Chapter 15, Secrets of the Heart (Part 1)

Shaka brought Besty to a cafe with a diverse interior design with a unique concept. The cafe spoils the eyes and imagination by presenting a variety of interesting photo spots with different themes such as Box Telephone Decoration, Barber Decoration and Street Decoration.

Besty was impressed by the ambience cafe. Shaka just smiled at the behavior of Besty who was amazed by the set of interior decorations in the cafe. Shaka then took Besty's hand and took her into the semi-outdoor area on the right side of the cafe and sat on a table facing the highway.

A minute later, waitress came to hand the set menu book to the two of them and then stood beside them to take note of the food and drink they were going to order.

"What did you order, Besty?" said Shaka.

"What, it's up to you" Besty said as she looked to the right and to the left.

"Then, I order 1 waffle and Hot Chocolate Latte, keep Chilli Tofu and Hot Green Tea Latte" Shaka said.

"Good, Mas. I confirm the order is yes, 1 waffle, 1 Chilli Tofu, 1 Hot Chocolate Latte and 1 Hot Green Tea Latte" said the waitress.

"Yes, Mother. Thanks" said Shaka.

"Good, Mas. Wait about 10 minutes, Mas." said the waitress with a smile and then left the two of them.

After the waitress left, Besty said to Shaka :

"What a good place, Shak?"

"You know there's this cozy place?

"Are you here often? continued.

"Engga, only 3 times. Four times now it's the same you." Shaka said as he looked at Besty.

"Whose first, second and third are the same?" ask Besty full of probes.

Shaka smiled at Besty's question and then answered her :

"That's the same as anyone, by itself" said Shaka.

"Definitely Boong?Be honest about nothing." - Goody.

Shaka smiled and then kept silent for a moment while looking at Besty. Besty looks confused by Shaka's actions. Why did Shaka shut up and not answer the question. Has he offended Shaka?

"Why are you quiet, Shak? Are you offended?" asked Besty with worry.

Shaka then smiled and said :

"Relgan."

"A lot of it." he continued.

"Why keep quiet?" ask Besty.

Shaka then fell silent again, after sighing, he said :

"I always come here when I start to believe something."

Before continuing his words, waitress came up with a meal that had already been ordered by them. After placing their order on the table, the waitress left the two of them.

"Waffle and hot chocolate for you" Shaka said.

"I know you like waffles and hot chocolate.

"Kog you know?" ask Besty.

"Yes, I asked Bik Imah." Shaka said with a smile.

"Ihhh basic. You must have bribed Bik, huh?" sherly said while drinking her hot chocolate.

Shaka just smiled at Besty's baseless assumptions and then drank his Hot Green Tea Lattenya.

"What?" answer plain shaka.

"Yes.., that was. That you said just now. The one you said always came here" Besty said.

Shaka smiled at the curiosity that arose in Besty's statement. Then he drank a sip of his drink and continued.

"I always come here when I start believing things" Shaka said.

"I brought you here because I believe in you, believe in you, and believe in our relationship" he continued.

"If I don't know fully about you and our future" he added.

"But I want to start this relationship with honesty on the basis of trust" he concluded.

Besty just silently heard Shaka's words. Then he looked at the Hot Chocolate mug in front of him while putting both hands on the dimug. He seemed to be thinking about something while trying to fight the cold air of Malang City that enveloped them.

"Shak, I want to tell you something. I hope I didn't let you down" Besty said with a sigh.

Shaka looked Besty in the eye and he was ready to listen to all the words that would come out of Besty's mouth.

"Shak, in addition to my parents' problems, I also have other problems that are the reason I moved."

"I want to forget Hendra, my ex."

"He's my mother's friend's son and we've been betrothed since childhood. I was so close to her from childhood that we finally had to split up last year."

"He's a year older than me. He was the son of a wealthy man in Surabaya, who was handsome and flamboyant. But, dear, he is very ambitious."

"We had a fight when he lost the final match of last year's Taekwondo Junior National Championship in Jakarta."

Shaka was shocked to hear Besty's words. But he preferred to be quiet and not interrupt Besty's words.

"He blames me for not being by his side when he loses. He said, I'm selfish and selfish."

Besty then lowered her head. No tears fell down her cheeks. He felt very sad about the feeling he was experiencing. He then straightened his face and tried to wipe away his tears. But before his hand could wipe him, Shaka brought his body closer to Besty and wiped the tears that fell soaked Besty's eye sockets.

Besty is shocked by Shaka's treatment. He could only shut up and feel Shaka's warm hands rubbing tears on his face while looking at Shaka who was smiling at him.

"Are you disappointed, Shak?" besty said after Shaka stopped wiping away her tears.

Shaka gulped his saliva and then said :

"Relgan."

Despite the anxiety of controlling her feelings, Shaka tries to control her situation. He tried to reduce the disappointment in his heart. On the one hand, he thought that he should not only be used as an impingement by Besty. But on the other hand, he did not want to see the girl he liked was more sad and lost hope. His logic hints that Besty put his trust and hope in Shaka by telling him about his past. His instincts said that Besty was trying to clean up little by little the burden that stuck in his heart and feelings. Therefore, Shaka tries not to increase the burden of his heart by holding his own feelings now.

"How does the story go?" said Shaka.

"Have you explained why you didn't come?" continued.

Besty drank her Hot Chocolate and then replied :

"Once, many times I explained that I was having the last photo shoot in Surabaya" said Besty.

"Once I apologized to him. But he still blames me. Because I didn't come, he ended up losing" Besty said.

"I finally decided to quit the modeling world and agreed to move to Malang" he continued.

"I feel guilty to Hendra, Shak" Besty said.

"And it's this guilt that makes me sometimes unable to forget him" he continued.

" I'm sorry, Shak." concluded Besty.
