The Back To 2012

The Back To 2012
20. Suspicious

Spring was so agitated at the thought of Winter, he could not stop worrying about her. Unable to sleep well and not a little Spring can run from his curiosity. Winter is very difficult to contact. Every time Spring called her, Winter didn't want to pick her up. Even sending messages was not answered by him. The only way to treat Spring's worry and curiosity is to go see Winter at her uncle's house. By looking at it directly, Spring will probably know about Winter's condition there.

The next morning Spring was preparing to go to see Winter at her uncle's house. Dress neatly and wake up in the morning during school holidays, raises questions for his mother. Because usually Spring will wake up during the day when on holiday. What else Spring will go while carrying some food that he has prepared after waking up in the morning.

"Your clothes are so neat, where are you going to carry so many boxes?" ask Tessa.

"I'm gonna go see Winter at Uncle Edward's house."

Suddenly James came to his wife and daughter.

"Why did you go see him? On holidays you should be busy learning instead of doing a lot of useless things. Soon you'll be doing the test" James said.

"I'll learn after I get home from there." Spring hurried before her father held her back to leave. "I'm leaving now, sorry I can't keep my dad's request."

James shook his head while sighing after seeing the behavior of his only puppet princess who did not want to obey his orders.

Once at Uncle Edward's house, Spring just pressed the bell button next to the door. As Spring pressed the bell button, his wife Edward, Kate, came to open the door.

"Hm, aren't you Winter's friend" Kate said, recalling Spring in her memory. "You're Spring?"

Spring gave her a sweet smile. "Yes, I'm Winter's friend Spring."

"Then you go in first, I'll call Winter in his room."

Spring came in and sat down in the living room. In less than three minutes, Winter came to Spring. His face was still as pale as yesterday, Winter came with a flat look on his face, which seemed to be annoyed by the presence of Spring in his uncle's house.

"So what did you come here for?" winter asked as she sat on the sofa next to where Spring was sitting.

Spring smiled as he placed the bag containing the dining box on the table. "I just want to deliver this. Hm, why didn't you pick up the phone from me last night?"

"I'm focused on learning, there's no time to pick up the phone from you, sorry Spring."

"Is that really why you didn't pick up the phone from me."

"Of course," Winter briefly replied without staring.

Spring let out his rough breath. "I'm not sure if that's your reason for not picking up the phone from me. Is there something you're hiding from me?"

Winter gave a rough sigh. "Have I ever hidden anything from you. Everything about me, everything you know. There's nothing I'm hiding from you, Spring."

"Then why are you always angry whenever I ask about your condition, and will be angry if I force to take you to go check your condition to the doctor."

"I'm angry because you're worrying too much about me. I'm fine, but you keep forcing me to go to the doctor."

"No, you're not okay. You get sick too often. And what are you staying at Uncle Edward's house for? Even though if the pain is mild, you will be able to withstand it, and will recover if you have taken medicine. It would even be strong to go to school, when it's just plain sick."

"At Uncle Edward's house I can find peace. When my parents see me sick, they'll notice me." Winter. "They'll be offending each other right away if they find out I'm sick."

Winter immediately stood up with his angry look. "What are you doing, Spring?" he said raise the voice.

"I have to ask them, because only they know about your true condition."

"I'm fine, I'm just plain sick. So you better get out of here now" said Winter, who still raised her voice.

"I don't believe you." Edward and Kate approach Spring and Winter in the living room, and Spring quickly questions them. "What pain is Winter suffering?"

"I'm just a normal fever, why can't you believe what I'm saying" Winter said.

"I can't believe it, because every word you say makes me hesitate to believe it."

"If you don't believe me, you better get out of here now" Winter snapped, pointing at the door.

"I won't leave until Uncle Edward and Aunt Kate answer."

"Hm, sorry Spring, if you don't want to make Winter angry, you better go, and let Winter calm down first" Edward said.

"But I can't leave until I get a definite answer."

Winter forcibly pulls Spring's hand and takes him out of the house. "You've got the answer." Winter came back in and shut the door.

Spring cried for a moment while staring at the closed door of the house. "Are you that angry with me. I'm just worried about you, Winter."

Winter never opens the door for Spring, though Spring cries in front of the house. Until making Spring had to leave, because too long he waited for Winter in front of the house. Spring left with both of his eyes unceasingly spitting out a water droplet.

Until Spring walked, suddenly Skylar came while stopping his motorbike beside Spring. Then rushed down with a panicked look.

"Spring, why are you crying?" skylar asked as he held onto Spring's arms.

The crying spring broke instantly. "Winter... Winter," he said, powerless to say anything to Skylar.

Skylar quickly hugged Spring's body tightly, making Spring's cry even more broken in his arms.

"Cry as much, when you are satisfied, tell me everything. About what made you cry."

Skylar continued to gently pat Spring's back, so that the crying woman in his arms could be much calmer. Until a moment Spring stopped from crying, he released himself from Skylar's embrace.

"Can you take me home."

"Of course I'm willing to take you home, but after you tell me about what made you cry."

"If you're not willing to take me, I'll go home by myself." Spring hurried to step his foot.

Skylar quickly grabbed onto Spring's hand, in order to immediately stop the move. "All right, I'll take you home.
