"Rama." Rama turned to the source of the voice calling his name.
"Mama." Rama hugged his mother tightly.
They could see clearly how messed up Rama was. A chaotic appearance was also a face that looked desperate. Their son really looks fragile.
"Where is Hasna?" Ask Papa.
Rama broke his arms with his mother, and stared softly at his father.
"Hasna's still inside, still being handled by the team of doctors." Rama said with a voice that sounded raucous.
"Hasna.pregnant." Continue Rama with a sad eye. Saying that Hasna is pregnant in her current condition is very painful.
"Pregnant?" Mama and Papa say almost simultaneously. Rama nodded his head in response.
Either they should be happy or sad when they hear the news that their son-in-law is pregnant, but in a critical condition like now.
"Then the transfusion?" Ask Papa.
"Rama has asked Ivan for help to find a donor for Hasna. But they haven't arrived yet." Answer Rama.
"Papa's blood type, O. Papa can donate blood for Hasna." Papa.
Rama looked quickly at his father. Why would he forget if his father's blood type was the same as Hasna's?
"Then come on, let's get to the room." Rama took Pak Andi to a room used for blood transfusions.
Mr. Andi screened first, before finally having a blood transfusion. He was only allowed to donate a bag of blood to Hasna.
"If you can, please have another donor. We still need more blood." Nurse.
Rama only nodded lethargicly upon hearing the nurse's words. Hopefully Ivan can be relied upon as always.
"Where, Pa? Uhhuh?" Ask Mama.
"The father is only allowed to donate one bag of blood." Answer Papa.
"Why?"
"Papa's condition is not fit, so it is only allowed to donate one blood bag only. That's Papa Maksa." Papa explained.
"Sorry, my blood type, O. Can I donate my blood?"
Everyone looked at the man standing right behind Rama.
"Son Kevin?" Say Mama.
The middle-aged woman was surprised to find Kevin following them all the way to the front of Hasna's operating room.
"You...?" Rama pointed at Kevin, trying to remember the face of the man before him.
"I'm Hasna's friend. Can I donate my blood?" Kevin repeated the question. Rama and his family gave him permission.
Kevin overhears a conversation between Rama and his parents about Hasna's condition, which requires a blood transfusion as soon as possible.
"Son Kevin?" Miss Diana looked at Kevin with a difficult look.
"Don't we have a lot of time? We better act fast. Hasna's life is at stake." Kevin tried to push them.
"Alright, come with me." Rama. Right what Kevin said, they don't have much time to argue.
Kevin immediately follows Rama into the room for a blood transfusion. Kevin began screening before he was allowed to donate blood. The man was able to breathe a sigh of relief while being able to donate two bags of his blood to Hasna. At least he can help save Hasna through the blood donation he just did.
"Hasna, even though I could never have you. But I'm happy, because from today, my blood will flow through your body. That means, I will always be with you in every stream of your blood. I hope you'll be okay after this. You're the tough girl I've ever known. Be happy Hasna, you have the right to be happy with your husband, your future children."
Kevin stared at the second, almost full blood bag. Without thinking twice, Kevin volunteered as a blood donor for Hasna, after hearing the news that Hasna was critical, especially the woman was pregnant with the fruit of her love with her husband. Although not her who became the source of the happiness of the shady-eyed woman, at least she can be one of the reasons for Hasna can still continue her life. Kevin just hopes that Hasna always felt happiness after the many things that make women feel the difficult times like today. Even now, the woman is struggling not only for her life, but for the life of the future baby in the womb.
"It's done, it's got vitamins, you can drink at night." The nurse closed the transfusion marks on Kevin's hands with a plaster, then gave the man vitamins.
"Thank you."
Kevin immediately came out and found the whole Suryanata family sitting anxiously outside the operating room.
Rama immediately stood up and approached the man who had been willing to donate his blood to his wife. The man looked at Kevin with a difficult look. His worried face Kevin could see clearly.
"thank you. Thank you for donating your blood to my wife. I don't think I can repay your kindness." Rama.
