Since the afternoon Bu Rahayu's house looks busy. Tonight Tomi plans to have a marriage contract with Marissa. Just a marriage contract, like what the man said to Marissa. But the woman continued to give rejection. While tomi remained in his stance, marrying Marissa not only saved the woman's honor, but to provide clarity of status to the child who is Marissa's birth today.
Just invite the right-left neighbor as a witness as well as religious leaders to marry the two. There will be no party after that.
Marissa was looking at herself in front of the mirror. There was no happy look on her beautiful face. Without the bride's kebaya, only a simple robe belonged to Tomi's sister, who was deliberately left for a change of clothes when she returned home from college.
"Prepare, soon the show will begin." Tomi. The man looked neatly dressed in a white shirt with black pants, as well as a black hunchback on his head. Looks different than usual.
Do not answer, nor look. Marissa remained in her position facing the mirror. Tomi only gave four months for their marriage, until the child she contained was born more precisely. After that they will split up as agreed.
"Son, you're not ready?" There was a sound of Bu Rahayu from the direction of the room door that was slightly open. The woman approached Marissa who was sitting in front of the dressing glass.
Marissa threw away her gaze avoiding the woman's gaze. Since his arrival last night, only Ms. Rahayu spoke when she was chatting together. While Marissa, the woman clenched her lips together.
Ms. Rahayu did not find a happy look on the beautiful face of her future daughter-in-law. Not even a smile could be seen on the corner of his lips.
Ms. Rahayu walked up to Marissa, and stood right behind the woman.
"Once again, forgive your son, son. I know that your marriage is not a marriage you might never expect. But, try to look at it from a different point of view. Your child deserves a better future, regardless of how he or she is present. Think about the feeling later. I never forced you to cancel this marriage." Said Ms. Rahayu by gently rubbing the woman's shoulder. The middle-aged woman smiled warmly.
"Prepare, the ruler and the witnesses have come." After saying that, Ms. Rahayu came out leaving Marissa alone in the room.

"I accept Marissa Anindita bint Yahya's marriage with the dowry of a set of prayer tools paid for in cash." Said Tomi loudly with a single breath.
"How, witness? Right?"
"Well." Right."
"Alhamdulillah." Speak to everyone in the room.
Marissa squeezed the robe she was wearing. In this instant, she had officially become the wife of Tomi. Never once did he imagine getting married to his ex-girlfriend. What befell them was an accident, which Marissa thought she would be able to use to ensnare Rama. But she was wrong, precisely her current position, she officially became the wife of the man who is the biological father of the child in the womb.
"Now you have become lawful husband and wife. My advice, you should immediately register your marriage in the office of religious affairs. So that your marriage is recognized by country." Penghulu. Tomi just nodded with a smile.
For now Tomi has not thought about the fate of their marriage in the future. Her priority right now is the child in Marissa's womb, her flesh and blood. He decided to release Marissa after the child was born. Just four months. After that, they will live their own lives.
Guests who are only a few are enjoying the dishes that have been provided and have a little chat. After that they decided to go home.
Tomi helps Ms. Rahayu to clean up the house. While Marissa, the woman chose to go straight to Tomi's room, even before the guests went home.
At nine o'clock in the evening, Tomi was finished and decided to go to her room to rest. He found Marissa sleeping on the bed she used to use. It looks like the woman is still wearing the robe she was wearing earlier. Tomi took a pillow and a blanket that was still clean from the closet. The man prefers to roll out the carpet he used to pray to sleep tonight.
Marissa squirmed as she felt her stomach so hungry. He did not eat until he finally fell asleep. And now it's one in the morning. The two neutrals scanned around the room but did not find Tomi's figure there.
Marissa got out of bed, and accidentally stepped on something that made her tiptoe a little. He accidentally steps on the foot of a sleeping Tomi, and wakes the man up.
Tomi squinted her eyes adjusting the light of the room lamp. He found Marissa sitting with her legs down from the bed.
"Sori, not intentionally." Marissa flat said.
Tomi stared at Marissa.
"Gue lager." Squeak Marissa.
Tomi was throwing her rough breath. She remembers Marissa leaving the show before the guests came home. The woman skipped her dinner.
"Lo wait here, I take it for a moment." Tomi went out of the room.
The whole room looks dark. Tomi went straight to the kitchen without turning on the lights so her mother wouldn't wake up.
"Tomi?" Said Ms. Rahayu when she found her son was in the kitchen at a clock like this.
"Mother?" Tomi was surprised to find her mother standing nearby. Though he deliberately did not turn on the lights so that his mother did not wake up.
"Want to eat, son?" Bu Rahayu asked when she saw Tomi carrying a plate of rice.
"No, Ma. Marissa had not eaten before. Now he's hungry." Answer Tomi.
"Here I help warm the side dishes." Ms. Rahayu took the bushel containing the leftover side dish entertaining their guests earlier from the refrigerator.
"No, Mom. Let Tomi." Push Tomi smooth.
"Udah, you sit down."
Tomi followed her mother's request. He sat on the dining table chair in the kitchen.
"Are you guys gonna stay here?" Tanya Bu Rahayu who was standing in front of the stove.
"No, Ma. We'll be back in town soon. Tomi only applied for three days off. We'll stay until the day after." Answer Tomi.
"Where are you guys going to stay? In your contract, what's in Marissa's house?" Rahayu looked at Tomi who was sitting behind her.
"We both signed, Mom. Maybe we'll stay in Tomi's contract soon. Because it's closer to where Tomi works, and it just so happens that Marissa's not working either." Answer Tomi.
"Let's talk carefully about where you'll stay after this. Prioritize the comfort of your wife, because she is pregnant. Remember, pregnant women need comfort." Said Ms. Rahayu who sounded like an advice.
Without them noticing there was a pair of ears listening to their conversation. Marissa was standing on the doorstep. His intention was to catch up with Tomi who never came back, because he was very hungry. But instead he found Tomi who was talking about herself with Ms. Rahayu in the kitchen.
The woman who had officially become her mother-in-law was so concerned about herself. Even asking Tomi to put his interests first. Then Marissa decided to go back into the room.
Not long after, Tomi also returned with a plate of rice and a glass of water.
"Eat it, I'll be out for a minute." Tomi puts Marissa's food on a small table beside her bed, then goes back out of the room.
Marissa stared at Tomi's departure, leaving her alone, and then turned to look at the food Tomi had stored on the table. Nothing special, just a home-cooked meal. Meat rendang with fried sambal ati ampela.
A speck of clear grain dripped down her beautiful face. Suddenly he remembered the time when his mother was still alive. Marissa misses a little attention like this. A mother's attention to her daughter. And now, he gets that attention from Ms. Rahayu, Tomi's mother.
Staying two nights at Tomi's house, Marissa felt something was stirring her heart. I don't know, even he can't describe what he's feeling right now.
