Queen Without Crown
Chapter 133 Behind the Lies

An officer named Wicaksana came to the treatment hall to see three adult patients suspected of poisoning.

"Tabib Bagio said that you have been poisoned. But something is strange. " The officer looked at the three men. "Although it has consumed poison, there are some of you who are not at all affected by its adverse effects. "

The three people were silent. Mr. Wicaksana then opened his notes and started reading them.

"Rani, a 35-year-old woman. Experiencing rashes, vomiting, stomach cramps, fever and headaches. There was a little blood in his vomit which indicated that his internal organs were injured." Mr. Wicaksana turned the note.

"Durna, 36-year-old male. Have vomiting and fever."

"Diana is a 24-year-old woman. Have vomiting and dehydration. "

"Alka, 9-year-old male. Experiencing rashes, vomiting, stomach cramps, fever, headache and fainting. With his very young age, the risk is greater because it can take his life."

After Mr. Wicaksana read out his note, he immediately looked towards Physician Bagio. Physician Bagio immediately nodded and gave an explanation.

"The signs of poisoning in Bu Rani and Alka are clear, the reaction is real. As for Mr. Durna and Miss Diana, even though they also consumed poison but did not seem to have a serious impact. I was hesitant at first, but I was finally able to definitely draw a conclusion."

Tabib Bagio then handed out a small package that had been squeezed.

"the sweets? " Task Mr. Wicaksana.

"These are the leftovers in Alka's shirt bag. I have tested it and there is poison there. " Said Tabib Bagio.

"Isn't that sweet you giving? " Mum Rani yells angrily at her husband.

"No, Rani. It's true I gave but I didn't know it was poisonous. You see for yourself, don't you think I ate it too? "

"You all ate it. But didn't you two drink the antidote? " Healer Bagio looked at Mr. Durna and Miss Diana.

"I don't understand at all." Mr. Durna looked at each other with his mistress.

Mr. Wicaksana then got up and again took over the interrogation.

"Bu Rani, tell me the beginning of the incident. "

Then a sad story flowed from the woman's mouth. A few days ago her husband who had just returned from the city came with a woman. She is Miss Diana.

Her husband said that he would soon marry the woman because they loved each other. The embittered Ms. Rani couldn't take it. She became very angry and expelled her husband and his mistress.

But her husband's sister came and advised him. According to their custom, there is no harm in a man getting married again. She will even get customary sanctions if she dares to refuse her husband's wishes.

That afternoon after lunch together, her husband presented sweets as a sign of peace and the blessing of his wife. But soon her husband and mistress were vomiting. The woman then accused Bu Rani of poisoning the lunch dish.

Not long ago, Bu Rani and Alka also vomited. Alka had a seizure and then fainted.

Mr. Wicaksana listened to the explanation calmly. Then he turned to Mr. Durna.

"How's your explanation? " Task Mr. Wicaksana with a serious look.

"I thought at first that lunch was poisonous. I didn't think it was the sweets I gave... " The man looks confused.

"Where did you get that sweet? " Pursue the officer.

"We bought it at the market this morning."

"We? " Mr Wicaksana's forehead wrinkled.

"Me and Diana. " Ask Durna replied somewhat doubtfully.

"Are you and Miss Diana eating or drinking something? "

Mr. Durna tried to remember. Then he looked at the officer.

"Me and Diana drank milk. "

"Does your wife and child drink milk? "

"No, Diana only made two glasses of milk for us. " Mister Durna looks embarrassed.

"After drinking the milk, what happened? "

"After that, we vomited." Answer Mr. Durna.

"Because Mr. Durna and Miss Diana immediately spewed out the poison that was inside the sweets, then you are not affected by the effects of the poison. "

This poisoning case began to coalesce on the two people. The officers began to ask them questions.

"Who among you put poison on that sweet? " The thick-moustached officer asked in a loud tone.

"I didn't do it. " They answered in unison.

Mr. Wicaksana smacked a stick into his palm. His wide eyes dodged furiously towards the two people.

"It looks like a witness must be brought in so you can confess. " She was full of emphasis.

The lovers' eyebrows were wrinkled. They did not understand who the witness was referring to by the officer.

"Bring the boy here! "

Eventually the treatment hall regained its calm after the patients left.

"It turns out that in this peaceful place there is also evil. " Princess Juwita was still astonished.

"Wherever evil exists. Therefore we must remain vigilant. " Bagas smiled at his adoptive sister.

"Poor Alka. His family should be scattered like this. " This time it was Ningrum who said sadly.

"It was fortunate that Juwita reported that important information to father, otherwise.. " Ningrum shuddered.

"I can't imagine the boy's feelings when I found out his own father was trying to kill him and his mother." Ningrum shook his head.

"Right, it was terrible. I also don't understand how someone who used to love can turn out to hate so much that they want to kill that person's life." Princess Juwita pondered.

