Along the way, Andre and Lucy just kept silent not saying a word from their mouths. Lucy is reluctant to start talking to Andre first, because she feels that the one who should start the conversation is the male side. But with Andre's cold nature, it wasn't that easy to expect everything to just happen. Andre was even more silent without any sign he would start a conversation.
"All right, I'll start it if you don't want to. I'm going to lower my self-esteem for the sake of the certainty of this relationship." Lucy
Lucy looked at the face of the man she loved so much, the face of Asia that symbolizes the characteristics of her country is very attached to Andre's face. Lucy stared fixedly at the face, making Andre feel uncomfortable and looked at Lucy occasionally.
"Mas, don't you have anything to talk about?" ask Lucy seriously.
"Are you bored?" ask Andre back.
"Why are you back? Shouldn't you answer my question first?" ask Lucy wonder.
"Once we left you were quiet, I thought you were thinking something. So I don't want to interrupt your me time" Andre said just anyways.
"Yes, I was thinking about something and this is something very important" Lucy said.
"really? Is it hard to solve the problem? You can share with me." said Andre casually.
Lucy seems annoyed with Andre who is very insensitive with what he says, clearly he wants to discuss the matter of this endless relationship.
Lucy was silent again and did not respond to what Andre had just said. He felt a little annoyed and will try to discuss it after they arrive at the apartment later, Lucy slightly lowered the backrest of the car seat to be more relaxed before long he was closed and washed away in his sleep. Andre occasionally noticed his lover who had now been in dreamland, he let out a long and heavy sigh by stepping on the gas pedal a little stronger making the speed of the car faster.
"Lucy's... Lucy.." said Andre woke Lucy who was still closing her eyes.
Lucy opened her eyes slowly, but at once her eyes widened to look at the scene in front of her. Suddenly they were on the beach.
"Why are we here?" ask Lucy wonder.
"Let's go out." take Andre.
Lucy complies with Andre and gets out of the car, a slightly strong beach breeze flutters Lucy's unraveling hair. Andre sat on the edge of the beach while staring straight at the end of the sea, Lucy followed her lover and sat beside him.
"You didn't answer my question, and now sit here quietly" Lucy said.
"You know, I really like the ocean" Andre said briefly.
"Well, if you like it I will accompany you here until you get bored" Lucy said with a sweet smile.
Andre looked closely at his lover's face, he understood that now in Lucy's heart was full of turmoil but he could hide everything with his sweet smile.
"Lucy I'll tell you the truth" said Andre, staring at Lucy's still-smiling face.
"All right, I'll listen to it" Lucy said seriously.
Now the look on the woman's face turned a little tense, she did not know what Andre would say but whatever Andre's decision now she tried to prepare herself and accept all that.
"I love you so much, even more so when you manage to enter and treat my wounded heart. You are so compassionate, that I am afraid to lose you. You know, everything I give you is not just because I'm kind, but because I'm afraid you're leaving me so I tie you up with all my gifts. Lucy, are you happy when you're with me?" ask Andre.
"Lucy, you can definitely get much better happiness later" said Andre.
Lucy was silent at Andre's words, she looked at Andre with a look of wonder.
"What do you mean talk like that?" ask Lucy.
"I won't tie you any further. I knew this was wrong from the start, but I always tried to convince you and went into your life to the point of not knowing how to get out. So, if you want to find someone much better than me from now on I won't ban you" Andre said.
"Why are you talking like that, is it because we have different beliefs so you just give up on it?" ask Lucy
"Lucy, if you wish to continue our relationship to a further stage, I'm sorry I couldn't fulfill your wish" Andre said.
Lucy was silent to hear Andre's words, so long she waited at last now she got a definite answer that came out of Andre's mouth.
"I can go to your religion if you want" Lucy said spontaneously.
Andre looked at the seriousness of Andre, he stared fixedly at the face of the woman who was now trying to hold back his tears.
"I can't accept you" said Andre slowly.
"Why? Is it because I'm from a broken family? Is it because I'm just an ordinary woman with an ordinary education? Can't I enter your religion and become one?" ask Lucy streak.
Now Lucy's tears are no longer bearable, clear circles are now increasingly rushing out of her eyes.
"Lucy, I never took issue with your social status. It's just, I can't accept if you change beliefs just because I'm not because of your heart." said Andre.
Lucy was speechless to hear Andre's words, how could Andre not accept his sacrifice that was willing to move for his sake.
"Lucy, that belief must grow in your heart and you must feel called upon. Not because of me or anyone else, but because of your heart. What would happen if you moved your faith because of me? I can't take responsibility if one day it turns out you're sorry for your choice" Andre continued.
Lucy who could only cry now could not say a word. His heart is now very saddened by the reality that exists.
"Lucy, I'm sorry I hurt you and made you cry" Andre said.
"No, I'm not just gonna give up" Lucy said suddenly.
Andre was silent at Lucy's words.
"Teach me Islam mas, I just study it for now until I can decide whether I should convert or not. Please teach me and give me an understanding, just once" Lucy said.
Andre was surprised by the words that came out of Lucy's mouth, he never saw Lucy mean it like this. Andre smiled gently at the woman while rubbing his head.
"I will try to teach you to understand what Islam is" Andre said.
