch.

Shaka smiled at Sherly who was daydreaming on the porch of his house. He then pulled out his phone and miscall Sherly's phone. After that, he sent a message in the form of emergency.

"Sher....Helpggg!!! I." so ordered Shaka.

Shaka then peeks out of the fence to see Sherly's response. She saw Sherly reading the message and then pacing the porch.

After that, it wasn't until 5 minutes later that Sherly called Shaka.

"Shakkkk, what are you?!!!" said Sherly.

"Aku...Akuuuu.." said Shaka glaring at Sherly with a sad pretend and a raucous voice.

"Shakkkk, what are you doing?!! Don't make me panic..!! asked Sherly with concern.

"Where are you now???" coined.

"Iuuu near your house." said Shaka as he continued to peek at Sherly from outside the fence.

Shaka then sees Sherly half-running towards the fence outside her house. Shaka further hides himself on the outer wall of his fence when he learns Sherly is close to the front fence of his house. When Sherly opens the door lock outside her house and then exits, Shaka immediately greets her.

"Hi Sher." said Shaka.

Sherly who heard Shaka's words was shocked half to death and slightly shouted. Shaka laughed at Sherly's behavior. Then Sherly hits Shaka's arm and looks all over her body.

"You why??? What's going on???" sherly said with worry.

"I don't know why, Sherly" said Shaka, laughing.

"You're making people panic. That's why I didn't open the fence. Worry to know." said Sherly.

"Udah, I want to go in" said Sherly who frowned at Shaka.

Sherly also intends to go inside the house. But his steps came to a halt as Shaka held his hand while saying :

"I want to see you, Sher. I miss you."
