38. Arrive Time

Finally Spring was able to breathe with relief at Winter's decision to remain at the resort until Spring's birthday was over. Although he can breathe a sigh of relief, it does not mean Spring can feel calm. He didn't feel calm after Skylar couldn't stop suspecting him.

Skylar's suspicions are true, Spring has feelings for Winter. And how stupid Spring was, he could have repeatedly lied to Skylar, toyed with Skylar's feelings, to make Skylar his place for revenge against Winter.

She was crying alone in her room while hugging her knees. Repeatedly he self-injured, he could play a good man like Skylar. Spring wanted to be honest, but he was too afraid that Skylar would be disappointed and angry with him.

Spring wants to love and be happy with Skylar the way Winter wants. But his heart is too heavy to move to another heart. His heart remained firmly fixed on Winter even though Spring had tried hard to divert him.

Before long she cried, Skylar came with a birthday cake. He smiled as he approached Spring, singing a sacred song to the woman who was getting older.

After Skylar stopped singing birthday songs, Spring instead of blowing out the candles he didn't stop crying.

"I'm sorry I let you down and hurt. I'm so sorry I made you cry" Skylar said, wiping away the tears on Spring's face.

Spring shook his head quickly. "You're innocent. I should be the one apologizing for fooling and playing with your feelings. A woman like me doesn't deserve good treatment from you, Sky."

As if he had breastfed and accepted reality, there was no disappointment in Skylar's face. He smiled as if to cover his sadness. "You're innocent but I'm the one who's stupid. Even though I know you like other men, I still force you to accept my love."

"Do you know who I like?" ask Spring with a soft look.

Skylar assented with a nod. "I suspect Winter as the man you've liked all along. After Jinny told me about it, I knew that my suspicions had been true."

"I'm sorry I couldn't love as sincerely as you. I don't want to hurt you too long, so we'd better end our relationship." Spring broke down in front of Skylar. Although it was too hard to tell the truth, at least he did not lie to Skylar for too long.

Skylar smiled with his eyes inundated. He momentarily put the cake in his hold, then hugged Spring's body tightly. "I accept it if you want to end our relationship, but I hope you want to be good friends with me and not stay away from me even if you feel guilty about me."

"Of course I'll be friends with you and never stay away from you."

Skylar took off his embrace, then took back the cake he had placed on the table. "At 12 o'clock the night is coming to an end, you must hurry up and blow the candles."

Spring happily blew out the candle. "Thank you for giving me the perfect cake."

"It's not much, tomorrow me and all the friends will give you another surprise."

"For me just like this it looks perfect." Spring smiled sweetly looking at Skylar with her puffy eyes.

The next morning after Spring came out of his room, he did not find Winter gathered with all his friends.

"Where's Winter?" ask Spring to Jinny.

"So early in the morning, he came home and hurried."

Spring panicked immediately after hearing what Jinny said. "Why don't you prevent. He shouldn't be coming home now."

"I couldn't stop him, and he came home because there was something important he couldn't get through."

Then suddenly the ringing message on Spring's phone rang. Just in her previous life, Winter asks Spring to wait for her under the cherry blossom tree in front of her family's villa.

Spring rushed back to his room and hurriedly packed all his belongings.

"Do you want to go home now?" ask the Skylar wonder.

"Yes, I'm going home now."

"I have to see Winter immediately, now that she's in danger" Spring replied with a face full of concern for Winter.

"Then I'll take you to Winter."

Skylar goes to deliver Spring. Skylar drove his car at full speed, so it didn't take long to drive Spring to Winter's house. Skylar only takes an hour to get there.

Spring's birthday is a day of departure for his two best friends. Winter's gone for good, and Lucy's gone with no news. According to police, Winter's death was estimated at 13:00. It's still 09:00, there's still time for Spring to go see Lucy before Lucy leaves Chicago.

"Could turn around, take me to Lucy's house."

Skylar furrowed his brows. "Aren't you supposed to see Winter soon."

"There's still a few hours left to see Winter. I need to see Lucy first."

Skylar turns his car around, then rushes Spring to Lucy's house. Skylar still drives his car at full speed, so to get to his house Lucy only takes 15 minutes.

Upon arriving there, Lucy and her parents were busy stuffing the suitcase into the trunk of the car.

Spring quickly grabbed Lucy's hand. "Can we talk for a minute."

Lucy immediately threw Spring's hand out of her hand. "I don't want to talk to you, I'm busy, I don't have time to talk to you.

Spring took his hand. "I'm sorry, aunt, uncle, can I talk to Lucy for a minute" she told both of Lucy's parents.

"Hm of course," replied Lucy's mother.

Spring pulls Lucy to keep her away from her parents. After Lucy's distance is quite far with both parents, Spring immediately bent his knees in front of Lucy.

"I'm sorry for making you angry and disappointed. I want our relationship to be back to how it was."

Lucy sighed harshly. "Our relationship is not going to go back to how it was. Now that you've been busy with Skylar and I'm going all the way out of Chicago, neither I nor you will be able to take the time to be together again."

"Can't we exchange news. Maybe I'll try to see you on school holidays."

"You know, when I'm so upset and angry with you. Ever since you've been busy with your own life, I don't want to be friends with you anymore."

Spring immediately shed her tears. "I'll be honest. I'm forced to care more about Winter than you, it's because of Winter's psychic state. Right now what Winter needs is the closest person to him, me."

"Psychic state? If you really care about Winter, then why did you stay away yesterday. And even you spend more time with Skylar."

"Skylar is just my reason for Winter to confess her feelings. However, in fact until the end of Winter can not admit his feelings. I was a fool, to have kept both of my most precious people away from my life." Spring's cry just broke out in front of Lucy. "Now that I don't have time, Winter is in danger. So please forgive me immediately, so that I can see him soon."

Lucy immediately furrowed her eyebrows, she looked at the astonished woman who was kneeling before her. "What do you mean in danger?"

"Today Winter plans to end her life, before I go to see her, I have to get an apology from you first."

Lucy quickly helps Spring up. "Bas stupid, you should have rushed to see him instead of to see me."

"But you're as valuable as Winter."

Lucy sigh. "We need to get to him before he ends his life."

Although Lucy should have left immediately with her parents, she could not remain silent after hearing what Spring said. He goes with Spring and Skylar to the man's house, which will end his life today.
