It's been almost two days since Lucy's last meeting didn't see Andre. Andre's tumbens didn't tell him at all. Not even calling her, Lucy was a little worried about Andre's current state and tried to send him a message.
"It looks like you're so busy, you can't tell me and I'm on the phone. Did something happen to you at this time? Send me your address, let me see how you're doing there" Lucy wrote.
Almost an hour he sent a message but there were no signs of reply from Andre. Lucy was a little upset about Andre's treatment like this, and took the initiative to buy some items in the mini market near her home.
He changed his clothes and put on his warm clothes, actually tonight is Christmas Eve. Lucy is eager to invite Andre to see the Christmas celebration under the Eiffel Tower.
"Ah... There must be a lot of couples there tonight. This includes a romantic evening at Eiffel, and flickering lights will adorn the tower tonight." Lucy murmured.
He chose some room decor, Lucy is a little good at decorating rooms. So even though the house is not too wide but very beautiful in the eyes.
"Lucy.." a woman called her name.
Lucy turned to the woman who called her name, and it turned out to be Caren. Caren was a friend of his when he worked in a shop on the outskirts of Paris, he did not expect to meet his old friend here.
"It's true that it's you, I think I'm wrong to recognize people" Caren said.
"Hy Caren, how are you? It's good to see you again." Lucy said excitedly.
"I'm good, I was so worried when you weren't working anymore. I thought your father tortured you again and did something stupid. I visited your house many times, but no one opened the door. I'm looking everywhere for you Lucy." Caren's story was serious.
"Yes, there's been a lot of trouble I've been through the last few months. Ahh I'll pay for this, after that we go to my apartment for a chat ok." Lucy said excitedly.
"Do you have your own apartment?" caren asked in surprise.
"I'll tell you later." Lucy smiled.
Lucy paid for some of the things she had bought. After that he rushed over to Caren who was waiting for him outside the store earlier. He hugged his best friend's arm and invited her to visit his apartment.
It didn't take them long to get to Lucy's apartment and get inside. Seeing the change that happened to Lucy Caren felt this was a little strange. Because the Lucy he used to know was just a poor girl who wouldn't even be able to live in a nice apartment like this.
Lucy made a warm drink and put out some snacks to be enjoyed while chatting later.
"You've really changed a lot in the last few months Lucy" Caren said.
"It started with my dad selling me to boss David at a nightclub" Lucy said.
"What....? Your dad sold yourself to boss David at the nightclub? So, you're David's boss' mistress now?" ask Caren seriously.
"No, I ran away from boss David's grasp and escaped my father's debts" Lucy said plainly.
"Lucy, are you kidding me? No one can run away from the hands of boss David easily, what else is the issue of debt with him" said Caren half in disbelief.
Lucy tries to tell all the events she has experienced with Andre so far. He even told his relationship with the man who had "bought" him from boss David to Caren.
"So, are you happy? You even know that the man hasn't been able to move on from his first love" Caren said after hearing Lucy's story.
"I will try to make Andre forget that woman and turn to me. And he's been trying for a while, he's been treating me gently" Lucy said, smiling.
Lucy was speechless when she heard Caren's words just now, what her best friend said was true too. How can he forget the figure of Tiara as easily as when with Lucy, and maybe true if Lucy is just an impingement Andre.
Lucy threw away her bad thoughts about Andre and tried her best to think about the kindness that Andre had given her.
"I.... Not feeling Andre like that, I know he's trying to forget his past and open a new page with me" Lucy said slowly.
"I hope so, after all he has sacrificed a lot like this. I think you should try to make him fall in love with you" Caren said.
They talk and spend time together. The presence of Caren makes Lucy not feel lonely anymore and forget Andre who has not visited her for two days.
"Ahh, it's five in the afternoon. I have to go back to prepare for Christmas Eve. Aren't you making Lucy's Christmas Eve celebration?" ask Caren.
"Hmm I didn't prepare anything" Lucy said a little sadly.
"Didn't Andre come and celebrate Christmas with you?" ask Caren curiously.
"Owh, he's a Caren Muslim. So it's not going to be Christmas Eve." Lucy explained.
"What...? She muslim? So this is why we haven't prepared anything for Christmas?" ask Caren seriously.
Lucy simply smiled at Caren's remark that felt strange about Lucy's current attitude.
"Alright, I understand you respect him. You can celebrate Christmas with me, do you want to come?" take Caren to try to understand.
"Can...?" ask Lucy to be happy.
"Sure, I won't let you go through Christmas alone" Caren smiled as she held Lucy's hands together.
Lucy rushes to get her warm clothes and bags to get ready to go to the Caren family home. He was so happy that he would not finally go through Christmas Eve alone as it appeared in his mind just a moment ago.
Suddenly Lucy's phone rang and there was a message from Andre. Lucy opened her phone and read the message.
"I'll be there in a few minutes, sorry to worry you" Andre wrote.
Lucy sat back on the sofa looking at Caren's curious face.
"Ahh Caren, can you write down your address? I'll come when my business is done." Lucy said, picking up the paper and pen.
"Is that a message from your girlfriend? Did he forbid you to go celebrate Christmas?" ask Caren seriously.
"No, he'll come visit here. Maybe for dinner, I'll come to your place after she gets home" Lucy said.
"Alright, let me know if you're leaving ok" said Caren trying to understand her best friend.
Before Caren returns home from Lucy's apartment, she does not ask Lucy to drive her. Because he was used to walking alone.
Andre walks quickly to Lucy's room, carrying a box of Lucy's favorite chocolate cake. Andre ran a little to get to Lucy's place quickly.
