The Angel of Wounds

The Angel of Wounds
Chapter 100

Marissa squirms as the warm morning sunshine hits her pretty face. The woman opened her eyes, and blinked to adjust the incoming light in her vision.

Marissa looked around. A foreign place. Instantly he sat down to remember the events of last night. Tomi brought him here. I don't know where, he doesn't remember it very much. They travel at night.

Marissa glanced at the clock on her wrist. It's almost nine. He got out of bed and out of the room.

The house looks lonely, there's nobody in there. Tomi did not see the nose. Where is that guy? Even Tom left himself alone.

Cclek

Marissa's attention was distracted by the sound of the door opening. A woman who he estimated was about fifty years old entered the house.

"Are you awake, son? Ask the old woman.

Marissa stayed in her place. Both of his neutrals scanned the appearance of the woman before him. Very simple with home negligee and an instant green veil.

"I'm Rahayu, Tomi's mother." The woman said as she extended her hand.

Marissa looked back at the old woman. During his relationship with Tomi, he never knew the man's family, because Tomi had gone to the city to study and work. The appearance of Bu Rahayu is really much different from that of Miss Diana, Rama's mother. Hesitatingly he returned the old woman's hand, and shook it.

"Tomi said, yesterday you guys came almost midnight. I'm sorry I couldn't welcome you guys." Said Ms. Rahayu with a very warm smile.

"Sit, Son. I'll get you breakfast. It's like this, you must be hungry." A smile never faded on his wrinkled face.

The woman took Marissa by the hand and led her to a small table near the kitchen. Looks like a dining table. Marissa sat down without saying a word. He watched the woman get food for him. Rice with fried chicken side dishes and soup is also another complement.

"Mom doesn't know what your favorite food is. But vegetables are very good for pregnant women." Say Mrs Rahayu softly. The old hand gently pushed the plate filled with food in Marissa's presence.

Marissa looked at the woman sitting in front of her. How does the woman know if she is pregnant?

"I'm sorry mom, yeah. Because he married you in series." Marissa knitted her eyebrows together.

Married sirri? So Tomi says if she has married Siri to him?

"Hopefully, you can immediately formalize your marriage. I will always wish you all the best." Said Ms. Rahayu very sincerely.

"Eat, Son. Mom, go to the room for a minute." Ms. Rahayu moved up, and went into one of the rooms.

Marissa saw a plate full of food. Honestly, food like this is not her taste. But I don't know, all of a sudden he wanted to taste it. He immediately put a spoonful of food into his mouth. It feels really good. Marissa feeds back until the food is gone.

Marissa looked around the living room. Nothing special. Everything is simple, but very neat. Wooden chairs lined around the table in the middle. A small table in the corner of the room, with a vase of flowers on it, makes the room look sweet.

Marissa's attention was focused on the picture frame plastered on the wall. A family photo. A picture of Ms. Rahayu with a man, possibly her husband, Tomi's father. Tomi once said that his father died of kidney failure. Then there is also a photo of a boy, namely Tomi, and a girl.

"That's a picture of Tomi with her little sister. Her name is Raisa." Mrs Rahayu said from behind Marissa.

The woman smiled warmly at Marissa. Seemed very happy on his old face. Since Tomi said that if Marissa is his wife and is pregnant, Ms. Rahayu is more eager to prepare all the needs of her son and daughter-in-law.

"Raisa's still in college out of town, next week it's time for her to go home. Stay here longer. Let me have a friend." Said Ms. Rahayu. She always felt lonely, because her two children were not at home with her. Her husband left her almost ten years ago.

Marissa slightly forced her smile. Stay here longer? Just be right. Tomi is nobody to him.

"Assalamu'alaikum." I heard greetings from outside the house.

"Your husband is home." Said Ms. Rahayu with a bright smile.

The woman walked to the door and opened it. It turns out that Tomi is coming. Marissa looked at both. The man kissed the back of his mother's hand, then went inside. Their views met, but no words were spoken. Tomi just passed inside with a few bags of stuff and a backpack on her back.

