Chapter 20, Old wounds (Part 3)

The next day, Shaka leaves to pick up Besty to go to school. Arriving in front of his house, Shaka had seen Besty waiting for him at his doorstep. Besty immediately smiled when she saw Shaka coming and she immediately approached him. Shaka is fascinated by Besty's increasingly beautiful appearance. With her white face, she grew more and more beautiful and feminine with her soft, straight black hair.

"Morning, beautiful." said Shaka with a smile.

"Morning, Shak." said Besty with a beautiful smile.

"You know what you have in common with America and Japan?" ask Shaka.

"What's wrong?" ask Besty.

"Do you know what it is?" shaka Goda.

"Yes, you want to know bangett." said Besty.

"America makes drones, Japan makes robots, you make me miss your smile." - Shaka.

Besty laughed at Shaka's chattering.

"Udah, let's go. Early in the morning it was terrible." said Besty.

Shaka smiled. Then he stood up from his bike and put the helmet on Besty's head. After that they left Besty's house to go to school. After removing the helmets from the heads, they headed to their respective classes with the promise of meeting again when the lesson hour was over. They are not like other teenagers who have to be alone here and there. They do not show their affection in public. They respect each other's privacy. For Shaka, dating is not just about relationships and physical closeness, but an emotional bond based on trust and loyalty.

As the break bell rang, Bobi took Shaka to the cafeteria. But Shaka refused to step his foot there. Shaka prefers to stay on his stool while reading the textbook that will wait for him after the break. When Bobi steps out of the classroom, they are shocked by Sherly's arrival. Sherly comes to Shaka after he first greets Bobi who immediately stares. Tumben Sherly came to their class, but it's been three months, Sherly never came back to her class, Bobi thought.

The dumbstruck Bobi finally turned his body and immediately disengaged his intention to go to the cafeteria. She followed Sherly and sat down next to Shaka to look at Sherly sitting in front of them. Shaka just laughed while shaking his head at Bobi's behavior. While Sherly was just careless to see Bobi who tried to tease him.

The three of them then chatted while laughing. Sometimes Bobi tries to tease and bully Sherly. But Sherly is too strong to fall for Bobi's fight. Even Sherly likes to throw her beautiful smile at Shaka, which automatically makes Bobi smile wryly. Sherly returns to her class when the class bell rings.

"You're so lucky, Shak. Liked two girls." - Bobi grumbled.

"What is the secret? Feelings still my handsome?" bobi said that made Shaka laugh.

Shaka then patted Bobi on the shoulder. He laughed at the babbling and pouting behavior of Bobi because for the umpteenth time he was tainted by Sherly. He understands that Bobi has loved Sherly for a long time. But on the other hand, Shaka also knows that Sherly likes Shaka. Shaka just smiled and did nothing to respond to this situation. Let time answer, Shaka thought.

The school bell has rung. Shaka came to Besty who was waiting for him at the front of his class. Then they headed to the motor park and left the school area.

After quite a distance through the school gate, Besty wrapped her hands in Shaka's stomach. Then he put his face on Shaka's back. It was as if he was trying to lean on the burden that was inside him. Shaka smiled and realized this. Then Shaka turned his rearview mirror and saw Besty through the rearview mirror of his motorcycle.

"Why, gorgeous? Is there a problem?" ask Shaka.

"Engga." answered Besty flatly.

"I know there must be something stuck in your mind" Shaka said.

"Whatever your problem is, you're not alone." continued Shaka.

" Because I'm always there for you" Shaka continued.

" If you don't want to tell a story, that's okay. Because I'm sure you're the best girl who can handle all your problems" she concluded.

Besty was speechless at Shaka's words. Then he said as he continued to stick his face on Shaka's back.

"My mom called me at break time. Maybe if you hang out today, tomorrow mama will come to Malang" said Besty.

"Continue..?" ask Shaka

"Said mama will be here with Hendra and his family." replied Besty.

Shaka fell silent as Besty mentioned Hendra's name. He felt jealous because Hendra was going to meet Besty. But the tightness in his chest that he held so that he did not provoke emotions and later even make him and Besty so quarrel.

He breathed and then bit his lips. He tried to be calm so that Besty felt comfortable telling him.

"How much will it go..?" shaka asked full of search.

"The problem is Hendra invites his family to apologize for his past actions" said Besty.

"I'm going to be good with Om Wijaya, Hendra's papa. If I hadn't met Hendra. I have known him well since childhood" he added

" Mama told me she wanted to turn me back on." she continued.

Shaka was shocked to hear Besty's words. His heart ached burning flames of jealousy. But he still tried to be patient and returned to calm hearing the story of Besty. He tried to imagine what would happen if Hendra and his family came to see Besty. Is Besty gonna melt her heart? Is Besty gonna take Hendra back? Will Besty be proposed by Hendra's family? And did they have to break up because of Hendra? Shaka's mind drifted in an indeterminate direction. Then his reverie was scattered by Besty's call.

"Shak...., Shak...., Shak.....?" call Besty.

"Iyyyyaa, why?" shaka replied stammered.

"Why you?" besty asked as she straightened her head to look at Shaka from behind.

"That's nothing." said Shaka.

"Why do you dream?" besty.

"There is, just think of you later" replied Shaka.

"You must be jealous, huh?" besty Goda.

"I'm not jealous, I just don't want to see another guy who makes you laugh happily" Shaka said.

"So really..?" seductive Besty with a smile.

"Yes, really." replied Shaka.

"It's worth it that I'm jealous, because to me getting you is the only special thing in my life" she continued.

Besty smiled broadly at Shaka's poetic words. He clasped his body and tightened his embrace.

"You know what makes me like you more" asked Besty.

"Engga." Shaka answered briefly.

"You're very gentle, Shak. There are always times when I need you" Besty said.

" You always make me laugh and feel comfortable when you're around me" she continued.

Shaka smiled at Besty's words.

"Beautiful, I won't be able to stop by? I have business to do." said Shaka.

"Is there a problem, Shak?" asked Besty with worry.

"That's just an old problem that I have to solve" Shaka said.

"With fighting, right?" search Besty.

"That's beautiful" said Shaka smiling.

Didn't feel they arrived at the housing complex Besty's house. Arriving in front of Besty's house, they both got off the bike. Shaka then removed the helmet on Besty's head. Besty just looked at the guy she liked with sparkling eyes. Besty really likes all forms of Shaka's attention to him, even if it is a trivial or small thing.

Realizing this, Shaka looked back at Besty's face while saying.

"Why, gorgeous?" said Shaka.

"Think. I'm just worried about you" Besty said, covering up her heart.

"I should be worried because you're going to meet Hendra" Shaka said as he put Besty's helmet on the vest hanger.

"Don't worry, I told my mom I already had a boyfriend" Besty said.

" How did he react?" shaka asked full of search.

"You know what you want to know bangetttt?" seductive Besty while laughing because he was happy to have succeeded in reversing the words that had been said to Besty when Besty was curious about something.

Shaka laughed at Besty's question. Then he sighed and then said :

"Yes, you want to know bangett-bangettttt" said Shaka.

Besty was silent with a smile. Then he said while looking into Shaka's eyes :

"Mom wants to meet his beautiful son's girlfriend" she said."

"Haahhh." said Shaka in shock.

Shaka was surprised to hear Besty's words. He did not expect his mother Besty to meet him. He doesn't know what to do. But his surprise grew when Besty approached him and kissed him on the cheek.
