Queen Without Crown

Queen Without Crown
Chapter 91 Sickness

A pale young girl stood bowing respectfully before Queen Gita. The girl was wearing a dress made of linen cloth with simple cuts.

The girl's hair was a golden brown color that swayed as her head swung. His eyes were black and his skin was brown.

"Greetings to Queen Gita! " The girl's voice was soft like the whisper of the wind.

"Call me, Auntie! I'm glad to see you, Princess Devi. " Queen Gita touched Princess Devi's cheeks gently, the woman felt the girl's skin rather cold.

"How are you, my dear?" Queen Elok, her mother, asked while embracing the girl.

"I've had better, mother." The answer that was always thrown from the lips of Princess Devi so that her mother was not worried, was again spoken.

Princess Devi is a smart girl. Although his physique was weak yet he was very sensitive to the situation around him. He knew that many people were expecting an heir to the throne to succeed him.

Nevertheless, the girl tried hard not to add to the burden of her parents.

"Come here, aunt brought you something! " Queen Gita took the girl to sit down.

The three of them sat on a long chair with creamy padded pads. The backrest of the chair was made of curved carved wood.

"Open baby! " Queen Gita happily awaits Princess Devi to open her gift.

"Well, that's great! " Daughter Devi's black eyes sparkled, for a moment her pale face blushed.

"You likey? " Tell Queen Gita.

"Like it! " Now Princess Devi's voice was flat when she realized that her aunt's gift might never be used.

Queen Gita noticed the change in the girl's attitude. Then the hand of Queen Gita grasped the hand of Princess Devi.

"Today we're going to play kites together!" Queen Gita assures Princess Devi that her gift will not be in vain.

Princess Devi turned to her mother for approval and found the woman nodding in agreement. A happy sparkle reappeared in his eyes.

The girl then carried a large butterfly-shaped kite that Queen Gita gave to the meadow behind the Graha Usadha building.

Queen Gita and Queen Elok followed her from behind while smiling at the girl's excitement.

The sunny weather and strong winds are perfect for flying a kite. Queen Gita teaches Princess Devi to fly her kite.

The kite soared high in the sky beautifully. The color is bright a blend of red, yellow and black.

Princess Devi was running around happily. This was his first experience playing kites. This was actually his first time playing outside.

The girl's face was a bit red from being too excited. A smile could not be separated from his face. Queen Elok was moved to see her daughter who looked so happy.

"If only I could always see him this happy." Said the Elegant Queen as if to herself.

"I'm sure Devi will be cured! " Queen Gita tried to strengthen.

"When my daughter fought for her recovery, the people around her tried to find an heir to the throne to take her place." Queen Elok said sadly.

"I know that in this kingdom there is a demand for the heir to the throne of a crown prince. But I really hope that such thinking can change. A woman should be able to be a leader if she deserves it." Queen Gita spoke as she continued to look at the girl who was enjoying her new toy.

"Maybe there will be a time when a woman is equal to a man, but my daughter was born before that." Queen Elok is getting sad.

"Don't be pessimistic, Elok. This change does not come by itself, we have to create it. Fight your son's fate, don't give up! " Queen Gita is encouraging.

"You're right, brother. I won't let those people get rid of my son! "

"What if I told Eldrige to take Devi to Lucshire to meet Queen Malea? Who knows if you get treated there, your child will recover? "

"Why not think of me? You should have visited me from the beginning, brother! " The look on the face of Queen Elok was bright.

"I just have some free time now." Queen Gita suddenly remembered her daughter who was studying in the land of people.

Princess Juwita decided not to tell about her encounter with a young man named Nicolae. He was still not sure if what he was experiencing was the reality.

Maybe if he told her instead it would cause anxiety to his friends, especially Ningrum who slept in the room with him.

It doesn't feel like the weekend is coming. There are some girls who have been let out of the dorm since morning. But Princess Juwita still survives in the dormitory.

"You're not out today? " Miss Sekar asked her when she met near the stairs.

"I'll be out in the afternoon, will you? "

"Of course, but don't go home until last night. Before dark you should be back!"

"OK, Miss Sekar. " Reported Princess Juwita obediently.

Evening arrived. Princess Elok permission to go out with Ningrum to the night market. The two girls walked together towards the Alsatian square.

"How can we find Sari and the others if this place turns out to be so crowded?" Ningrum was a bit frightened of being in the crowd.

"I don't know either." Replied Princess Juwita was equally confused.

The two girls looked around looking for their friends. But they didn't find it.

"Let's walk. Even if we don't find them, at least we can enjoy the atmosphere." Princess Juwita took Ningrum and took him walking around.

They stopped by the food booth and bought some snacks. Then take a look at the accessories booth that sells a variety of costume jewelry and pretty trinkets.

After that they even ventured to ride some games. As they queue up the mill game, they encounter Sari, Ratri and Sapna. The three girls were with three young men.

"Why did you guys just come? " Sari asked in a spoiled style as it was being noticed by her boyfriend.

"We've come from before but didn't find you! " An Ningrum replied rather annoyed.

"Yes, stop. What matters is that we finally meet." Sapna mediated somewhat no debate.

They began to climb the iron box shaped like a cage in the game of mill. The cage can only be filled by four people. Sari and Sapna entered with their partner, while Princess Juwita and Ningrum entered with Ratri and her partner.

Princess Juwita clung to the iron in the cage they rode in. As the mill started to spin, there was a subtle sigh that he felt inside his stomach.

The girl noticed the human crowd down there. The colorful tents of the merchants looked beautiful in the afternoon sun. The girl could see almost the entire city, even the Alsatian palace could be seen while at the peak.