"No, Ma. In a minute." Tomi took out her groceries and arranged them on a small table in the kitchen.

"Eat first, your wife has eaten just now." Tomi stopped her movement, then reassembled her luggage.

Marissa only paid attention to the two without any intention to join them. Ms. Rahayu is a very friendly and warm woman. Perhaps it was that trait that decreased in his son. Tomi men are fun, even rarely look angry. Therefore, when Tomi was emotional last night, Marissa did not dare to answer him.

"Mom just cooked this. If you tell me from the beginning of your arrival, I will cook you your favorite food. Because there's only this left in the fridge." Ms. Rahayu got some food for Tomi.

"But thank God, your wife loves it." Ms. Rahayu turned her head and smiled towards Marissa who was peeking at the middle room.

Tomi's gaze was diverted to Marissa who remained in her position. It was seen that the woman was watching the interaction between herself and the mother.

"Eat." Ms. Rahayu offered a plate of food in front of Tomi. The man turned his eyes to his mother.

"Thank you, Mom." Tomi commented a smile at the woman who had given birth to her.

Marissa looked at Tomi who was smiling. After almost five months he saw the man smiling again.

Tomi began to enjoy the food in front of him and occasionally had a warm conversation with his mother. I don't know what Marissa is feeling, but something strange is running through her chest.

Tomi occasionally glances at Marissa between her conversations with Ms. Rahayu. Eventually, Marissa returned to her room.

"Tomi, can you ask me something about you?" Tomi stopped her mouthful and looked towards the mother.

"I'm sorry if later the mother's speech offended. But you also deserve to know what happened to your son." Tomi let out a long sigh, then nodded slowly.

"Are you really married, or were you married when you found out Marissa was pregnant?" Ask Ms. Rahayu.

Her mother's question made it difficult for Tomi to swallow food that had reached the esophagus. Should he be honest with his mother? But Tomi doesn't want her mother to be disappointed. Tom put down the spoon in his hand. The mother's hand and she held it warm.

"Mom, I'm sorry Tomi. Tomi has let mom down." Said Tomi who did not dare to look into the eyes of the mother.

The man suddenly sat down in front of his mother. Put his head on the lap of the woman who gave birth to him.

"Ampuni Tomi, Mom. Tomi failed to be a good son to mom." Tomi.

Ms. Rahayu seemed to understand the meaning of her son's words. The old hand that had been stretched out pulled back.

"Actually we're not married, but the child in Marissa's womb is Tomi's son. We didn't do it on purpose, Mom." The clear thread finally broke through those two old eyes.

"Tomi is not a child to be proud of. Forgive Tomi, Mom. Tomi khilaf." Ms. Rahayu felt the clothes she was wearing wet. His son was crying on his lap. The old hand finally reached out to touch the son's head. He gently rubbed the top of his son's head.

"When did you do that, you remember Raisa's mother too? We are both women. What if your sister experiences the same thing Marissa did? Just by imagining it, I can't, son." Said Ms. Rahayu with a sobbing that began to sound.

"You've ruined the future of people's girls, son. Take responsibility for your actions. Remember, what did your father say before you went to town to continue your education?" Feeling a nod in the lap.

"Whatever the problem that is happening to you, face it, never run.real men will never run away from the problem, but real men will still face the problem and try to solve it." Tomi's speech mimicked the words of her late father with wet eyes staring at her mother's shady face. Ms. Rahayu cupped Tomi's face with both hands.

"Solve your problems with Marissa, son. Never run away from responsibility. Not only Marissa is your responsibility at this time, there is a child in Marissa's womb as well. And you also have a greater responsibility than that. Take responsibility for everything before God. Marissa Marissa. Give a clear status to the baby he is carrying. Even though the boy never said anything to you." Said Bu Rahayu who looked straight at her son's wet bead.
