Eldrige threw a cold gaze towards the skinny old man who was walking over to the line of soldiers. The shaman looked full of confidence.
"Thank God you knew, so I hope you leave this place soon."
"Maybe, but I'll take Princess Juwita with me."
"can't. Princess Juwita's place is here, you go home alone. Didn't he reject you? Know a little shame!" tease the shaman.
"I don't need your advice. I just want to bring Princess Juwita home and keep her away from bad guys like you."
"So you wanna fight? Huh, don't be arrogant, you're no longer the fairy goddamn master of magic." The old shaman looked at Eldrige with a look of disdain.
"Oh yeah? So what do you want?" ask Eldrige.
"Of course it's beating you up!" Suddenly Jadukari Daalal Nath raised his index finger towards Eldrige. There was a kind of hot air that was thrown out so strongly that it led to the handsome man with silver hair braided.
Vush ...
But the attack just passed by as Eldrige tilted his head. Pulling the tip of his lips slightly, Eldrige moved his arm upwards, his hand moving towards the air to send a counterattack at the old shaman.
The double! Bruk!
"Ah, i! You still have magic power?" Jadukari Daalal Nath holds his chest which throbbed hot from being hit by Eldrige. At the corner of his lips was flowing blood.
"You surprised?" cibir Eldrige's.
"Don't be happy just yet, I can live up to this second because I don't rely solely on magic power." The old shaman grinned. He then turned back, towards the soldiers and ordered them to attack Eldrige.
The dozen warriors immediately moved and charged forward. The spear weapons they were carrying were now encircling Eldrige.
"Ah, I don't really want to hurt you guys" Eldrige said.
"Pardon us, Mr. Eldrige," replied one of the soldiers before starting to hit him.
Eldrige moved away. His fist swayed to the left and to the right each man moved his body. He did not intend to attack those soldiers.
Dish!
Trang!
Spears fell on Eldrige's hands. Despite the confusion, the soldiers again attacked Eldrige.
"What's this?" Suddenly King Badre and some of his guards came. He was surprised to see the soldiers now attacking Eldrige, his guest of honor.
Hearing the king's call, the soldiers stopped attacking. They were confused to answer because the king's own mother had ordered them to attack Eldrige, who they knew was the king's personal guest.
"You all right, Eldrige?" asked King Badre as he approached.
"I'm fine, Your Majesty," Eldrige replied.
The gaze of King Badre then fell on Jadukari Daalal Nath who was standing watching while grimacing holding his chest. His forehead creased as soon as he remembered the old man.
"What are you doing here? How dare you set foot again after what you did!" exclaimed King Badre who remembered the old shaman's actions last time.
"Oh, Your Majesty. The king's own mother called me here" replied the shaman.
"Suppose your mouth. How could my mother do that?" furious king.
"That's all right, Dad." This time the call came from the Princess of Pertiwi. The beautiful woman came in a hurry with her husband, Bagas.
"What do you mean, Mother Earth? How could your grandmother bring here a man who'd hurt me?" King Badre doubted his daughter's words.
"Grandma keeps a dark secret, Dad. Ah, I can't say it." Princess Pertiwi leaned her head on her husband's arm, her face looking grim.
"Mr Daughter don't say that, your grandmother didn't do anything bad" Jadukari Daalal Nath said.
"Oh yeah? Then how are you gonna explain the last night ritual? How do you explain your involvement with Mandala who kidnapped Princess Juwita?" Eldrige stared at the shaman furiously.
"What ritual?" ask King Badre. "And was my niece really kidnapped?"
"Just calm down, Your Majesty. At this time Princess Juwita has returned to the palace," Jadukari Daalal Nath replied quickly.
"You see Juwita, Pertiwi?" King Badre looked at his daughter.
"At this time Juwita was at grandma's place. I'm not allowed to see him." Pertiwi answered her father's question.
"That means he's okay, right?" ask her father to make sure.
"Dad, you better listen to me. The grandmother and shaman worked together to harm Juwita," said Puteri Pertiwi.
"What are you talking about, Mother? Why are you saying such a bad thing about your own grandmother?" The voice of an old woman sounded sad. Everyone turned their heads and saw Grandma Divya coming in a limp with the help of her servants.
"Mother?" King Badre immediately approached his mother and swept her away.
"Grandma don't have to pretend anymore. Last night I heard myself when my grandmother told the shaman that she was not actually a descendant of the Dewanata nobility. That's why grandma tried to get rid of Juwita. Because only Grandma Widyalah is the original descendant of Dewanata nobility." Pertiwi Princess spoke with a trembling voice.
"So bad your mouth!" shouted the old woman. He was furious at his granddaughter who revealed her identity in front of the crowd.
"Mom, is that true?" ask King Badre not to believe it. No one has ever said that to her. And if that's true, then his throne now is not his.
"Of course it's not true, Your Majesty." Again Jadukari Daalal Nath answered to cover up their rot.
"You! I didn't ask you," cried King Badre angrily. The leader of the Dewanata Kingdom looked back at his mother to demand an answer.
