Chapter 45, Wisdom of Life

Two weeks before the game, Shaka got bad news. He was shocked by the sudden death of Mr. Bram due to a heart attack. Shaka was so shocked because it was only yesterday afternoon, Shaka and Pak Bram were training together. He remembered Mr. Bram's last message before they parted after training.

In addition to the sad news of the death of Mr. Bram, the, Shaka also received another bad news, namely the confirmation letter from the National Championship Committee that for a while the National Taekwondo Junior Championship to be held in Jogjakarta this year will be canceled for technical reasons.

It automatically makes Shaka feel weak and powerless to hold his emotions. How not, he had been hard-earned to prepare himself as hard as possible, but eventually he failed to follow the national championship. For him the Taekwondo Junior National Championship is Shaka's last chance to compete in Junior class. In addition, he also lost the figure of a coach who has managed to restore his confidence and ability.

Her parents and Sherly try to cheer her up. Trying to dispel the disappointment and sadness that had piled up in his heart. Yet all their efforts failed. Shaka chose to insinuate and shut himself down. He felt he had lost hope and hope to compete in the world championship he dreamed of. Moreover, he has promised to convict Hendra in the upcoming national championship.

All his hopes and spirit had faded. It pensively pensive itself. He even broke his cell phone's sim card so that no one would contact him. He chooses not to talk about anything about himself to anyone, including his parents and Sherly. He wants to be completely alone.

"Here, read it yourself." His mother said, handing a white envelope to Shaka.

"He came here to say goodbye to mom and dad." Mother says.

Shaka was shocked and then fell silent while looking at the envelope in his mother's hand.

"He's trying to say goodbye to you, Shak. But you didn't give him a chance to do it." Mother Said.

"Thank you, Mom." Shaka replied while receiving the letter.

He then returned to his room and read the letter while sitting on the edge of his bed. Shaka looked at the sentence after sentence that Sherly had written for him. Sherly informs Shaka that she left for Jakarta to attend the State Higher Education Entrance Selection (SNMPTN) which will be held in two weeks at the University of Indonesia. There he will take the Department of Management at the Faculty of Economics and Business.

Finally at the end of his letter, he told Shaka that he could live well even if all the storms hit him. He also hopes that one day the two of them will meet again in a much better situation.

"If you want to see the rainbow, you must accept the rain."

As soon as the last sentence of Sherly's letter that made Shaka go silent and sighed many times. He tried to reflect on every sentence in the letter Sherly while imagining all the journey of his life together with Sherly who had always been faithful to accompany him.

He also then remembered all the journey of his life, all the sacrifices of his parents and also the sacrifice of Sherly for himself during this time. For three whole days, he reflected on everything. He wept for himself, realizing how much the sacrifice of those who had always loved him meant. He also realized how much affection meant to parents and Sherly who had been sincerely given to him. He feels the most stupid people in the world by ignoring their sincerity because of his ego. He now felt how much they meant to him.

Until he finally opened the door to his room. He encouraged himself to meet his parents to talk about his heart's wishes. His mother cried hearing his eldest son's wish. Because her mother knew that Shaka would go away from home. While his father can only fret to try to understand the wishes of his son. Finally Shaka's father and mother allow and bless Shaka to realize his wishes.

A few days later, his father, mother and brother Rama escorted Shaka to the Malang Railway Station in Kota Baru. They hugged each other tightly and cried. Her father and mother advised Shaka to take good care of herself and go home when the opportunity arises. Shaka rubbed his tears while nodding his head. She thanked him for all the care and sacrifice of her parents. He also apologized for not being able to realize his father's desire to be able to win the national championship and bring home the trophy to be displayed at his home.

His father smiled and rubbed his son's head. Wisely, his father said to him.

"We can't predict the course of life, son. All we can do is live it." Father said.

"Run your life, achieve your desires, pursue your ideals and realize your dreams.

Father and mother's blessings are always with you." Continue while continuing to rub the head of the eldest child.

Shaka then hugged his father and mother. Before leaving, he told his sister.

"Dear father and mother, brother will call Rama when he gets there." Shaka said as he rubbed his sister's head.

His sister nodded her head while wiping her tears.

"Send a lot of news, Shak. I will miss you every day." His mother said while shedding tears.

"Yes, Mom. Shaka will call mom and dad once Shaka gets there." Answer Shaka.

He then went into the waiting room of the train, replying to his family's hand. Leaving them for a while to realize the happiness of those who have always loved him sincerely.
