"Lucy's.... Lucy...." Shouted a middle-aged man.
The man looked around for the figure he called in all corners of the house, but did not find it.
"Where's the son of a bitch, I've got to get him fast" he murmured.
The middle-aged man walked into a room, hoping that the person he was carrying was there. He opened the door without knocking first. Sure enough, there was a girl who was sleeping fast. Because the clock is now showing at 3:00, it is natural for every human to fall asleep at that hour.
The man slammed the door hard and immediately walked in close to the sleeping Lucy.
"Basic son of a bitch. I want to die in pursuit of those people, he even sleeps here" he said.
The man approached Lucy and pulled hard on the blanket that covered her tiny body. His actions startled Lucy and woke up immediately.
"Bas with the son of a bitch, I've called you so many times but you didn't answer at all. Are you pretending to be deaf in order to avoid my calling." cried the man with glaring eyes.
Lucy who saw the incident immediately woke up with still holding back her sleepiness and fear.
"Dad, I'm sorry I didn't hear you call me. Because today I'm really tired of working." Lucy said.
"Fuck that excuse of yours, change your clothes and come with me now. Be a dependable princess." said the man pulling Lucy down from her bed.
Lucy is unable to resist the pull of her father and soon gets off her bed. With a confused look he looked towards his father who smelled of alcohol, very stinging nose.
"Where are we going, Dad? It's still late at night. And it's still snowing out there" Lucy said.
The man grew increasingly violent at Lucy's words and held Lucy's face very tightly with one hand, making his blushing cheek become sore.
"Do you have the right to ask me? It's time you returned my kindness all along that raised you. Quickly change your clothes and come with me to see boss David" said the man as he pushed the face of Lucy he was clutching firmly.
Lucy who was treated like that made her tiny body pushed and sat on her bed again.
"Dad, I've been working. I'm gonna make money for dad, I don't want to work with boss David well." Lucy said begging.
"Are you crazy? Your job can only buy a loaf of bread and soup. You better obey me to come along, it's so that your life becomes much more worthy." said his father.
"But dad, I don't want to work at that bar at all. Although my current salary is still small, at least it is much better than I have to work there." said Lucy refused.
"I didn't take you to boss David to make you a worker at his bar. But you will be made a woman, not better" he said with a smile.
Lucy who heard that was increasingly frightened by her father's behavior. Sure enough, she had to be one of the cheesy women who filled the collection of boss David.
"Fuckin' woman, I owe a lot to boss David. And he just asked me to bring you to him so that my entire debt would run out. And also he has promised to give you a life of luxury, is that not enough for you?" snapped at the father.
"Dad I beg you, I'll work even harder to pay off all of my father's debts" Lucy said.
"If you work until all your bones are broken, you won't be able to repay all my debts and interest. You have to come with me and stop talking nonsense." he said growing angry.
The man forcibly removed his legs which were still in Lucy's hands. He leaves Lucy in the room with a hateful face. Lucy who felt that her life would soon be ruined cried as soon as she changed her clothes. He was afraid that for too long it would make the man wrath and make him in even more difficult conditions.
Lucy came out of her room and changed her clothes. Her clothes were simple but because her beauty made her so dazzling.
"Lucy understands, I'm doing this so you can enjoy a decent life" said his father softly.
"Dad, I'd do anything for you. And pay off your debts, I beg you not to take me." Lucy said in tears.
"Stop negotiating with me Lucy. If you don't obey me, I'll call my best friend in the village to destroy the old woman there." threatened the man.
Lucy immediately remembered her grandmother who was in the village. From his childhood, after his mother died Lucy was foster by his grandmother in the village. While his father only sent him money and it was not often, but he really got the love and affection of the woman. And that was enough for Lucy to lose a mother in her childhood.
"Listen Lucy, if you obey all my words. The old woman will live a decent life there, and I will send a lot of money for her. It could take him to medicate and get him back to health." persuaded his father.
Lucy wiped her tears, not knowing what to do now. How could her grandmother accept the money from selling herself, it would make her even more sick if she knew everything. However Lucy absolutely cannot refuse her father's orders due to a similar threat.
"I'm going to obey what you said, but you have to promise me not to hurt Grandma at all" Lucy said blankly.
"You chose Lucy wisely, I promise I'll always send money to the old woman and make sure she's okay" the middle-aged man stroked her daughter's head.
"And one more thing, I don't want to be called Lucy when I'm there. I'm afraid that my name will spread and Grandma will know the truth" Lucy said.
"All right, I'll do whatever you want. Let's go now, get your clothes done" he said with a happy smile.
They go in a taxi to a bar where Lucy's father spends his time getting drunk and gambling. Without thinking about his daughter's feelings he sold his flesh and blood to pay off his debts and some money.
With a blank look Lucy stared out the car window. The streets were filled with white and cold snow, Lucy saw herself in the reflection of the window of the taxi.
"Is this the end of my life? Or is this the start of my dark life? Why are you being unfair to me, God? What was my mistake all along? Do you really hate me and this is the destiny I have to live?" lucy's inner self while wiping away her rushing tears.
Sure enough, his life in Paris was much worse than when he was in the village with his grandmother. His father picks up Lucy who is finished High School and says it will give him a decent life and will help him find a job in Paris. With his fun he followed the middle-aged man and it turned out that what was promised did not match what happened. He was made like a maid and often he had to work more than hours to get enough money to meet the needs of his father to gamble. He hoped that there would be a miracle for him, he was really tired of facing this harsh life.
