Chapter 4, The Fate Line of the Meeting

The cocks crowed with each other and morning came to pick up the day. Shaka is ready in his uniform and then bids farewell to his father and mother to go to school.

" Let's have breakfast, Shaka" said Dad.

" I'm sorry, Dad. Shaka left first. Shaka was afraid of being late" Shaka said as he kissed his father and mother's hands.

" Why ride a motorcycle, Shaka?" said Mother.

" No, Ma. Shaka just take the transportation." said Shaka with a smile and then went on foot to find angkot (City Collateral) who will take him to school.

Shaka's father and mother were astonished to see Shaka's behavior. They felt Shaka had changed a lot. They saw clearly the change in Shaka.

Since the incident with Tari, Shaka now likes to stay in the room and does not like to talk like before. Shaka now prefers to take the city transport instead of riding his blind motorbike. Shaka also quit Taekwondo activities that he had been in since grade 5 Elementary School. Even more to make parents ask questions, Shaka chose the IPS major and resigned from the Training Center. Even though he really wants to enter the IPA class and is eager to always follow the Training Centre every championship he will participate in. Father and mother know for a fact that Shaka loves challenges and every competition that comes into his life.

Shaka's father and mother had talked about it with Shaka. But Shaka just said he wanted to try and enjoy the new things in his life. So that the father and mother did not comment much and respect the decision of the eldest child. Shaka's father and mother can only pray that Shaka can live better with his decision.

When he got down from the angkot, Shaka saw a girl of mixed race mongoloid and caucasoid about to cross the road to go to the school opposite. At the same time, Shaka saw a motorcycle speeding very fast from the side of the girl. Seeing this, Shaka immediately ran towards the girl and sheetttt.!, and....!, Shaka pulls the girl's arm so quickly that the girl's body turns back to face Shaka and falls against Shaka's wide chest.

The girl was just dumbfounded and shocked as she looked at Shaka. He does not believe that he fell in Shaka's arms. With a thumping heart, the girl continued to look at Shaka without saying a word.

After the motorbike passed, Shaka then looked at the girl's beautiful eyes and then left. He just walked away from the girl without saying anything.

"Hey..! Hey...!" yelled the girl.

Shaka stopped his steps to cross over and looked towards the girl behind him.

"Thank you" said the girl.

Shaka did not answer him, he turned his body and passed away leaving the girl to cross alone.

The bell rings indicating that the break has begun. When Shaka and Bobi were about to leave class to go to the school cafeteria, they saw Sherly standing next to Shaka's classroom door.

"Shaka, do I want to talk to you?" said Sherly.

"What am I, Sher? It's just Shaka doang. I also want to." said Boby.

"Can..., but next year yeah.." Sherly replied.

"Go to the cafeteria first, Bob" said Shaka.

"OK then." replied Bobi while leaving them both.

Shaka and Sherly sit in class. Sherly talks at length about Shaka's attitude. Shaka just kept quiet while looking at Sherly's lips that kept on issuing endless sentences. Spilling all the despair that had been in his heart all this time. Shaka simply responds to Sherly with a smile and answers her question briefly, densely and clearly. Makes Sherly even more curious and upset with Shaka's attitude.

Shaka and Sherly are shocked by Besty's arrival to Shaka's class. They stopped their conversation and looked towards Besty. Besty was silent for a moment in front of Shaka's classroom door, looked towards them and then turned around to leave Shaka's class.

Shaka continued to look at the girl's passing black hair while listening to Sherly's rant that kept scolding her.

A few days later, the heat illuminated that day. When Shaka was waiting for the angkot to come home. He saw at the corner of the intersection not far from the school, had stood 3 boys and 1 girl.

Joni and her two friends are trying to interrupt and corner Besty when all the students have gone home from school.

" Hey..! Is this what you meant as an apology, huh?" besty.

" I set you up on purpose, pretty girl.!". said Joni.

"I deliberately tricked you into coming alone when you came home from school. I will never forget the events in the cafeteria. This time, I will teach you a lesson, arrogant girl..!" joni continued while pushing Besty cornered to the wall.

"Based on cowards..!!! Ohhhh..!!! reply Besty while spitting into Joni's face.

" Bastardly..!!!" joni said as he rubbed Besty's spit on his face.

" Receive this arrogant girl..!!!" joni shouted as he clenched his hand to hit Besty.

Before Joni's hand hits Besty's face, a Yeop Chagi kick (a side kick with a foot knife) flies over Joni's body causing Joni to fall down. His large body was unable to withstand a kick from Shaka. Joni fell down the road and caused her mouth to bleed.

Seeing Joni fall, the two Joni friends immediately move forward to attack Shaka. Joni who fell earlier then stood up and fought against Shaka. There was a 3 on 1 fight.

Besty who saw the fight looked scared and immediately covered her face with both hands. He only heard the sound of punches and kicks clashing with each other and the screams accompanied by the sound of the boy who fell. Until finally heard the sound of steps - footsteps running away from the place.

After no noise around her, Besty opened the hand that covered her face. He saw Shaka standing in front of him with a stingy breath. His school uniform was dirty, full of the sole of a shoe that was accompanied by a scarred face. His cheeks were bruised and his mouth was bleeding. He was shocked to see the state of Shaka while crying down from the shock of the incident that happened to him.

"You're okay, what?" said Shaka.

Besty just kept quiet while looking at Shaka and then he nodded his head.

"Let me drive home" said Shaka.

Then Shaka and Besty walked away from the place. They search for the nearest Angkot base and then take an angkot that takes them to Besty's house.

Along the way at Angkot, they just fell silent and looked at each other. They often look into each other's eyes and eventually make them smile at each other.

"Shaka" Shaka said as he extended his hand towards Besty and smiled.

"Besty "replies Besty while grabbing Shaka's hand. Grasping her and then replying to her with her warm smile.