Kevin smiled slightly at Rama's words. The man could see how much Hasna's husband loved his wife.
"You don't have to talk like that. What I do is a form of caring for others. I know your wife well." Kevin smiled at Rama. Rama nodded small.
"Are you old friends?" Ask Rama.
Kevin glanced at Miss Diana, then turned to Rama and smiled.
"You're so lucky to get a woman as good as Hasna." Said Kevin. Rama nodded in agreement to the words of the man before him.
"You're right, I'm so lucky to get a woman as good as my wife." A drop of clear hair broke through the corner of Rama's eyes as the man remembered the thing about his wife.
Cclek
Everyone's attention was on the door that was opened. A doctor was seen coming out from inside.
"How, Doctor? How's my wife doing?" Sergei Rama.
The doctor smiled at Rama and one by one of them who were waiting for Hasna surgery.
"Thank God, the operation was successful. And the patient has passed his critical period." Doctor Say.
"Alhamdulillah." Rama immediately prostrated his gratitude when he heard the news that his wife had passed the critical period.
The relief was clearly reflected on the look on their faces. They unceasingly expressed their gratitude, as Hasna managed to struggle through the critical period.
"Then the content?" Ask Rama.
"Alhamdulillah, the content is also fine. Inside, the obstetrician is still conducting further examinations. Hope the result, everything's good." Doctor Say.
Before long a veiled doctor came out of the operating room.
"Well, here, the gynecologist takes care of the patient." Said the Doctor, introducing his colleague to the family of their patient.
"How is my wife Doctor?" Rama asked impatiently.
"Alhamdulillah, the content is fine. It seems like your child-to-be wants to fight with her mother through her critical period." Said the doctor with a smile.
"Alhamdulillah." They are almost at the same time.
"Thank you Doctor, thank you." Rama rubbed the corner of his wet eyes.
"The patient is still in the observation room, soon to be transferred to the ward." Doctor's talk.
"Then, we'll excuse you." The two doctors left them and continued their work.
Kevin patted Rama's shoulder gently, trying to strengthen the man. Relief emanated clearly on the handsome face of the twenty-seven year old man. The woman who once owned her heart has passed the critical period.
Rama hugged Kevin.
"My wife is safe, thank you very much. You have also helped my wife." Rama.
"Together, Mr. Rama."
The hugs of the two unraveled, the two men smiling at each other. Relieved, that's how they feel now.
"Don't call me Father. Because I'm not that old. I don't think our age is far apart." Rama.
"Then? What should I call? The sister? Or Brother?" Ask Kevin in a joking manner.
"Call Rama, or be as comfortable as he is...?"
"Kevin."
"Ah, yes, Kevin."
"alright...Ramah." Kevin said a little awkwardly.
Miss Diana noticed the interaction of the two men who made Hasna their special woman. Both seem familiar now. If his son knew Kevin was the man who proposed to his wife, would the son be as familiar as Kevin is today?
"Ma, this is Mama's order." Nayla's words managed to make Miss Diana re-conscious from daydreams.
Nayla handed the plastic bag with a minimarket name to the mother, which contained food and drinks. When Rama said that Kevin was allowed to donate blood as much as two bags, Diana asked Nayla to find food and drinks at the minimarket across from the hospital.
"Please give it to Brother Rama." Pinta Mom.
Nayla immediately stepped towards the older sister who was having a close conversation with the man who was behind her.
"Sister Rama, this is Brother's order." Nayla handed over her luggage to her older brother.
"Kevin, this is for you. Think of it as replacing energy after a transfusion." Rama handed the bag to Nayla.
"It seems like this is too much, I won't faint even without bread and milk." Chuckles Kevin. The two men looked more familiar now.
"Thank you." Said Kevin to someone who brought him food to give him.
"You?" Kevin and Nayla said almost simultaneously and pointed at each other.
"You were in the parking lot, right?" Kevin made sure that the girl in front of him was the girl who accidentally hit him in the parking lot earlier.
