Chapter 2, A Broken Bone Will Never Be Broken Back

Dance who heard the words Shaka was silent for a while, then Tari looked at Shaka and laughed at him.

Shaka's tense face turned confused. He looked at Dari with a feeling of not understanding the attitude of Dance.

After that, Tari said "If you love me, why, Shaka? What's wrong with that?

" A lot of people love me, not just you. The male friends in my class love me a lot. Even my younger brothers and sisters have expressed love for me. Then what's wrong, Shaka?".

"Do you not understand, Dance? I love you with all my heart. Do you want to be my girlfriend?" reply Shaka.

"No" said Tari.

When Shaka's face was aghast and stammered, he said "Didn't you love me, Dance?"

"No" reply Dance.

Shaka's face turned pale. It felt like there was a big concrete slamming into him. Pain and pain enveloped his feelings. His heart was pounding uncontrollably. Crumple down his soul. Making himself waver and with all his might, he tried to make himself hard to bear the words of Dance.

With clenched lips - valves, Shaka says "Te.ruuss, ttee..ruuss, what makk...sudmu that you haa..nyyyaaa..need me?"

"What does it mean that you say that I'm the only man who gives you genuine attention?"

" What do you mean by all the sweet words you said to me, Tari?" said Shaka.

"Have you been playing me all this time, Dance? " continue Shaka.

" I enjoy your attention and affection, Shaka. But I don't love you. I already have a fiancee, even far away on the opposite island" said Tari.

Time seems to stop beating. The day turned dark. Cloudy comes to decorate the clouds and make the atmosphere around become gray. Seharu blue feeling Shaka that he is experiencing now.

With a heavy sigh and tightness in the chest, Shaka continued his question to Tari.

"Do you need me as an eraser of your loneliness, Dance?"

"Yes" said Tari.

With a look of disbelief, Shaka then said "Dance, I love you with all my heart. I'm willing to sacrifice all my time just for you."

"I just felt the love in my heart, Dance. My love is sincere and holy to you because you are my first love, Tari." Shaka continued.

" But I don't love you. You are just a friend to me" said Tari.

Sighing and looking at Dance's face, Shaka said

" Alright Dance, I accept all that. Thank you for making me feel love for the first time. Thank you for teaching me all this time. I'll go home first. Thank you." said Shaka.

"Whatever." reply Dance.

Then Shaka left the house of Tari. He left just staring at the empty direction in front of him. He did not turn in the direction of Dance. He left the house of Tari with a broken feeling, enduring the pain and heartache in him, along with the rain that sat on him.

He did not expect that Dance would be that cruel. Injuring the heartfelt love that he had been offering only to Dance. Betraying all the sacrifices he has made for the sake of just one Dance.

Shaka has given up all his time for Dance. He deliberately saved his pocket money just to be able to call and invite Tari to eat.

He was willing to sacrifice his extra time of rest so that he could accompany Tari walking - the road. In between - between his busy time practicing Taekwondo, he took the time to always accompany Dance. He does not care about his own health even though he is an athlete who is undergoing Training Center at his school for the Inter-school Championship Competition next year.

In fact, he was willing to skip school only to meet Tari who had hung his heart for more than 2 months. But all his sacrifices were in vain. Now there is only a sense of pain, disappointment and regret that looms over Shaka.

On his way, Shaka could only cry. His eyes stared at the road. It's so painful it feels. Very sad feeling. He doesn't know what to do. He just went down the road not necessarily the direction. Go with the wind and rain that accompany him.

Meanwhile, it did not feel like the afternoon had come. Shaka's mother is worried because time is going to get dark, but Shaka still hasn't shown his nose either. Especially with the rainy weather and lightning that came to decorate the sky at that time.

Walking back and forth in front of her father, Shaka's mother said :

" Patience Ma'am, maybe Shaka's in the shade again" Dad said.

" Yes, Mom. Perhaps the brother is also taking shelter in his friend's house." said Rama, Shaka's brother.

" There won't be anyone who dares to kidnap your sister, Mom. Brother is a Taekwondo black belt holder." continued Rama.

Rama is Shaka's younger brother. He is Shaka's younger brother. He was 15 years old and was sitting in the 3rd grade of Junior High School in one of the private schools in the city of Malang. He was classified as a nosy child, but very dear and trusting to his brother.

Shaka's father was an employee at one of the city's top SOEs. While Shaka's mother is a housewife who used to be an office friend of her father Shaka. However, Shaka's mother prefers to resign from the company to keep and educate her two beloved sons.

" It's not about kidnapping - kidnapping, Rama. I'm just afraid of why - why with your sister. Mom and Dad knew your brother was a martial arts master. Don't you remember how your brother beat up 2 of his friends in 3rd grade and had to get Dad called to school?" groused Mother.

"Mom was just worried. It's not usually your sister doesn't tell Mom." Mother continued.

" Yes ma'am, try Shaka's phone" Dad said.

"Already, Dad. But Shaka didn't pick it up. How about it, Dad?" reply mom.

"Try it again, who knows, he will answer it. Maybe he kept his phone because it was raining" Dad said.

"Haduhhhh, nih anakkkkk, make parents worry." growled his mother.

But when his mother tried to call Shaka, a text from Shaka was heard. Shaka informs his mother that Shaka is now taking shelter in Sherly's house. He apologized for coming home late and worried his family.

Seeing the text from his eldest son, his mother Shaka was relieved. She has known Sherly and her family since a year ago because Sherly often chatted with Shaka's family. Sherly also often plays to Shaka's house. The mother simply advised the child not to come home late at night even though tomorrow is Sunday.

When leaving the house of Tari, Shaka just spent his time to reflect on the events he had just experienced. Not felt, time has gone by in the afternoon and in a few hours the sky will be dark.

He didn't think of calling his mother. Because he knew that his mother would know that he was crying. Well that's how Mom is, her instincts are as sharp as a tiger. For this reason, he only texted to inform him of his condition.

In a desperate situation, Shaka then goes to Sherly's house. He doesn't know who else he's going to tell the pain of his heart except to Sherly. He was embarrassed to tell the problem to his father and mother. Afraid of being laughed at by his family again.

He still remembers when his family laughed at him when he got a love letter from his schoolmate in the 3rd grade of Junior High. He still remembers when his younger brother Rama tried to prank himself by reading a love letter hidden in his wardrobe in front of his father and mother at breakfast. He did not want the shameful events of the past to happen again. Therefore, this time he was determined to hide his feelings. But what power, Shaka is not strong enough to hold the pain and decides to go to Sherly's house to find a solution.

When he arrives at Sherly's house fence, Shaka takes shelter and pulls out his cell phone and sends him a short message: 'Shaka :

" I'm in front of your house. You where?"

Long enough Shaka waited for a response from Sherly. 1 Hour later, a woman opened her door and said :

" Saka..."

Shaka turned his head and could only look at Sherly with a sad look.

Sherly ran and immediately opened the gate of her white house. He saw the face of Shaka's swollen face and his clothes were soaked with rain.

He knows for sure that Shaka is going through a bad thing because he has known Shaka for a long time. Behind his cold demeanor, Shaka is a gentle and warm man.

Without further ado, Sherly said "What happened? Are you all right?".

Shaka hugged Sherly and shed all his tears. But he refrained from doing that.

He could only look at Sherly while trying to hold back the tears that fell down his cheek.

Without much to say, Sherly holds Shaka's hand and leads herself into her house.

Shaka just fell silent and looked at Sherly as she did just that. Reminds her of the same things that Tari did to her when they both took shelter in the school cafeteria when it rained.