"We just talk inside" Grandma Divya replied. "But don't involve her" the woman's index finger pointed at Eldrige.
"I'm sorry, Mother, but I think Mr. Eldrige should come along" King Badre refused.
******
"Tell me what I'm really hiding from me!" Both of King Badre's eyes looked at his mother demanding an explanation. Right now they were just three, him, his mother and Eldrige.
"There is no secret, I'm just protecting your inheritance" replied the king's mother.
"Mother, please no more secrets. My heart did not calm down after hearing Pertiwi's words earlier. Moreover, it turned out that the shaman was now on the same side as mother." The heart of the ruler of the kingdom Dewanata was shrouded in turmoil.
"My son, I am your mother. I'm the one who brought you to this throne. I am the one who has cleared your way from the thorns that threaten your throne. You ... just have to trust mom."
"What does mother mean?"
"Mother is actually your grandfather's adopted daughter. He took the mother from the temple where the mother grew up. Mother herself is the descendant of the temple guards who guarded Mangal Arti since hundreds of years ago."
"So it's all true? I'm not supposed to be on the Dewanata throne?" King Badre was sitting listless, the fact that made him completely shocked. "Then the late King Bharata, was he also ...?"
"No. He's a descendant of the Dewanata nobility. That's why when Jadukari Daalal Nath supported his crazy plan to rule the neighboring kingdoms, I opposed it. Because if he succeeds it means he will further cement his power. But look, destiny doesn't allow him to do that. You are my son .. who has the right to inherit the throne of this kingdom." Divya's grandmother looked into her son's eyes.
"Mom, I need time to think. I feel ashamed sitting on this throne." King Badre shook his head slowly.
"Why? Your only barrier I've removed. The girl's been handled by Mandala." Divya's grandmother looked disappointed at her son's reaction.
"What?" exclaimed Eldrige who had been silent until Grandma Divya forgot her whereabouts.
"Well, as you heard yourself, Eldrige. Juwita is now with Mandala. Uma's spirit was already fused in the girl's body."
"Don't mess around!"
"I'm not messing around, Eldrige. You can see it for yourself. Uma and Mandala love each other even though hatred keeps them apart. But I managed to reunite them. Isn't that beautiful?" The woman chuckled as if mocking Eldrige.
"I can't believe your bullshit, old grandma!" Eldrige furiously walked out of the room to look for Princess Juwita. All the scandals that happened in the palace were none of his business.
*****
Eldrige saw Princess Juwita sitting staring out the window. The girl seemed to be smiling to herself.
"Juwita's Princess?" hello Eldrige. But the girl ignored him completely.
Eldrige walked over and stood behind him so that he now saw to whom the girl had been smiling.
"Mandala!" muttered furious. Eldrige's hands were clenched tightly. Out there Mandala was picking marigolds and keeping them pretty much in her arms.
"You who?" the girl asked when she noticed Eldrige's presence.
"Mr Princess, I'm here to pick you up. I think Mr. Princess' condition has now improved so it is possible to travel far."
"I'm not going anywhere. I love this place."
"But Princess, you must go home. Both your parents must have been worried about waiting."
"You .. must know this girl" said Princess Juwita, pointing at herself. "But it's a pity that the girl is gone. Now I am the owner of this body. And I hope you don't bother me anymore."
"Mom?"
Princess Juwita gasped to hear Eldrige calling out to her. "So you know me?"
"I am the girl's protector. I won't let anyone get rid of him, including you!"
"Haha. You are so funny! If you really know me, you should know that all your hopes are in vain." The grin on Princess Juwita's face and the black color of her eyes made her look like everyone else.
"Nothing is in vain if it is based on good intentions." Eldrige's eyes looked burning.
"You're not human, are you?" Uma began to realize something.
"I am from the nation of the fairies" replied Eldrige.
"Huh, fairies are obviously different from gods. The elves have always been subject to man. As for the humans to us, they are submissive" Uma said with arrogance.
"Depends on whom someone submits. Subjection does not mean being lower."
"You're good at words. But I need to remind you once again, I am not subject to anyone. Go, this girl won't come home with you!" Princess Juwita flicked her hand.
"And I'm not leaving without this girl" Eldrige refused.
"Then I have to force you!" Princess Juwita raised her arm and pointed it at Eldrige.
Wuuu!
It was as if an invisible arm had suddenly gripped Eldrige's neck and squeezed it.
"ooohk!" Eldrige's face turned red as a result of the strangulation around his neck. Both of his hands were now trying to take off the grip but only found the air empty.
With a sinless face Princess Juwita smiled as she continued her action.
"Juwita, come back!" whispered Eldrige while enduring the pain. The veins on his neck look bulging.
"Jewith!" call again.
Princess Juwita's body suddenly seemed to jerk. There was an expression of shock and confusion then followed by a change in the color of his eyes to purplish.
"You're back!" With a clenched voice Eldrige moved while holding his neck which was now free.
"Eldrige?"
