THE DRAGON CHAIN EMPEROR

THE DRAGON CHAIN EMPEROR
SPECIAL CHAPTER — A Brother's Dispute

Endless wars, skies mute, prolonged suffering, the land where the people stand has been scorched, the smell of war is always smelled in every corner of the region.

Death is the best option for those who are fed up with a cruel world. However, the struggle for life and self-esteem inflames the fires of war even though death waits at the end of the road.

Under a stretch of arid plains, two gender-different people faced each other. One of the middle burly men bent his knees while bowing his head in front of a beautiful and graceful girl with his right hand holding a rifle.

The girl looked at the man in front of her with a roaring haru in her mind.

"Miss Leyn, I will continue to follow in your footsteps, becoming your sword and your loyal follower until the end of life."

The words the man spoke made Leyn's feelings tremble even more.

A smooth roaring wind on Leyn's tiny cheeks. A moment of silence hugged the plains that had been arid because of the war as their place of footing.

Leyn has not said a word since she met the man who was seriously injured on his way back to the camp.

And now he was directly kneeling under his feet.

"You have devoted yourself to this land, General Edward" Leyn said. The intonation of his voice was very flat, although his heart ached when he had to lose his comrades for months.

Sick half-dead physically whack Edward when his mouth again spewing blood.

Moisten the wasteland that became the place where he rested.

But he remained in his position even though the sweat pours profusely from his temple. Resisting the excruciating pain in front of his role model.

"You are the most loyal to me, but you can't keep following me when your time comes. Rest in peace. You are part of the Lumise hero, as well as my warrior, so be proud, General Edward." said Leyn calmly.

A weak smile was finally engraved on the lips of Edward whose helmet had been torn off somewhere, adorning the hard but paled face.

"I'm so glad to hear it directly from you."

Slowly her eyelids closed as the muscles of the body weakened. Leyn's clasped finger grip on his rifle moved a little hardened when he heard the sound of the soldier's body falling. Fall is a war hero.

The sacrifice and struggle of everyone on his part made the thick fog not only experienced by the sky, Leyn's heart was also as cloudy as the weather today.

Leyn hated defeat, but as a leader, he hated it more if his soldiers were killed in their duties than those killed this time were his closest people.

Leyn was neither angry, nor sad, the consequences of war were indeed a death and surely it would be his too...

A drop of water fell on Leyn's cheek. It was not Leyn's cry but the cry of the sky that dripped rain as if saddened by the departure of the hero to so many times.

Amidst the growing drizzle, Leyn faintly caught the sound of rapid movement from across his left and right.

The black shadows numbering more than two were darting very fast, piercing through the rain, until it landed perfectly in front of Leyn.

Leyn stared at the face of a handsome silver-armored man before her lazily, "I thought it was you who killed my soldier, Leon." he said.

"This is a war, from the beginning killing is a natural thing." Leon replied casually.

"Then killing one's own siblings is also considered natural in warfare."

Leyn tightens his grasp, preparing to avenge Edward's death to someone he considers a traitor.

...

* TRANGG!! *

Leyn was pushed back as he fended off the attack with his small rifle, He was silent and calm. One, two, four, six, and .., seven!

"Leyn, surrender, so peace will be realized because His Majesty the King will stop continuing the war that has been going on for months!"

Leon said as he stood leading the six soldiers to ignore the torrential rain that flushed across the surface of the ground and their bodies.

"Tch! Then don't blame me if you get hurt!" proud light.

Leon's pitch-black sliced eyes saw how Axelia reacted there. Expecting the brutal attack of the woman.

"What do you really want?" leyn asked furiously which made Leon a little disappointed because it failed to make the girl angry.

"Kill you." One word was thrown short emotionlessly from Leon as if to assume that the girl in front of him had never had a blood relationship with him.

"Just try if you can do it." challenge the haughty Leyn while turning her magic shotgun into two little daggers.

Then, simultaneously they shot forward, clashing weapons in the air for a while.

Like a flash of light their movement when attacking in the air so as to make the form of both barely legible by the naked eye. The only visible two shadows collide quickly.

The loud clash of their weapons accompanied the fight for a few seconds in the air.

Shortly after, Leyn landed again with Leon.

The first balanced fight took Leon by surprise. However, he had yet to expend half the strength to bow Leyn before him.

"Silver's Barrier!" leon shouted that immediately gave rise to a transparent silver wall that formed a square enclosing him, Leyn, including the six Leon soldiers.

...

"The fire has been raging for months, what are you going to do Harley?"

"... I don't know, master, Brother Leyn and mother forbid me to interfere in the war."

Harley answered the question posed by her Master with some hesitation.

Several months of war had already passed and he had absolutely no contribution whatsoever in that war.

Leyn forbade the students of the Khisfire academy to interfere in the war, they were only told to be on standby in the city to help heal the wounded soldiers and as a final defense such as the enemy attacking directly into the city.

Leyn had a high patriotism, he was not willing to be told to remain silent in the city as others fought desperately to defend the city.

Moreover, the enemy they were fighting made Harley very confused.

"Is it true that our enemy is Leon's brother?"

"That's how the news went widely."

The master's answer in all white appearance made Harley feel worried between fighting or silence.

Harley and Leon are very close because they have a lot in common, they know Leon very well and never thought that someone as good as him would be a war opener.

"I don't believe this." Harley muttered reminiscing about his friendship with Leon.

"You hear something interesting?"

"What's that?"

The white-looking woman managed to make Harley curious, she turned to look at Harley as if looking at him seriously behind her white mask.

"Leon is a good person, so good he is often naive and very easily influenced by others."

"Do you mean Master Leon is only used?" cut Harley guessing what his master said.

"Most likely like that."

"Then we have to resuscitate him before Brother Leon and Brother Leyn kill each other!" harley is determined.
