Lucy and Carlo wait for Andre to arrive in front of the office, before they wait for a car to stop in front of them. Lucy felt confused because the car that was now stopped in front of her was not at all familiar.
"You know when you're standing there." shouted one man from the car, lowering the window.
Lucy is shocked to see that the one in the car is Andre.
"Ahh I don't know if it's you" said Lucy walking closer to the car.
Lucy bows and sees Leon next to Andre, Lucy frowns as if confused.
"He'll help us find your best friend's contract, Leon knows enough about the area that your best friend will occupy. So we can count on him this time" Andre explained.
"Owh good then, Mr. Leon please help" said Lucy smiling sweetly.
"No need to hesitate, I will also go home and through the area" said Leon.
Lucy and Carlo get into the car and sit in the back. Every now and then Carlo glanced at Andre while playing his fingers.
"So, what price range do you want to rent?" ask Leon directly.
Lucy and Carlo quietly did not immediately respond to Leon's words, Lucy looked at Carlo.
"Ahh, I'm looking for a contract with a price that is a little cheap, safe and close to the workplace" said Carlo nervously.
"I know, but what do I mean by how much budget do you have? Let us go directly to the location without having to travel far" said Leon.
Carlo was silent to Leon's words, he could not say the budget he had because he hoped Andre would help him pay.
"If you don't have the budget how are you going to find a contract. It's impossible we have to ask one by one" Leon said.
"Ehmm how if we look at the cheapest place, I think Carlo wants to see his place first just adjust the budget he has." said Lucy suggested.
"We're looking for a contract, not a missing person. And we also need rest" said Leon ketus.
"We go to one place and you show us the way, if today there's no one to match him tomorrow he can find his own, right? At least he already knows the way to that place and the atmosphere" said Andre.
Lucy and Carlo just quietly heard Andre's decision. On the other hand Carlo was a little upset with Leon who suddenly came with them to find him a contract. He felt Leon deliberately came along and foiled all his plans.
Before long, they arrived at a complex lined with cheap apartment buildings. Leon parked the car and they got off.
"In this building almost the average rental price ranges from 800-1000€ per month and it's just an unfurnished apartment rental" Leon pointed to a building.
"Well, it's pretty cheap to be in an area like this, what do you think Carlo. Are we gonna see him first?" ask Lucy.
"Alright we can see it first, and hopefully it suits my taste" Carlo said.
Leon walks first while Andre grabs Lucy's hand and follows Leon without looking at Carlo. Carlo looked at his phone while checking his account balance, it turned out that the money in his account was only 1200€.
"If I pay the rent for this apartment, my money will only be 200 left, and that doesn't include my daily meal expenses. Ahh what should I cancel to stay in this area." murmured Carlo puzzled.
"What do you think Carlo? Are you interested in filling it?" ask Lucy.
"It's pretty good and the air circulation is also good. What do you think Lucy?" ask Carlo back.
"I agree, even if only one room and kitchen I think this is enough for you alone. Later if your finances are better you can find a bigger apartment" said Lucy.
Carlo nods at Lucy's words, and they go to the apartment owner to push the price. The owner of the apartment had been waiting for them outside with Andre and Leon, seeing Lucy and Carlo come out.
"So how's miss? Are you interested in renting here?" ask the apartment owner.
"I like the apartment and I think it suits me, but can I know what the monthly rent is?" ask Carlo.
"For the rental price it is standard in the settlement here, miss, it costs 750€ per month. And you also have to pay 300€ deposit." said the rental owner.
"Ahh this is quite cheap than we have seen before" said Lucy.
Carlo sees Lucy hesitant, not knowing how to tell Lucy if the money is not enough. If he wanted to invite them to search again, Leon would have made a scathing comment because this is the fifth apartment they visited and it was late at night. Carlo pulls the rental owner a little away from Lucy and the others to talk alone.
"Sir, can I pay the monthly fee first after I receive the salary I will pay the deposit" said Carlo slowly.
"Sorry lady, it's her duty. And also you are the one who asked this apartment, fearing it will be taken first by others." said the rental owner.
Carlo was speechless to the rental owner, confused as to how to tell Lucy. Seeing her confused spirit, Lucy approaches Carlo.
"Carlo, what's wrong? Is there a problem with the apartment?" ask Lucy curious.
"Ahh it's okay, I'm just discussing with the landlord this rental" said Carlo.
"Hows it? If it doesn't so I'll have to go see someone else who wants to see the apartment" the landlord said.
"Carlo, tell me what's going on? it's late and don't you think this apartment suits your taste?" ask Lucy.
"Lucy, my money isn't enough to pay for this apartment deposit. You must know how my finances before." said Carlo told.
"So I told you to look for a contract with what budget? You seem to like bothering people a lot." Leon said annoyedly.
"Ahh Leon is done. Tell you what, you just use my money to pay deposits later if you have it you can return it to me." said Lucy.
"Let me pay the rent and the deposit" said Andre suddenly.
Lucy and Carlo are silent at Andre's words, but Carlo is thrilled that his plan has finally succeeded.
"No need to Mr. Andre, you don't have to pay for everything. I've prepared money for this lease before, so I borrowed Lucy's part of it" Carlo refused.
"I don't give this away for free, your salary will be cut later to pay for it. You just use your money now for other purposes" said Andre.
Carlo was astonished at Andre's remark, how could this man be so insensitive and intend to cut his salary. Isn't that money easy for him?
