Chapter 28, A Wish...

Shaka's phone rings. Disperse Shaka's daydream about last night. He turned his head and saw that Bobi's name was on his phone call. Shaka picks up his phone and answers Bobi's call.

"Hello, Bob. How's it?" ask Shaka.

"Shak, I'm going to Sherly's house." You want me to yuk?" said Bobi.

"Why do you want to be cemented?" ask Shaka.

"I want to apologize about yesterday afternoon" Bobi said.

"Saranku, you better go there first" said Shaka.

"I'm not good, Shak. Shame on Sherly" said Bobi.

"Yahoo, Shak. Temenin retreated." said Bobi.

"Yes, you go first. I showered.

"But you really went there." said Bobi.

"Yes, you go there first" said Shaka

"okay, Shak. Thanks" said Bobi.

Shaka hung up the phone and then went to clean his body. As she changes, she smiles as she sees Besty's pink sweater hanging in front of her wardrobe. Then he rushed to Sherly's house after saying goodbye to his parents.

Half an hour later, Shaka arrives in front of Sherly's house. He saw a Bobi motorbike parked in front of the gate of Sherly's house. Shaka then shuts off the engine. From the top of his bike, Shaka sees Sherly and Bobi sitting on the porch. Shaka saw they were looking serious. They did not laugh as usual. They are more silent and stiff. Shaka thought something must be going on between the two of them. Shaka then got off the top of his bike. Stand up his bike and take off his helmet. Then he stepped into the front gate of Sherly's house.

Sherly and Bobi turn their heads when they find out that Shaka is in front of the fence. Sherly moves out of her chair and goes to Shaka. As she opens the gate, Shaka sees Sherly's face. Shaka tries to smile and greet her, but Sherly just smiles and does not reply. He then returned to the terrace where he was sitting. When Shaka comes, Bobi stands up and greets Shaka. Then he decided to leave.

"Where are you going, Bob?" shaka asked with a little wonder.

He saw the look on Bobi's face that looked sad. There was guilt in Bobi's eyes.

"I'm going home first, Shak. I still have business." replied Bobi.

"Sher I'll go home first" said Bobi, who Sherly replied with a nod of her head.

"Yukkk, Kushka. I'll go home first." said Bobi.

"okay, Bob. Be careful on the road" Shaka said as he patted Bobi on the shoulder.

Shaka sees Bobi who goes to step out to the gate of Sherly's house. After Bobi leaves Sherly's house, Shaka sits down and looks at Sherly.

"Are you okay?" ask Shaka.

Sherly was silent and said nothing. He just looked ahead while playing with his finger.

"I don't know what's going on, but I know you're bearing something" Shaka said.

"I know there's a burden hanging in your heart, Sher" said Shaka.

Sherly was silent and silent. Shaka then continued his words.

"If you still believe in me, let me help you" said Shaka.

"But if you doubt, nothing. I will wait for you to believe me." said Shaka.

Sherly was silent a moment later without turning her head towards Shaka, Sherly said :

"Bobby says he told you everything."

"Now you know how I feel, right?"

Shaka was shocked by Sherly's words. He kept quiet and kept looking at Sherly.

Sherly turned her head and looked into Shaka's eyes.

"Yes, I love you, Shak" Sherly said.

"You're the only reason for me to turn down all the guys, including Bobi" he concluded.

Sherly then set her gaze forward again. Not feeling her tears wet her red cheeks. Shaka was sad to see that. He thinks it's time he had to choose between Sherly or Besty. Is it time he lost Sherly. Honestly, he doesn't want to lose Sherly. Because as long as he's hurt, only Sherly keeps encouraging him. Only Sherly continues to accompany him without expecting any strings attached. Sherly's sincerity has been unfolding and becoming one in her heart. Making his heart become agitated should be in this kind of situation. He just hopes, may God give the best way for him and Sherly.

"But I know, Shak. I can't take you from Besty" Sherly said.

"I know that you love him." he added.

"Sher.." said Shaka lirih.

Sherly then looked towards Shaka. She wiped her tears and said :

"I don't do anything to be like you now."

"I'm quite happy to see the person I love happy with someone else."

"But I don't want, the one I love to be humbled by others."

"I don't accept that the person I love is considered a coward by others who don't know who he is."

"I just want you to be able to live as well as you used to."

"I just want you to be like the Shaka I used to know."

"I want you to get your pride again, Shak."

"That's what I want."

"But if you don't want to, it's okay. I'm not gonna force you."

"That's your life choice, like my life's choice to love you."

"Even if I don't ask you to repay me."

Shaka was silent at Sherly's words. His heart was so shocked at Sherly's words. He knows that Sherly likes him. But she didn't think that Sherly liked her more than that. He even loved her a long time ago.

Now he understands why Sherly always closed her heart to other men. Now he understands why Sherly always accompany and encourage him even though he never asked for it. Now he understands why Sherly is so caring and chatty to him. How foolish and insensitive, Shaka grumbled to himself.

Shaka had all of Sherly's attention on him. He remembered all the forms of love Sherly had given him. Indeed, he never expressed it, but all traces of sincerity so far more illustrates the real feeling of love.

Now Shaka realizes how great Sherly's sacrifice is for Shaka. She was deeply moved by everything Sherly had done for her over the years. He realizes that he will not be able to repay all of Sherly's sincerity. He also realizes that he cannot replace all Sherly's sacrifices with anything. Shaka felt a huge push hit him. Destroying the walls of indifference within him. Destroying her spirit cover all this time. Finally, Shaka clenched his hand and looked towards Sherly.

"Sheerr.." said Shaka lirih.

Sherly hears Shaka's call and then turns to her.

"Sher, I thank you for all your sincerity. I'm sorry for all my stupidity" Shaka said as he looked at Sherly's face.

"I'm sure I won't be able to replace everything you've done for me all this time."

"But, at least I want to make it up to you a little bit, Sher."

"I'll do it for you, Sher."

"I promise, I'll fulfill your wish."

Sherly is shocked to hear Shaka's words. He did not expect Shaka to comply with his wishes. Sherly then shed her tears of joy.

"Thank you, Shak" Sherly said with a smile.

"Sher, I thank you" Shaka said with a smile as well.

"Don't cry, I'm sad to see you cry" she added, wiping a tear on Sherly's cheek.

Then they both smiled. Shaka was grateful that God gave way for him. So he doesn't have to choose between Besty and Sherly. And most importantly, he doesn't have to lose Sherly in his life. Not for the moment.
