My Vampire System
The MVS Chapter 15
Layla had been tracking Quinn and the others for a while now, she was even there when Quinn was busy dealing with Mono. Although he did not plan to help or anything, he was simply astonished that Quinn was able to attract so much attention in one day.
The only thing that made Layla confused was why Quinn's punch seemed so weak and slow. From the looks of it, it seemed like Quinn really wanted to hit Mono but it wasn't the best of what he saw at the training center.
After Vorden leaves, Peter and Quinn decide that it would be best if they returned to class for the next lesson. They walked for a while but before they returned to the first year building, a group of first year students stood in front of the stairs.
In total there are three of them and on the watch they have a power level between 2 and 2. 5.
“What we will do, And ask for 50 credits at the end of this week.” Said one of the boys.
“I know, why they should bother us, just because we are weaker than him.” The other boy answered.
Credit is the currency system of the School and the city. Even though they were in military school, the entire city was functioning as usual. There are still restaurants and shops and even fun activities and games to play around the city. If you want to do these things, you have to pay with credit.
The students receive free meals during their time at school but they also receive ten daily credits that will be sent to their watches. The students can earn more credits by doing missions, school activities, and awards well.
Peter and Quinn continued walking past the boys to lead the class, which was when one of the boys called out to them.
“Wait, stop there you two!” the boy shouted.
Peter immediately stopped while Quinn continued walking.
“Hey, did you listen, I said stop.” The boy said, then another boy immediately stood in front of Quinn and pushed her back to where Peter was standing.
Quinn hoped other incidents would not happen at least while in the sun. If he got inside the building just in time then he thought he would have a chance to fight.
“I think I might have just solved our credit problem" you must be the only one who is level 1 in this entire school,” said the boy. “Deliver each 10 credits and you can go inside.”
“But that's all the praise we have,” Peter lamented.
“Look, I don't want to do this but if not, then my ass will lose. Leave the credit now.”
Peter looked at Quinn with hope in his eyes, probably thinking that Quinn might be able to do something like the last time but after trying to hit Mono, he knew he wouldn't stand a chance. Moreover, this was level two even with his full strength he might not be able to defeat them.
Quinn decided that it was better to give up credit alone. It was better than losing the fight and forcing the credit to end.
Quinn received another system message.
[New mission has been given ]
[Different levels have been detected ]
[Additional exp will be given ]
Suddenly, Quinn wanted to test his chances. The idea of gaining additional experience and leveling up further became very interesting to him but Quinn would not let his greed win him over. There were currently three level 2 power users but the system only asked him to defeat one of them.
The first thing Quinn needed to do was to go inside so she could use her inspectny skills and find out who Rylee was. Right now if Quinn were to use it outside, it would only appear blurry.
In the end, Quinn decides to hand over ten credits, He puts his watch on another boy and the credit is transferred. Peter ends up doing the same and they are both allowed to enter the building.
“Hey, that's a good idea, man!” one of the boys said, “Should we stay here until we find someone even weaker.”
“What!” Quinn said in his head, he hoped that once they had paid them, the boys would enter the building but it seemed like they would hang on outside for a while. Quinn suddenly stopped and waited.
“What you two do, scram unless you want to kick ass!” A boy said.
Then Quinn clenched her fists and shouted.
“Rylee!”
The three boys turned their heads at the same time but neither of them replied. Quinn's bad luck continues but he has one more plan to figure out which one of them is Rylee.
“If you pull this kind of thing back at me Rylee, your death!” Quinn.
Suddenly the boy standing in the middle of the three with red hair got up and shouted.
“What did you tell me, little bastard?”
“Running!” run Quinn yells.
Like a bolt of lightning, Peter and Quinn ran as fast as possible to the next class.
“What are you doing that for?” Ask Peter.
“I just want to make them a little upset.”
Peter couldn't help but think Quinn was a little angry but he liked the fact that Quinn didn't seem to accept the nonsense of people stronger than him and rather admired him.
Once they were outside the classroom, Quinn opened her status screen to check if the Quest was still active.
“Good.” Although Quinn was now far away from Rylee, it seemed like his quest was still active and Quinn would gain experience as long as he completed it at any time.
And now he knows which one Rylee is and who his first target is.
“You will help me level up.”
