When the next morning arrived, Quinn made sure to pack a few items with her in her bag. He inserted a blood tube that contained Layla's blood. The remaining four empty tubes and also the mask he bought at the convenience store.
He never knew when a situation would arise when he had to use these things, so it was better to be prepared than to be unprepared. The three boys went for breakfast together as usual and as usual people would look up to Quinn, Vorden, and Peter.
Vorden decided to separate from Quinn and Peter and sat alone at the table of higher levels of strength. But even so, it seemed that no one was sitting next to Vorden. It is clear for some reason that second-year students are making Vorden a target, even though he no longer hangs out with Quinn and Peter.
“Help me, yes?” Quinn asked, “Vorden watched while you were in your combat class today. If anything happens, let me know.”
“But if something happens, I will not be strong enough to help, and you also can not do anything,” replied Peter.
Peter was right Quinn could now barely face a level 2 first-year student let alone a second-year student. But at the same time, Quinn hates the fact that they might target the Vordens just because she chose to hang out with them.
Maybe Quinn could find the weak in the group and go after him at night for questioning. These groups always had weak people acting as intermediaries for them. Ask them to bring their stuff, take food for them, etc.
“I didn't tell you to get involved, I guess Vorden didn't expect you to help him either, but just to tell me what you saw.”
Peter then glanced around the room to make sure no one heard the two of them before nodding.
Finally, after finishing their breakfast, it was time for their combat class. After registering what type of class you want to attend through the watch. This will then show you in which room you will be in for training that Day.
Quinn had chosen the beast weapon class after thinking long and hard. Quinn was known as a user with no abilities so it was really the only option for him. Otherwise, he would just sit behind another class and do nothing.
Weapon classes were very popular among those with abilities capable of upgrading them. Those who could see little of the future, or have telekinesis abilities like Layla would attend these classes. But Quinn wants to find a weapon that suits him and his fighting style.
The weapons hall was far from the main school building and sideways in its own separate building. It was one large building with one room that had the feeling of an Asian palace. To enter the building, the students would need to scan their watches into a scanner and then two large doors would open.
Although the outside of the building has an eastern feeling. The inside is completely different. It was a large room with a ceiling height of about twenty meters. The room had no decorations other than mountains and gun mounts hung on the wall and in the center of the room was a raised round platform.
Standing behind the hall was a bald-headed man who wore a leather protector and had a long katana blade by his side. But the handle of the katana blade was jagged and rough and the back of the blade was the same. Looks like it's been faked from an animal that's not from this planet.
The man remained silent at the back with his eyes closed. Quinn could only assume that the man was their teacher, being the oldest in the room.
The room slowly begins to fill with students and that's when Layla comes in and sees Quinn. He immediately approached her and started chatting. Unlike when Vorden had talked to Quinn, the other students did not pay much attention because Layla herself was also considered weak.
“This class is much more popular than I thought,” Layla said.
The room was filled with about thirty students inside. The other classes had around fifty but it was still more than they had expected.
“Yes, I want to know what weapon I should choose,” Quinn said as she stared at the wall.
“Well, I already have mine,” Layla said as she pointed a bow at her back.
“What is he doing here?”
“Isn't he an element user, why is he here.”
“Who cares, maybe we can forgive him and if we beat him we can ask him out.”
As Quinn turned around to see who the girl everyone was talking about, it turned out that she had met him before. It was Erin Heley, the ice ability user.
“I wonder why he decided to go to this class rather than the element class?” Layla asked.
Just then the bald-headed man opened his eyes and shouted as loudly as possible.
“ATTENTION!”
Everyone froze and turned to look at the old man.
“My name is Leo and I will be your teacher today.” Leo then pulled out his katana sword from its sheath and showed it in front of him. “Your first task is to choose your weapon, you have to think carefully. Your weapon is your life line. When your abilities don't work, the only thing you can count on is your own skills. Now go and pick one of the walls around you . “
The students spread out and started to look at the weapons. Even those who had beast weapons had already tried a new one.
Quinn looked at the wall and saw all sorts of things, axes, short swords, spiked sticks, whips, Scythes. There are so many to choose from Quinn is really having a hard time.
Quinn looked at Layla and her bow. It fits perfectly with his telekinesis abilities. If Quinn chose a ranged weapon, he would never be as good as Layla. He needed something suitable for him now and his abilities.
Quinn then walked up to one of the random swords on the wall and used his inspection skill.
[ The Korge Sword ]
[Tier Basic Beast Weapon ]
[ Power + 3 ]
[ Agilty – 2 ]
[sword not compatible with Blood Swipe skill” ]
The sword Quinn saw was large and looked heavy. Quin has to be quick so losing a few points in dexterity is a no-no. But what surprised him was how much information was provided by his expertise in inspecting. It even told him if his blood friction could be used with it.
It probably wouldn't be too difficult to pick a weapon thanks to Quinn's inspection skill.
