Chp 72: The Moon Altar

5 months later.

"I think only here can I accompany you" General Devon told River and others.

He was the same person as the one who drove them to meet Demon King Clarion before, and was Clarion's confidant.

"No problem, thanks to you too we can overcome all the obstacles that stand in our way" River said sincerely.

River and the others had arrived at Dark Mountain in just 5 months thanks to riding his Griffin.

If there was no him maybe they would have reached this place taking up to many years.

During these 5 months there have been many events that they experienced, ranging from extreme weather to the emergence of powerful enemies that block their path.

After finding out more about it, the enemies they faced during the journey turned out to be subordinates of Demon Ancestor Simon who also had the nickname of the Puppet King.

That was because Demon Ancestor Simon had many strong people under him. He is a cunning and manipulative person fond of using someone.

But all the powerful people that Demon Ancestor Simon sent to them could they overcome with some extra effort.

"You can walk straight from here to find the moon portal that will take you to the moon, there you will find the Dark Gods empire."

"And one more thing, could you tell your comrade who is always watching us in the sky to come down?" devon continued while looking up at the dark sky.

Neo descended from the sky and landed right in front of Devon.

"So you knew where I was from the beginning, huh? It's not bad for an ordinary Devil's size either." said Neo valiantly.

Devon was still staring at Neo with his flat face, "Hm, Star Dragon huh?"

"Why indeed?"

Dark Mountain or dark mountain range, as the name suggests this is a very dark mountain range and never reached by sunlight.

The ground and the rocks they were exposed to were dark, as well as all the dry trees around them.

All the light they put out here would have no effect including Finley's light magic as if this place was devoted to darkness.

The monsters that appeared to attack them were just ordinary Undead-type monsters, but they immediately lowered their bodies when they saw the figure of Raymond whose incident was the Undead King.

So in this place Raymond gained quite a lot of Undead troops...

"Well, how much more we will walk." said Finley complained that they had walked long enough in this low-light place.

"Don't complain and speed up your pace." replied Riona who was still fit.

The nature of the two of them had still not changed even after they had all gone on an adventure together for a very long time...

"Stop talking nonsense, just look at that human child who is still very cheerful" Neo said entering the conversation as he pointed towards Yui who was being carried on Raymond's back.

"He hasn't even moved his legs since we left the Underland Kingdom." riona was annoyed.

"She's a child, don't equate with your grandmother's policy." Finley replied insinuating Riona's age.

"Have stopped that, I can feel that we're close to the moon portal" River said.

After walking for a while they finally arrived at a full moon-shaped altar with five temple buildings on each side.

"Is this the moon portal?" ask Finley.

"It looks like this is indeed a moon portal but it has not been active" Raymond said.

"So how do we activate it?" ask Finley again.

Everyone fell silent because indeed no one knew how to activate the portal, even this was the first time they had all been in this place.

"Ray, put Yui down" Yui said suddenly breaking the silence.

Raymond lowered Yui from her back, the girl then slightly ran into the middle of the altar last month crouching down to clear the dust in the middle of that altar.

Soon Riona spoke, "Maybe she knows how to activate the moon portal!"

"So you're saying Yui's been through the moon portal?" river said cut Finley's words.

River again saw Yui who was still cleaning the dust on the moon altar until it was finally finished, there turned out to be a star symbol previously covered by dust before.

"What does this mean Yui?" ask Finley.

"We need light, to activate this portal" Yui replied.

"That's impossible isn't it? We can't even make light in this place." Riona replied.

Yet Yui still insisted if we could make light in this place.

He pointed towards the sky above, precisely at the red moon that was in the dark sky.

"We can use that light" Yui said.

He was clever enough for a child his age, but it was still impossible to use moonlight. I mean the moonlight didn't even reach where we were - River thought.

But River realized something while observing the star symbol in the middle of the moon altar.

Isn't that the same symbol as the one on Neo's forehead? - Inner River.

"Neo come here." call him.

Neo nodded obediently, he then approached River, River then told the little Dragon to take a closer look at the star symbol on the altar.

And when he was near, the star symbol on the moon altar suddenly shone along with the star symbol on Neo's forehead.

"Hebattt.." murmured Neo amazed.

"Neo, try to fly into the sky until you touch the moonlight" River said.

"All right!"

Eagerly, Neo then shot up into the sky until he reached the reach of the moonlight.

Simultaneously the star symbol on Neo's forehead absorbed the moonlight and then reflected it towards the star symbol on the moon altar.

Shortly after that the five temples on each side of the star altar also shone brightly and reflected light with the star symbol.

""The portal is active!"" riona and Finley said at the same time.

They were all right in the middle of the star altar that was glowing brightly in the middle of the dark Dark Mountain.

With their bodies shrouded in moonlight, the six of them were instantly transferred directly to the moon.

Meanwhile in the Dark Gods empire, there was a middle-aged man sitting on his throne with an expression full of worry.

He turned his gaze towards a short man dressed in a creepy clown with an annoyed face.

"Somon! What the hell is with all the subordinates you sent to kill the Dark God's heir?! They could all be killed by that bunch of boys so easily, you useless bastard!" growled the man.

"... This was beyond my expectations, I did not expect Demon Ancestor Clayman to interfere in my affairs." muttered Simon with a shivering body.

The man was confused and a little surprised by Simon's reaction, which he saw for the first time, "What do you mean, Simon? I don't see any Demon Ancestor Clayman with those boys."

Xander was a substitute for the Dark God, arguably a false God or pseudo-God.

Unlike the other Gods and Goddesses who had many restrictions and restricted freedoms, Xander had absolute freedom because he was not the original God.

Even so Xander still lost far when compared to the power of the Gods and Goddesses.
