The MVS Chapter 29

As soon as Quinn realized that his inspection skill would tell him the stats of each weapon, he began to wander around the room in search of the perfect weapon for him. Quinn ruled out anything too heavy. Although the power stat he added was good, Quinn had to be fast and nimble at night.

All of the weapons Quinn had inspected so far were at the base level. The lowest level of weapons. Weapons were categorized into eight different levels depending on the monster cores created with them. Of course, this is based on the animals from the planets that have been discovered.

There must be another planet with more powerful beasts and abilities that they had yet to figure out, which might be categorized on top of that. In today's human world, there are two known weapons of this class. The world calls them demonic weapons instead.

After searching around the room for a while, Quinn found a weapon that stood out from the rest.

This weapon matches the skill “Blood swipe”. When used with a gauntlet, the blood swipe will increase strength by 5%.

The glove is black and has a small horn on the forearm. The fingertips are pointed and split at the ends, making them look almost like Dragon's claws.

There were two reasons why the weapon attracted Quinn. The first was that it was the only one that also gave him a defensive stat, not only a strength stat but the second one was more prominent to him. It was the fact that it increased the strength of his only skill, blood friction.

Now when Quinn checked his status screen, he had a smaller number next to his stats that would show the level of the equipment. Quinn now had a strength of 15 stat points. He felt three times stronger compared to before he discovered the system and was ready to test his new strength.

After everyone finished choosing their weapons. Leo called everyone to gather around the middle ring.

“Now I will not claim to be an expert in every weapon,” Leo said, “Some of you may even be able to use your weapon better than me. But what I'm an expert at is fighting with weapons alone. You are always trying to predict your opponent's next move, you are measuring the ability of your opponent and so on. For your first lesson, I'd like to see what you have. We're gonna have a match. Two people at a time. We will all watch the game and comment on what can be improved. Now, are there any volunteers.

In an instant, Erin was the first to raise her hand. Without waiting for Leo to say anything, he headed towards the arena in the middle and stood inside. He held one silver long sword that shone brightly. It wasn't one of the weapons Quinn had ever seen on the wall, so he could only assume that it was a weapon he already had.

Most ability users, if they had a powerful ability like Erin, would rely on that power and not have to bother learning weapons. But it was clear to everyone that he had practiced.

After the fight was over, two men appeared out of the air wearing black military uniforms. They then grabbed both arms of the student and drove him to the school doctor to be healed.

The group continued to witness several fights, the rest of the fights lasted much longer than Erin, as most of the students were equally matched in terms of using weapons. Even when Level 4 power users fight against level 2. When they are unable to use their abilities, it all depends on their skills and body.

The next fight that caught Leo's attention, was the fight with Layla. Layla can no longer use her telekinesis. With his bow, he could shoot forward and predict where his opponent would turn.

Now it's Quinn's turn.

With the Weapon Hall in the room Quinn could use his full stats and his opponent could not use his abilities. Finally, for this time Quinn was in a situation where she did not feel any weaker than the person she was going to fight.
