The Angel of Wounds

The Angel of Wounds
Chapter 132

As per Tomi's request, Siska went straight to Marissa's nursery on the third floor. The bushy-haired woman opened the door and went inside. The room with two beds was only occupied by Marissa alone. The bed next to him was empty.

Siska approached, and confirmed whether Marissa was resting. That's right, the woman looks very slumbering in her sleep. Siska could not bear to wake her friend.

Siska prefers to sit on the chair that is in there. The woman looked at Marissa who was sleeping.

"Lo why did it go like this anyway, Sa? I see it. You are too ambitious to be a person. Do you realize that all this makes you lose yourself? Lo nyia-nyiain men as good as Tomi, only to get Rama who obviously will not be able to love you. Rama is a married man, and you should realize how much he loves his wife. You know what, Sa? Tomi willingly pleaded with Rama to delay the legal process that ensnared you at this time. Tomi willingly lowered her pride for you. And I'm not sure if Rama would grant Tomi's request. But Tomi will keep fighting for you."

Marissa squirmed a little in her sleep. Slowly the two eyelids that were initially closed began to open. It's even past lunchtime, but there seems to be no sign of Tomi here. Usually the man will remind Marissa to eat on time. But this time, even Marissa missed her lunch hour.

Slowly Marissa positioned to sit on the bed. I think he slept too long. His body feels sore too.

"Siska?" Marissa frowned and looked at her best friend. Since when was she in her room?

"Wake up?" Ask Siska. The woman approached Marissa's bed.

"Old old?" Marissa asked, without answering Siska's question first.

"No, just new."

Siska watched Marissa's movements.

"Is there anything you need?" Ask Siska.

"Gue's thirsty."

Siska took a bottle of mineral water available on the nightstand, then thrust it at Marissa.

"Have you met Tomi?" Marissa closed the bottle again.

"Emm..." Siska shook her head slowly.

"Not yet."

Marissa snorted softly at Siska's reply. Siska didn't meet Tomi, does that mean the man hasn't been back since morning?

"Why? Kangen?" Goda Siska's.

"No." Marissa answered with a sharp tone.

"Don't you really miss?" Siska was still teasing the woman.

"No, I'm not gonna miss him."

"Don't do that. Don't be so confused with Tomi. Ntar son of you like Tomi loh." Kekeh Siska's.

"Gue doesn't care. Want this kid like Tomi or not, I don't care."

Siska exhaled her breath slowly hearing Marissa's words. The woman's heart was completely blinded by her obsession with Rama. Though it is clear there are sincere men like Tomi who want to accept it, with all the shortcomings that women have.

"Sa, it's not good to say that. Anywhere, Tomi is still your husband. The father of the child in lo's womb." Siska tries to remind her of Tomi's status.

"If I could choose, I wouldn't know Tomi. I don't want to get pregnant with her child either. In the breng**k man I've known in my life."

"And the breng**k man, who is now fighting for your fate. Let's hope you realize, Sa. Don't let you regret it later."

"Have you eaten yet?" Tanya Siska shifted the topic of conversation. Actually Siska didn't like it much when Marissa always cornered Tomi like this.

"Not yet." Marissa nodded slowly.

"Gue bribe, huh?" Siska grabbed the food box that was on Marissa's nightstand.

"No, I don't want that food." Reject Marissa when Siska just opened the lid.

"But you gotta eat, Sa. You're pregnant again." Siska Sweat. Marissa glanced at the green box and clenched her lips again.

Siska snorted softly, closed the food box again and put it back on the nightstand as before.

"What do you want to eat?" Ask Siska.

"Gue wants fruit food. Tomi bought it yesterday in the hospital canteen. Food's great. I want to eat that now." Marissa said with a facial expression that really wanted the food she meant.

Siska pulled the corner of her lips faintly. Apparently Marissa recalled the little attention Tomi gave her. Just waiting for her heart to open to accept Tomi as her husband and father to their child.

