Chp 89: The Modern World

"e- uh? R-River what did you say just now?"

Finley, Riona, Neo, and Yui are left in deep confusion by River's sudden introduction of a man of unknown origin.

Moreover River introduced him as the Dragon God Zetton which made everyone much more confused.

"I told you he was Zetton the Dragon God who had disappeared thousands of years ago, his appearance and aura were indeed much different because I told him to hide it." River said seriously.

But even so they still do not fully believe the words of River that seem strange.

Until in the end Zetton gave off a slight aura of his majesty which made the four people instantly depressed.

"A-I believe!" riona shouted in surrender to the tremendous pressure she experienced as well as the others.

After all, their strength level was far below that of Zetton, who was also a God.

"Mr Zetton, I've missed you for a long time!" said Neo full of haru and hugged Zetton's body.

He was very happy because he was finally able to meet again with a figure that made him able to live life with enthusiasm in person.

Zetton was moved, he then patted Neo's head gently and said, "It looks like you've grown stronger than before."

"Yes that's right, now I have become a True Heavenly Dragon!" the word Neo is proud of having a level of strength or race that is equivalent to Zetton.

"Practice to control your power so that it doesn't get out of control." suggested Zetton.

Neo still does not have a mature nature, he is still easily carried away by emotions and ends up doing something beyond reason.

With his current strength, Zetton is worried that Neo will lose control and end up destroying the world just as he did in the mirror world.

Fortunately, no one knows that....

"But you're so great to be able to rediscover the figure of Zetton who has disappeared for thousands of years, River" Riona said in awe.

River still had not told them if Zetton had been inside him all along, no one knew about it except Neo who knew while inside the Great Dungeon.

After all telling them it wouldn't change anything, so he didn't intend to tell her.

Zetton was well received by River's companions, they had absolutely no need to be formal to him because of their status as River's friends.

And after everyone left to do their respective activities, River called Yui to speak four eyes.

At first Yui was a little confused as to why she was being called, but she realized instantly when River asked a question she could not answer.

"Do you want to go back to your world?"

Yui ponders River's question, initially Yui tries desperately to get back to the world she came from but now she can't bear to leave her best friend who is now especially Neo.

After all, even if Yui returns to her original world, she doubts whether she can get the same kind of affection that she does today.

The girl still remembers how her family behaved so indifferently to her in the car....

Yui bit her lips when she remembered that, she then decided her decision.

"I'm staying here!" said Yui.

"Are you serious about your decision? it's possible that your parents are waiting for your return home." River said, he didn't want to make Yui regret later on because of his reckless decision.

Yui was speechless, to be honest she missed her father, mother, and brother so much but she was still hesitant to part with River and the others.

Seeing Yui's doubts, River took the initiative to offer something that made Yui hopeful.

"What if I take you to your world? You can meet your family first before you really decide where to stay."

"Sure, why not?"

Yui was very pleased with River's offer and without a second thought she accepted it.

River clasped Yui's hand before creating a magic circle beneath them.

"Traveler to Earth's world." murmured River as he closed his eyes.

The magic circle devoured the bodies of the two of them and instantly slid freely in a place called the world passageway, it was a place where every world was connected.

One of the requirements to go to another world is to have to get permission from the world regulator or better known as a God or Goddess.

But River has a way of tricking it so as not to have to meet with the Earth's regulatory figure, River had sent Riona to Earth before so he had managed to trick them.

Eventually, River and Yui arrive safely on Earth, atop a very tall skyscraper.

From up there River can see the scenery of the modern world that is different from the world it came from.

In addition, he could also feel a very striking difference in that world.

"There is no world, and it seems that the humans of this world do not have magic either." murmured River.

He could not imagine how life without magic in this place, yet they had a level of technology that was far more advanced than the world it came from.

"The main and greatest force in this world is technology, they can destroy a country just by sitting at a desk and pressing a few buttons to launch a nuclear bomb" Yui explained.

River was very amazed by Yui's explanation, having come to think of this world as no less powerful than the world of Aquila Phoroneuse17 which has magic as its main power.

At first glance River imagined what would happen if the two worlds were at war with each other, would a witch be able to win against the person sitting at the work table?

That would have been a terrible disaster, so River stopped thinking about it.

"We'd better hurry up and find your parents, do you remember where your house is?" ask River.

"I remember. But we'd better change our appearance before we get down to the crowd of people." Yui suggested.

With their current appearance it might just attract the attention of the people, so they had to change it.

River sharpened his eyes like a microscope to see people passing by on the streets of a very crowded city.

A black Hoodie fashion style, jeans, black Nike shoes, and sunglasses caught River's attention a little.

He instantly changed his clothes as he saw it, and sure enough he was perfectly suited to his more modern appearance.

"I want that one!" yui said pointing at one of the girls who was wearing a blue to knee dress with a blue ribbon in her hair.

"Alright" River said, then changed Yui's appearance to the way she wanted.

Seeing a much prettier Yui in her modern attire made River smile gently.

"Then let's get down!" bring River.

Clasping Yui's hands they immediately teleported down to blend in with the modern city's society.