"Because feelings can change. Evil has deceit that can change a person's nature. Therefore we must not let evil lodge in our hearts." Bagas looked at the two girls seriously.

"I'm sure Mr. Durna now regrets his actions. He has not only lost his wife and children. He also lost his freedom. " Princess Juwita said with a sigh.

"really. But the regret is too late. I'm glad we can stop their crimes." Ningrum smiled. They all feel relieved.

Days after that, the patients started arriving. They are curious about Tabib Bagio who has helped City Hall officers find the perpetrators of the poisoning case of one family.

Princess Juwita is also increasingly busy helping in the treatment hall. He is happy to be able to learn the science of medicine and can help others.

Every day he paid close attention to how Tabib Bagio examined the patients' illnesses and how he treated them. What medicine the healer gave for a certain disease is also always considered.

When Bagas went to look for medicinal plants, sometimes the girl came along. Now he felt that the science of medicine was his passion.

Miss Sekar raises her stuff on horseback and ties it up. He no longer cared about the people in the palace who wanted to take advantage of him.

"Hey! " The woman spurred her horse through the silence of the night.

The streets in the capital seem empty. But the soldiers are still on patrol to maintain security.

Miss Sekar deliberately avoided the guarding points. He did not want to attract the attention of the soldiers so that his departure was known to the palace party sooner than he wanted.

Dawn broke out in the eastern horizon as the woman crossed the Alsatian border. He continued to drive his horse though it was not yet certain the direction he was going.

In front of him lay the prairie Masserjarvi inhabited by creatures half fish. The elf woman had yet to make a choice of going to Nord or to Elfian.

Finally after a long period of weighing, he finally spurred his horse towards the Elfian. He suspected Eldrige would go there to find Princess Juwita.

A cold morning wind hit her beautiful face. And her long curly hair fluttering glittered in the morning sun.

"I can't believe I saw you here. I thought you were at home in your fancy new home. " Suddenly a voice caught Miss Sekar's ear to make it attractive but the bridle.

His horse was strangled in surprise. The front legs of the beast went up.

Miss Sekar looked at the surroundings as the horse she was riding had regained its composure.

"King Pelvis? " The woman's forehead was furrowed from not seeing the figure she had just talked to.

"You still recognize my voice." Between the waist-high grass a long-haired man who always looked wet stood looking at Miss Sekar.

"I don't have time to talk to you. Tell me what you want." Said Miss Sekar from the back of her horse.

"I know you're looking for Eldrige. " The man smiled.

"Do you want to tell me where Eldrige is? " Ask Miss Sekar.

"Why should I do it? Aren't you able to contact her at any time using telepathy? "

"I shouldn't have talked to you. Just wasting time. " Miss Sekar jerked her harness and made her horse run again.

"True to my guess, you can't do it." King Pelvis ran through the grass with a distance that remained parallel to the horse's pace.

"That's none of your business! " Shouted Miss Sekar growled.

"You're too pushy. Believe me, when you try to hold the egg tightly then the egg will break. " An advice was given by the man.

"I don't know what you mean and don't want to know. " Miss Sekar kept his horse racing without looking.

"That means that if you keep forcing Eldrige, he's going to stay away from you. " Shouted King Pelvis as he continued to run.

"Have I noticed that you're too fond of meddling in people's affairs? " Speak the woman.

"Aren't you like that yourself? " King Pelvis reversed the accusation.

"I'm not like that! " Miss Sekar stopped her horse again.

"You've ruined someone's life. And even worse, it also destroyed the entire kingdom. " The eyes of King Pelvis were sharp.

"You like fantasy, King Pelvis. Maybe too long soaking in the water makes your imagination expand. " Miss Sekar Ejek.

"You know what I mean, Sekar. Don't let it be too late you just realized it."

Miss Sekar felt insinuated by the words of King Pelvis. Without ignoring the man, he again drove his horse to leave King Pelvis who now no longer followed him.

A few hours later, he had already entered the territory of the Elfian Kingdom. He kept driving his horse all the way to the capital.

For some reason, the closer he got to the palace the more his heart pounded. He was nervous and confused as to how to show his attitude in front of Queen Gita.

"Dark! " Queen Gita greeted him as he walked into the palace.

Miss Sekar was stunned to see the old pregnant woman. The tired face of the woman beamed to welcome her arrival.

"I miss you so much, Sekar. How many years have we not met, huh? Well, it feels like just yesterday you're still this small. " Queen Gita touched her waist.

The feeling of guilt suddenly grew so big on Miss Sekar's chest. All this time he always convinced himself that everything he did was the right thing.

But when I met Queen Gita, somehow the layers of lies she piled up to cover up the truth were now peeled off one by one. He no longer had the courage to look into the eyes of Princess Juwita's biological mother.

Her heart now clearly accused herself of all the selfish acts that led to an innocent girl being punished for a crime she did not commit.

"Sorry." A heartfelt remark slid from Miss Sekar's lips.