"Yes is broken. I'll call Tomi first. Let's bring all of you here." Siska picked up her bag lying on the chair.

"Where is he going?"

"He's been gone since this morning."

"Oh, huh? Since morning, and haven't come back till this hour?" Ask Siska. Marissa nodded.

"Tumben much?" Say Siska with fingers typing a message for Tomi.

"Yes." Yeah."

Silent.

"So morning..gue came by the police here." Marissa looked down and was sluggish.

"Police?" Marissa nodded.

"Why?"

"Gue was sued by Rama for the accident that befell Hasna. The police said that the woman was critical." Marissa squeezed out the blanket that covered her leg.

"God..." Lirih Siska's.

"Gue was confused, Sis. I don't want to go to jail. I don't want to be in jail until I'm in jail." A drop of her tears dripped down on the blanket she wore.

"Gue wouldn't want me to spend my days in jail. I don't want to." Marissa shook her head accompanied by a sobbing.

Siska approached, and grabbed Marissa's body into her arms. Giving a gentle swab on the back of the pregnant woman, just to eliminate the anxiety that Marissa naturally.

"Gue doesn't know what to say let alone lo, Sa. I have often heard about this problem. But you never heard my words. I'm saying this doesn't mean I'm on Rama's side, or anyone with thoughts that run afoul of you. Nope. But more because I care, and I love you more than a friend."

For a long time the two hugged each other, until the door of the room opened from the outside. Tom entered the room with a plastic bag in his hand.

Marissa let go of Siska's embrace and rubbed rough the remaining tears on her face.

Tomi put the luggage on the nightstand and moved it in a bowl that is commonly used for eating patients. The two women noticed what Tomi was doing. Can Siska see clearly how the man was so sincere to treat Marissa, like a husband who was so attentive to his pregnant wife. It's just that Marissa can't see the sincerity Tomi gave her.

Without saying a word, Tomi placed the fruitful food she had just bought from the hospital canteen on the nightstand. The smell that was so fragrant filled Marissa's sense of smell. Made the woman spit because she wanted to taste it immediately.

Marissa felt that something had happened. Tomi looks nothing like usual. The man was impressed to be quiet. Usually, even though Tomi does not interact with him much, but the man still wants to invite him to talk. Especially when he reminds her to eat on time. But this time?

Siska noticed the look on the face Tomi showed. It seems Tomi got a rejection from Rama. Otherwise, there was no way the man would show this stupid look right now.

"Tom, can I talk to you for a second? Ask Siska.

Tomi who was already at the doorway stopped her movement.

"You better stay here. I'll go for a minute." Tomi said without looking at them.

The door was shut by Tomi from the outside. Leave two women who look at each other with a questionable look.

"Ee. You should eat first. It was too late." Siska and Marissa nodded.

"If you need anything, you say it." Said Siska who sat back on the chair.

Siska immediately sent Tomi a short message. Ask about his encounter with Rama.

~Where? Does Rama agree?~ Siska.

Actually without asking, Siska can already guess from the look of the face Tomi showed. But he should ask his friend directly, rather than guessing.

~Rama refused, she did not accept any reason to delay Marissa's legal proceedings. He'll keep it running, no matter what Marissa's situation.~ Tomi.

~But, you already said right, if Marissa's condition is not possible after the accident yesterday?~ Siska.

~Udah. I told you everything. Even when I almost lost my son. But he didn't change his decision. His wife Rama is in a coma.~ Tomi.

~And are pregnant.~ Tomi.

"Gosh...so?" The two messages Tomi sent made Siska close her mouth with one hand.

"Rama's wife is in a coma? In a state of pregnancy? I don't know what else to do, Sa. I think what you're afraid of, will happen soon. Because Rama won't let you off just like that."

Siska looked straight at Marissa who was enjoying the lunch that had been missed. Siska can't imagine Marissa's fate after this.
