SPECIAL CHAPTER— Cracked Relationships

After a journey filled with beautiful scenery of a modern fantasy city, Leyn and his two colleagues finally arrived at a new academy that has been completed.

There Leyn was greeted with respect by many of the people who were tasked with building the academy.

Seeing their happy and proud faces for having completed their task so well made Leyn also smile proudly.

"Thank you very much everyone, without you this city would not have developed this well" Leyn said respectfully.

What Leyn said was not mere nonsense, the city was able to thrive as it is today thanks to the people who worked as that handyman.

All of Leyn's designs and development plans did come from Leyn, but the people who played an important role in realizing Leyn's designs were the people in front of Leyn.

"We are very flattered by your generosity Miss" said the head of development with aplomb.

Getting immediate praise from a great leader like Leyn definitely makes him very happy.

"Then can I go around and look around in person?"

"Sure Miss!"

Leyn, Myra, and June entered the academy's enormous and majestic buildings, perhaps the extent of which was equivalent to the Nethilor academy in the ruined capital of the Victorian kingdom.

"The bigger it gets, the better it gets, I'm sure just looking at an image of yourself will foster a high loyalty attitude to the students!" june replied with sparkling eyes.

Leyn could only let out a long sigh, after all he could not take off the already painstaking picture on display, so Leyn did not want to think too much about it while it did not harm her.

A little while later Leyn, Myra, and June finally came out of the academy after being satisfied to look through the interior.

"B-what about our work Miss?" asked the head of development a little nervously, afraid if it did not match Leyn's expectations.

"Everything is perfect, you can take a leave of absence for the next few months and get a salary bonus from the usual as a form of my thanks to you" Leyn replied with a gentle smile.

""Thank you very much Miss!"" say all members of the development simultaneously.

On the same day Leyn and the others immediately made the inauguration of the new academy which is now named Khisfire Academy.

Several public figures were invited to the inauguration before newspaper leaflets were distributed to the public.

The leaflet contains about the entrance requirements of the Khisfire academy, which must be over 10 years old.

Khisfire Academy itself not only accepts students with fighting abilities like the academy in general, but also accepts students who cannot even fight and educate them as well as students in general.

The main purpose of the Khisfire academy was not only to create a superior army, but also to educate the nation.

The parents were very happy with the delivery of the newspaper leaflets that were distributed, they will be happy to register their children to Khisfire Academy because the cost of registering is arguably cheap.

"So you want to leave your responsibilities as heir to our farm?" ask his father with his eyes.

Harley knew very well that the Addeson family had been a farming family for generations, but that did not mean he also had to be a farmer because he was free to make his life choices.

"Sorry dad. .. I don't think I can inherit the Addeson family farm..."

Hearing that sentence from the youngest son who was previously very obedient made the father very furious.

He then took a rattan not far from where he stood, intending to punish his son harshly.

Harley was silent when her father approached her with a rattan, this was not the first time she had experienced this so she would accept it and make her father content to beat her.

Then with that it was possible that his father would change his mind about him wanting to enter the Khisfire academy.

Rattan was swung onto Harley's small body, but before it hit her a scream was heard from her mother.

"Stop!"

Harley turned her gaze and found her mother who had just entered the house while carrying a small basket filled with vegetables.

Harley's mother drops her basket on the floor and walks and stands before Harley, intending to separate her son from her abusive husband.

"That's enough, I'm sick of your behavior! All this time I've been trying hard to be patient with your behavior getting worse and worse, but not this time ...we're going to leave this house!" mother Harley shouted, making the father stunned.

"Son ... pack your things.." continued the mother speaking to Harley who was behind her.

Seeing the seriousness of his mother's heart, Harley did not want to ask a second time and immediately rushed to pack his and her mother's belongings.

Shortly after Harley came out with two large bags, her mother carrying one and intending to leave that day.

But before she actually left the residence, she slightly glanced at her still-stunned husband and said, "May your day be pleasant without us..."

The two of them then left the middle-aged man with that disheveled appearance without looking back again.

His facial expression looked extremely gloomy, with a faint gaze he looked around him filled with bottles of liquor strewn about.

His body felt very weak, slowly he began to kneel and sit limp by leaning against the wall that felt empty without his family....

Night had arrived, Leyn who had just undergone damning days like before was sitting pensively on the balcony of his room while staring at the moon that was not the same shape as before again.
