Chapter 87 Adjusting Yourself

The dormitory building is separate from the school building. The dormitory building is a rectangular building with three floors. The building is located behind the school building, right across the grassy field.

All the girls occupying the dormitory occupied the rooms located on the second and third floors. The first floor is occupied by Miss Sekar and her staff.

Principals and teachers do not live in dormitories. They occupy official houses located not far from the school.

When Princess Juwita walked into her room that night, her body was so tired that the moment she put her head on the pillow the girl fell asleep. But suddenly he woke up in the middle of the night because of a cold wind blowing on his body. The wind came from the window of his room that was left open.

Outside, the wind blew on the shutters, causing a rhythmic crackling sound.

Princess Juwita then sat on the edge of her bed restlessly in the darkness, listening to every sound. But all that was heard was the sound of wind and the occasional flapping of bats passing in front of the window.

Every now and then the girl turned her head towards her roommate's bed and looked at Ningrum who was fast asleep. The girl slept on her side hugging her back to Princess Juwita.

Then, suddenly, in the silence of the night came another voice. Hard and shrill jerked at him.

"What sound was that? " Murm the girl while trying to normalize her heartbeat.

Princess Juwita froze at the window, scared to death.

There was a large bird perched on one of the branches of the tree. The bird was as big and hairy as a crow. Although she could not see it clearly, the girl felt that the bird was watching her.

With trembling hands, the girl tried to close the window and lock it. Shortly before the shutters closed, the huge bird was seen flapping its wide wings and flying through the night.

"What kind of creature is that? Are there birds that big? " Daughter Juwita wondered in her heart.

In the rest of the night, Princess Juwita simply lay down restlessly without falling asleep again.