But when the game stayed one round, accidentally the eyes of Princess Juwita caught a black figure curled up on the roof of the city hall building opposite the square.

The girl's eyes finally focused on the figure, until she finally realized that what she was watching now was the figure she had once seen in a dorm room.

"Nicolae? " His eyes locked onto each other with the young man's cold gaze as the movement of the cage he was riding on spun down.

"Let's get off! " Ratri's voice gave Princess Juwita's attention to Nicolae.

Princess Juwita stepped down. Then when the girl looked up again, the figure of the young man dressed in all black had vanished.

Suddenly Princess Juwita's body shivered as if he had a fever. The girl held up the scarf that wrapped her shoulders.

"We'd better go home now! " Seek Princess Juwita pleaded.

"Sorry Juwita, but we still want to try another game. If you want to go home, go home first." Sari spoke while holding the young man from earlier clinging to her.

"Okay guys, I'll go home first!" Princess Juwita does not want to interfere with her friends' dating events.

"I'm coming home! " Ningrum followed Princess Juwita.

As Ningrum grabbed Princess Juwita's hand, the girl was shocked when she realized that her friend's body was shivering violently.

"Are you sick? " Ningrum looked very anxious.

"It looks so." Princess Juwita replied weakly.

Along the way, Ningrum met his friend carefully. Although Ningrum's parents were of medical background, yet the girl had never treated a sick person.

"Hold Juwita, we'll be there soon!" Say the girl worriedly.

"He why? " Suddenly a voice shocked Ningrum.

The girl raised her head and looked at the tall, handsome man she had seen escorting her roommate.

"Juwita suddenly got sick! " Ningrum's voice trembled somewhat, between worrying about his friend and admiring the man in front of him.

"Let kugendong! " The silver-haired braided man immediately grabbed Princess Juwita's body into his arms and held her up on his sturdy hands.

"Eldrie? " Daughter Juwita looked at that handsome looking anxious face. The girl's hand reached for the jaw to make sure she wasn't hallucinating.

Suddenly Eldrige seemed to be jolted by the touch of the girl. Princess Juwita's black eyes looked weak and faint but strangely as if sending some kind of electricity that stung her heart.

The man's red eyes gushed with huffiness as he felt his heart suddenly thump. As much as possible Eldrige tried to avoid looking at the bay leaf-shaped eyes with lentic eyelashes.

But as if his brain had lost control of his body, along the way his eyes could not be separated from the eyes of the girl who was staring at him.

Ningrum ran trying to keep up with Eldrige's wide stride. But the girl was always a few steps behind the fairy.

As they enter the dormitory, the girls become hysterical at the sight of Eldrige. Miss Sekar immediately came upon hearing the commotion.

"What's going on, Eldrige? " Miss Sekar looks confused.

"Juwita fell ill. I want to take care of him!" Said Eldrige while looking at Miss Sekar sharply.

Miss Sekar nodded and took Eldrige to the infirmary. There, Eldrige laid Princess Juwita's body on the bed and covered her.

"Don't worry, Princess. I'll take care of you!" Eldrige stroked Princess Juwita's head as was her custom, but suddenly her hand stopped as she felt an unusual pounding on her chest.

Eldrige immediately withdrew his hand and walked away. The man was trying to understand his own feelings. When a healer entered, Eldrige just stood by the door anxiously.

"This girl has a fever, maybe she's not wearing enough warm clothes when the weather is cold." The physician concocted a medicinal herb and wrote down the instructions for use.

Eldrige walked up to the middle-aged man and received his concoction medicine. The physician repeated the instructions he had written on the paper to Eldrige.

"Don't forget to keep it warm!" Message the physician before leaving the room.

"Eldrie! " Call Miss Sekar when the woman comes in.

Eldrige turned to him for a moment and then turned his eyes back to Princess Juwita who was now asleep.

"I'll let you wait for Juwita but only tonight. I don't want the girls here to feel unfair!" Miss Sekar is trying to make Eldrige understand.

"Yes, it's okay. Thank you for letting me wait for him even if it's just one night!" Eldrige said sincerely.

"I hope Juwita gets well soon. After all, I really love this girl outside of my post as a housewife." Miss Sekar then walked out of the room by not forgetting to close the door from outside.

Now in the room there are only Eldrige and Princess Juwita who are asleep. Eldrige then sat down on the chair by the window. The grass field looks dark out there.

A servant came to bring hot porridge and water for Princess Juwita. While Eldrige got a simple dinner dish like the one eaten by the whole hostel.

But until the night Eldrige didn't touch his food. The man then fell asleep after hearing the curfew bells ring.

At midnight, Eldrige suddenly felt a piercing chill. His eyes were open and seemed to light up in the darkness. His sensitive sense of smell sensed a strong scent of magic.

Eldrige scanned the entire room but did not sense the existence of any creatures. Then the man came out and walked in the quiet and dark corridor. The lighting in the dormitory is only placed at certain points.

Wuuushu!

Suddenly Eldrige felt the wind pass through his nape. It was only an instant, yet the man still caught the chill. Suddenly the feeling is not good. Eldrige then walked over quickly to inspect the room where Princess Juwita was located.

As Eldrige opened the door, he was shocked to see someone dressed in all black bowing next to Princess Juwita.

"Who are you? " Shouted Eldrige.

The man turned to look at Eldrige and grinned furiously. Eldrige could see a pair of fangs at the corner of the person's lips.

"Basic bully! " The man cursed.

Suddenly the man's body vanished from sight. Eldrige wanted to chase after him immediately, but he broke his intention once he saw Princess Juwita awake.

"Eldrige, my neck hurts! "
