Episode 32

Elsewhere, Reiga came to the estate by late afternoon. He did not come to see the work of his people, but to meet Sapto, the father of Carnations.

Reiga saw Sapto was busy transporting tea leaves that had been packed in sacks to a truck that was waiting in a special place. The old man carried the sack with his strength that was not too strong.

"Excuse me" Reiga said politely. He smiled a little and nodded.

Sapto turned his head, put down the sack he was carrying and looked at Reiga.

"Can we talk to you for a second, sir? There's something I want to say" Reiga said. Sapto fell silent, looked at Reiga for a moment then nodded.

Reiga and Sapto finally find a place and sit down together to talk to each other.

"Before, I apologized for everything that had happened. Forgive me, for I have made Carnations suffer for my selfishness. I don't want to defend myself, I admit all my mistakes and all the sins I've committed."

"For that, I'm sorry, sir. I'm sorry for my sassness in loving your daughter" Reiga said.

The man slowly moved and knelt in front of Sapto.

"Don't, don't be like this" Sapto said. He held onto Reiga's shoulders and again told her to sit next to him.

"Please bless us," Pinta Reiga. "I knew this was all wrong from the beginning. But I want to make it right. I want to fix everything" he continued.

Sapto shook his head, looking at Reiga with a meaningful look.

"I beg you," Reiga said.

"Anyelir is the jewel of our heart, Carnations are everything to us. Carnations were an immeasurable precious treasure. Carnation's happiness is everything. For a father, his daughter is half a life. Are you willing to risk your life like I did?" ask Sapto.

"Nobody can replace a father in his daughter's life, even if I love him as much as the world. I will only try my hardest to make her happy and provide her comfort and security. I promise to make her the happiest woman in the world" Reiga said.

His love for Carnations is no joke. He had gone through a lot for the sake of the girl. Reiga even ignored his father, against customs and norms and fell into a pit of sin. All that for the sake of Carnation, for the sake of the girl who had captured his heart.

"I love Carnations, we love each other. I implore you with great blessing."

"If you are together, you will not only increase suffering. What do people say later?" ask Sapto. "Think of how we feel as parents. Moreover, Carnation will bear the shame of his entire life."

"We have a plan and we've talked about it. We just need our blessing so we can move on and start everything from scratch" Reiga said.

Sapto fell silent, he did not understand the meaning of Reiga's words. Reiga refused to give an explanation. Reiga takes Sapto home and helps the old man finish his job first.

Seruni frowned, he did not understand the purpose and direction of Carnation's conversation. Not yet had time to explain, Reiga came with Sapto.

"How did you come with my father?" ask Anyelir when he sees Reiga coming. Reiga had promised to pick up the girl today.

"I met him at the estate" replied Reiga.

Now, the four of them sat together on a mat that was held on the ground.

"Sir, Mum. Earlier, we apologized. We both agreed to start over and start a new, better life. But, we will not be able to do it without your blessing. Are you willing to bless our relationship and pray for all the good for our happiness?" reiga said calmly but with great emphasis.
