Lucy just kept quiet and continued what her grandmother had told her to do. Since her mother's death, Lucy's grandmother has been very strict with Lucy, fearing anything could happen to Lucy out there. Moreover, Lucy has a pretty face, not itching it will make the bad men will tease her later.

Lucy washes their cutlery in a shower not far from the cottage while her grandmother continues picking cabbage. Gardening work has been done by his grandmother and mother since the first after harvesting they will sell it and some of them will be stored for their own food. Lucy's family can be said to be a family that is classified as low income, they only rely on the garden to eat and daily needs.

"Good day, miss." said a man.

Lucy who was seriously washing the dishes was surprised and immediately turned to the source of the voice that turned out to be a letter carrier.

"Ah sir your post surprised me. Is there a letter for grandma?" ask Lucy plain.

"Yes, it looks like it's a letter from your father Lucy" said the man, who is also his best friend.

"From my father? Why did he send a letter? Didn't he already not send us the money after five months ago?" ask Lucy wonder.

"Let's see, maybe he's sick or something. Okay Lucy I'll continue my work. Give my regards to Grandma Grace." said the man leaving Lucy.

Lucy nodded and waved her hand, she was very curious about the contents of the letter sent by her father. He quickly approached his grandmother and gave her the letter in his hand.

"Grandma, Zoe just delivered a letter. He said that this letter might be from dad, would I open it?" ask Lucy.

"Somehow, maybe she's sick or something's happened to her" Lucy said.

"Just let it go if something happens to her, after she abandoned you and your mother I no longer consider her my son. He may run away from all trouble and leave your own mother until death to pick her up. I really don't have a son like him, all I have is a daughter and a grandchild. Even though that woman is not my flesh and blood." said the granny a little sad.

"I understand grandma, I promise I won't leave grandma alone. I will take care of my grandmother at any time, and will always be with my grandmother." Lucy said, hugging her from behind.

"Ha ha ha, you also have to go someday Lucy" said the grandmother.

"What...? What does grandma mean? Grandma kicked me out?" ask Lucy wonder.

"No, you will also leave later when a man marries you and wants to live with you" she explained.

"I'll take Grandma wherever I go, if she wants to marry me she should be able to accept you to come with me and stay with me too" Lucy said.

"Stop talking nonsense like that, read your father's letter. Maybe this is the last moment for him." said grandma.

Lucy opened the letter which turned out to be not just a letter but several pieces of money in it. The number is quite a lot to make Lucy's eyes wide open to see the amount of money.
