The Angel of Wounds

The Angel of Wounds
Chapter 6

"Never let go of this hand. Although not always warm you feel. But keep walking by my side."

Hasna awoke from her sleep just as the adhan shubuh reverberated. His breathing was slightly hunting until his heartbeat was out of control.

The voice in his dream just sounded like real. The voice of a man who somehow seems. Only his back and outstretched hands did he remember.

Hasna has normalized her heartbeat. The breath began to be regular. Just because of a dream, his heart was beating.

Even a dream is just a sleeping flower for every sleeping creature. Instantly Nayla's speech rotated in her memory.

"Not to see the picture, Ma'am. I will not even be able to sleep."

Is it true that his dream just now had something to do with seeing the man's picture last night?. Hasna shook her head quickly. Immediately he banished the absurd thoughts of what he had just done.

No way, this is just a sleeping flower. Nothing to do with the photo, her mind.

And immediately his gaze was fixed on a small map above the nightstand.

He stepped foot into the bathroom to prepare to perform his mandatory worship.

Then he took the time to read Allah some sheets. A habit he hardly ever missed as a child.

After finishing with his routine of worship, Hasna immediately went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for the grandfather.

Marni will only cook breakfast if Hasna asks for it. The rest he did himself.

"Mbak Hasna's looking for something." Said one of his restaurant employees, as he had just arrived at the entrance.

"Who?" Ask the woman, because she feels she has no promise to meet anyone.

"Name's Kevin, Ma'am."

"Where is he now?" hasna asked as she spread her gaze around the corner of the restaurant.

"There over there, Ma'am." The female employee pointed at one corner of the restaurant. A man in a navy shirt sits down and plays his cell phone.

"Yes, thank you."

Hasna walked to the table where Kevin was there. It seemed that the young man was unaware of Hasna's presence.

"Assalamualaikum, Mr Kevin." Sapa Hasna's.

Instantly the originally busy look on the mobile screen was perfectly diverted to the beautiful girl.

"Waalaikumsalam" the young man replied with a sweet smile.

"Sorry, has Kevin been waiting a long time?" Hasna felt a little uneasy when she found out Kevin was waiting for her. Especially without prior notice.

"Ah, no. It's only fifteen minutes. I haven't even ordered food." Chuckle at the man.

Hasna waved at one of her employees.

"Can I help you, ma'am?" Ask the officer politely.

"Please get us a special menu at our restaurant, all the drinks are yes." Answer Hasna.

"Good, Ma'am." After that, the officer resigned.

Just because he ordered lunch with a special menu, Kevin felt noticed by Hasna.

"I'm sorry, if I'm presumptuous to choose the menu without asking Mas Kevin first."

Hasna suddenly felt uneasy as Kevin looked at her like that.

"That's okay, just relax. I was flattered to be treated that way." replied Kevin, who was accompanied by a sweet smile.

"You know Hasna, even I expect someday, you will always prepare all my needs." A word that only Kevin can say in his heart.

"That means it's a form of dong's treat." swooned the dimpled young man.

"Yes.take it like that. Yesterday the opening time of the restaurant no representative of Aunt Rosita was present."

"Ah.pardon us, Hasna. We don't mean to forget your invitation. But, yeah....."

"By the way, Congrats over the opening of the restaurant" said Kevin.

"Thank you, yeah."

After chatting for a while, finally the dishes that had been awaited were presented on the table they occupied.

"Hasna, do I have to finish all this food?" Ask Kevin when all the food is on the table.

Because not only one menu is served but there are several menus at once.

"If Kevin can afford to spend it, go ahead."

Kevin reflex exhales which sounds heavy. At once Hasna's laughter broke, when she knew the expression that the young man was showing before her.

For a split second, Kevin watched Hasna who was laughing while covering her mouth with one hand.

"Beautiful." he muttered

"Not to be finished nor papa. It just so happens that I haven't had lunch either" Hasna said after her laughter subsided.

"Come, Mas. Please."

Kevin took the rice and some other complementary menus. As she was about to start feeding food into her mouth, her movements stopped immediately when she saw Hasna holding her hands together with her eyes closed.

Ahhhh shit, why is the little thing Hasna did able to amaze me? Inner man it is.

Quickly he followed what Hasna was doing.

"Bismilahbornrohmanirrohim." he wrote.

Because honestly, he even forgot what prayer to read when going to eat. When he was a child, he was so memorized out of his head, because the prayer was read every day with his friends if going to rest at school.

Silence, only the clinking of spoons and forks were clashing. Both of them really enjoyed the food on their plates.

After a memorable lunch for Kevin, an accidental lunch accompanied by Hasna.

Actually it was so hard to get away from Hasna's restaurant. But there is no good reason to survive. Inevitably the young man had to leave to return to the office.

"Thank you for the banquet. It was a very memorable lunch for me." Kevin said as he said goodbye to Hasna.

"Because accompanied by a woman as beautiful as you Hasna. I hope there is another chance for us. Ahhh.so feel like having a wife like this. Dining served, to the office there deliver up front."

Of course, Kevin was able to express it in his heart.

"Mass?" call Hasna to Kevin who smiles at himself.

"Mas Kevin?" repeat the girl while waving her right hand in front of Kevin.

"Ah... Ja. Then excuse me, and thank you so much." Kevin replied with a smile and turned to his car.

"Assalamu'alaikum." Hasna's speech successfully stopped Kevin's steps.

The man closed his eyes for a moment, condemning his stupidity for forgetting the greeting. Kevin turned around and smiled at Hasna.

"Wa'alaikumussalam" he replied

"Heart on the road." a line of words that can make Kevin's heart overgrown with flowers that bloom.

"Yes, thank you."

The young man turned and headed to his car. Hasna returns to the restaurant, after Kevin's car leaves the restaurant's parking lot.

All the way to the office, Kevin stopped smiling. There were times when the twenty-seven-year-old smiled as he lowered his head with a red hue on both of his cheeks.

Her togetherness with Hasna this afternoon really changed her mood. It's like getting too much energy.

Sometimes his thin lips hummed, sometimes whistling. Like an ABG who has just experienced puberty.

Even in the office lobby, many employees greeted him and replied with a smile that was so sweet. Almost all of them realize there is a radiance of happiness shown by their boss.

Not because Kevin wasn't friendly the day before. He was very friendly with his employees. Only, this time there was something different about their boss. The aura of happiness was so obvious on his handsome face.
