17. That Sucks Jack

Spring lost the spirit of hope that was very difficult in his reach. How hard Spring tried, Winter still did not want to open the door of her heart to Spring. Never mind for Spring, for any other woman Winter is hard to open her heart. Many women have come near, no one can melt his heart. Even Spring, who is willing to change her appearance, is still one level with other women, who failed to melt Winter's heart.

When the break arrived, Spring was still in a fit of annoyance. Loss of spirit makes his appetite also lost. Spoons and forks he played on his food, without going to devour any food.

"Just because Winter still hasn't opened her heart to you, doesn't mean you should just give up. Your chance is still there as long as Winter doesn't belong to another woman" Lucy said.

Spring sigh. "It's too cold for me to warm up. He'll never be able to have feelings for me."

"Are you sure Winter doesn't have any feelings for you. All those years you've been friends with her, where she probably didn't have feelings for you. If she doesn't have feelings for you, she may already have a boyfriend. Because many beautiful women have approached, but everything is rejected by him. Even as beautiful as Jinny was, she resisted many times."

"I made sure Winter didn't have feelings for me. He rejects all women, because he does not want to have a special relationship with any woman. Because he's too afraid that his relationship will fall apart like his father and mother. For him falling in love is just a waste of time."

"Then, are you just going to give up. Jinny who has been rejected many times is still trying to get close to Winter. But you the woman closest to him should just give up."

"So, right now all that matters to me is to make time for Winter. I have to keep him alive."

Lucy furrowed her brows. "What do you mean to make him survive?"

Spring swallowed his salivary. "You know if Winter's mental health is compromised. He could've taken his life, if he was too depressed over the problems at his house."

"Hm, it's true you need to spend a lot of time for Winter. But that doesn't mean you have to keep fighting with your feelings. As a friend, I just keep hoping that you don't give up just like that to open the door to her heart."

In the middle of Spring and Lucy's conversation, Jinny suddenly comes over. With bonuses Jack and his friends also come to approach Spring.

"I was very curious about the woman who today many people talk about her new appearance" Jinny said with a look of disgust.

The arrival of Jinny and Jack has really made Spring feel uncomfortable. Even his appetite is getting lost, compared to when Jinny and Jack are not around.

Spring immediately put his spoon and fork over his place of eating. "I think I'm full." Then stand up while carrying his food tray.

As Jack pulls Spring's arm, Spring has to sit back. "Why should I go now. Didn't you tell me this morning to get closer to you, so you'd want to date me."

Spring gave a rough sigh. "I never told you to get close to me. I'm just saying, if I can't date a guy I've never been close to."

"That's the same, you've given me hope."

Jinny chuckled while tilting his smile. "Just accept Jack as your date, so Winter can date me. If you date Jack, he'll protect you. You guys are so compatible, it's appropriate to have a special relationship."

Not only Spring was upset, but Lucy was also followed by upset with the attitude of Jinny and Jack. Especially with Jack making Spring unable to leave his desk.

"Do you think that if Spring were to date Jack, Winter would date you. Don't expect you to date Winter if your attitude has upset her best friend" Lucy told Jinny, then turned to look at Jack. "Especially for you Jack, you can't force people to date you. Your annoying attitude won't make Spring turn to like you, it'll just hate you."

Jack let out a rough breath, then grinned at Lucy. "How dare you say that to me." Then Jack quickly floated his hand towards Lucy's Face, making Spring reflex to hold Jack's hand.

"Stop Jack! Don't hurt my friend."

"Why are you preventing me? I need to slap him so he knows himself" Jack said.

"She's a girl, but you dare to slap women in front of a lot of people. Are you shameless" said Spring in a furious tone.

"I would be very brave, if it were my friend."

Then suddenly Winter arrives, and she quickly pulls Spring to keep him away from Jack. "Don't I just say, don't ever bother him. Are you deaf to the point of forgetting my words."

"You call me deaf?" Jack immediately pulled the neck of Winter's shirt. "How dare you say that to me."

Everyone in the cafeteria was panicked by Jack's actions, especially with Spring. Spring must again hold Jack's hand, so that Jack does not send his punch to Winter.

"Enough Jack! Don't hurt. I'm sorry I made you mad."

Jack quickly threw out Spring's hand. "I don't want to hear an apology from you. I need to beat him up so he doesn't dare against me anymore."

However, when Jack was about to throw his punch, the bell rang. Until Jack must fail to deliver his punch to Winter.

Cring...

"You're lucky right now, but that doesn't mean I won't beat you up." Jack then stepped away from Winter with his angry look.

Even though Jack is gone, it doesn't mean Spring's panic subsides. He couldn't catch his breath because he was too panicked and worried about Winter.

Spring then grabs Winter's hand. "Are you okay?"

Winter smiled. "I'm so fine, look at me no one's hurt. So you don't have to worry like this."

"I'm so scared, if you get hurt. You shouldn't have come, so Jack wouldn't get angry and threaten you."

"Even if I don't come, you won't be okay." Winter pulled Spring away from the cafeteria. "We'd better get to class, before the teacher comes."

After the school hours ended, Spring's countenance looked anxious. He's so scared that Jack's gonna do bad to Winter. He is a difficult person to forgive. When someone makes him angry, Jack will continue to target him until he feels satisfied.

When Spring and Winter are about to step out of the classroom, Spring immediately stops Winter's steps. "Can we go home with our friends, so that we don't go home together."

"Why do we go home with friends. All of our friends are on different paths with us. What are you worried about, that makes you want to go home with friends."

"I was worried that Jack would come to hurt you. We'd better go somewhere else first with friends."

"You don't have to worry, Spring. If Jack comes, I'll hit him right away" Winter said, holding onto Spring's shoulders.

"But Jack must have come with his friends, you can't fight him alone."

"Trust me, if Jack won't be able to touch you or touch me." Winter clasped Spring's hand tightly, then pulled her out of the classroom.

When they came out of the school building, they didn't find Jack and his friends at all. Spring can finally be relieved because Jack is not there. But that doesn't mean Spring's anxiety can subside, because Jack and his friends will intercept Spring and Winter on the way home. And maybe they're waiting for Spring and Winter somewhere else.
