Queen Without Crown

Queen Without Crown
Chapter 37 The Unexpected Situation

The morning sunlight broke through the window and illuminated the King's private room. Queen Gita is seen still closed next to her husband.

"Darling?" King Satria whispered softly while lying on his side, resting on his elbow, looking at Queen Gita's face.

Queen Gita blinked, not yet fully awake. His eyes then saw the look of a face that looked at him with eyes radiating affection.

"Good morning, my dear." King Satria dyed her, then stroked the black and wavy hair of Queen Gita.

King Satria's lips put on a smile and Queen Gita looked at him questioningly.

"What are you thinking?"

"I'm imagining our baby. How will it look later? Will it look like you or look like me?" King Satria laughed.

"What if he's like me? Are you gonna be disappointed?" Queen Gita looked at her husband.

"No. I'd be so happy!" King Satria looked at his wife's face while moving his fingertips to her stomach.

"I can't wait to see him." King Satria.

Queen Gita smiled happily imagining their future with the child she was born with.

"What do you want for breakfast? Let me have the waiter bring him here?"

"I want to eat scrambled eggs." Queen Gita was twitching spoiled on her husband's shoulder.

King Satria stroked the woman's head fondly. Then King Satria got out of bed and went out to order breakfast for the waiter.

"Breakfast is ready, dear." Soon the King came with a tray of scrambled eggs, a bowl of pudding and a glass of warm milk.

King Satria painstakingly placed the legged tray in front of his wife. Then he scoops the egg and feeds it to his wife who is laughing shyly.

"I can eat by myself." Queen Gita chuckled.

"Don't let me feed you!"

"But I'm not sick. I'm just pregnant!"

"But you're pregnant with my special baby. So let me serve you. At least for today." King Satria again fed his wife.

The sense of happiness felt by Queen Gita is truly indescribable. The sweet treatment of her husband made her dream.

Queen Gita was sunbathing in the garden with her two loyal servants while looking at the brightly colored koi fish.

"I heard that the Kingdom of Angsana has been invaded by the forces of King Bharata." While throwing feed into the fish pond, Esme said worriedly.

"Who is King Bharata?" Ask Queen.

"King Bharata was the leader of the Dewanata Kingdom. He is famous as a ruthless king and conqueror of nations to be made a colony." Esme.

"Then how? Will the Elfian Kingdom help the Angsana Kingdom?"

"Of course, because the Elfian Kingdom and the Angsana Kingdom belong to the Royal League."

Queen Gita looks worried. She worried about her husband fighting against King Bharata's army. She had just reunited with her husband and was not willing to part again.

"I hope that the Royal League forces can dispel King Bharata's forces so as not to cause a greater war." Talitha chimed in.

"Yes, I hope so. May the whole kingdom be saved." Queen Gita involuntarily stroked her still flat stomach.

Queen Gita kept thinking about it all day. He's very worried. I can't wait for her husband to come home to ask her directly.

Finally Queen Gita decided to wait for her husband on the sofa while reading the book Eldrige gave. Not feeling his eyes closed and lulled into dreamland.

When King Satria came in the afternoon, the man found his wife snuggling on the couch. Immediately carry the woman's body to the bed. There was a gurat of sadness on his face.

"When else can I spoil you, honey?" King Satria muttered as he looked at his wife's face.

"You're home yet?" Queen Gita opened her eyes and immediately hugged her husband.

"You must be missing me, right?"

Queen Gita nodded, a drop of tears escaped wetting her cheeks.

"Why are you crying?" King Satria was shocked to see it.

"I'm afraid to part with you again." The woman's shoulders shook, a sobbing began to sound from her mouth.

"Heard you were going to war?" The woman's face looked very sad.

"Do you know that?"

Queen Gita nodded.

"You should know that I was forced to do it. All that in order to prevent King Bharata from destroying the Kingdom of Angsana. Because if the kingdom falls into his hands, then he will most likely come here as well. I'm trying to keep the Elfians out of the war." King Satria explained the reason for his departure.

"When are you going?"

"The plan is the day after."

"And when did you plan to tell me?"

"To be honest I don't know yet. I just don't want to worry you!" Soft talk.

"I knew. Ii'm sorry. As Queen of this land I should have supported you, not burdened you." Queen Gita's voice sounded sad.

"No dear. You are innocent. It's only natural that you act like that." King Satria hugged his wife's trembling body.

"Given your young gestational age, I beg you to take good care of yourself as long as I'm gone." Gently behind his wife's head that stuck to his chest.

"You have to promise to take care of our son, no matter what!"

Queen Gita nodded. " Yes, I promise!"

The departure of King Satria with his troops can not be postponed anymore. They were all five thousand people. It is estimated that they will arrive in the Kingdom of Angsana a week later.

Queen Gita was temporarily appointed as the King's successor, accompanied by members of the Royal Council.

Every day Queen Gita is tasked to solve problems related to government, which is actually less understood. But Queen Gita is willing to learn from her advisors and work hard to achieve maximum results.

It did not feel like it had been five months that King Satria and his troops had left the Elfian Kingdom, during which time the messengers had never been absent from sending word.

The war that was expected to end soon seems to be even more widespread. Even the Alsatian Kingdom that was closest to the Elfian Kingdom had begun to be on alert.

"Your Majesty, as things get more precarious, it's good that security at the palace and at the border area is tightened." Sunaryo, Chairman of the new Royal Council.

Queen Gita nodded, she also felt worried considering the war that was almost in sight.

"good. Immediately tighten and increase the number of personnel, be it at the border of the Kingdom as well as around the palace walls!" Queen's Order.

"Also do not forget to muffle all the news that will make people become angry!" Its effects.

"Your Majesty!"

Lots of things that they discussed that day to make Queen Gita whose gestational age has entered the eighth month feel exhausted.

Her distended stomach makes her breath often tight. Plus the anxiety about the condition of her husband, the more make his health condition decreased.

Eldrige visited him that afternoon with a herbal drink that tasted very good and fresh. The elf checked the condition of the old pregnant woman's body.

"Thank you Eldrige, this drink is so good." Queen Gita takes her drink.

"If Your Majesty likes it, I'll bring it every day."

"You're so nice, Eldrige."

"Has Your Majesty been having any health problems lately?"

"I often have shortness of breath and my legs also often cramp at night." Complaints, several times the woman massaged her own back that felt sore.

"Apply this balsam mint in a sore spot to reduce the pain."

Queen Gita received a round glass bottle that smelled fresh mint.

"Thank you, Eldrige."

Before going to bed, Queen Gita asked Esme and Talitha to apply the balm on her achy back and legs. They both did it painfully. After that Queen Gita fell asleep.

Suddenly in the middle of the night, Queen Gita awoke to the sound of commotion outside. Esme and Talitha met him with anxious faces.

"Your Majesty, the palace has been attacked!"
